CHAPTER 137: TRUE HERITAGE

The archers of the First Kingdom drew their arrows taking aim, and shot it at the raging soldiers headed their way, as instructed by their commander.

As the arrows approached them, Roweena held back the arrows mid-air, and fired it back at the archers, and the other soldiers on the ground, having energized the arrows, killing them.

"Way to go," Mona remarked as she ran.

The soldiers at the gate also charged at the coalition. As they collided, a bloody fight ensued. The coalition fought bravely this time. Roweena and the witches fought along, using magic.

General Klaus observed what was going on and saw that the tides were against them. He snarled angrily and headed away from where Olexa and the Prince were.

They heard the sound of the clash without the city and knew what was happening.

"Let's go," he ordered Jasmine. She left Prince Tristan and Olexa, following the General.

Prince Tristan spotted the King running into the palace. His anger welled up seeing him.

"He wants to get the hybrids," Olexa said.

"Go help them. I need to take care of something," he said to Olexa.

"Promise me you'll come back," Olexa held his hand. Prince Tristan spontaneously kissed Olexa. She kissed him back passionately.

"I promise," he nodded assuringly.

Olexa nodded, and the Prince scaled through the walls, going after his uncle. Olexa ran to join the fight.

Down at the battlefield, as they fought, a werewolf was about to viciously attack Mona when a hand was thrust through its chest, and it was flung aside.

Mona saw that it was Olexa. She ran and hugged Olexa.

"I'm glad you're okay," Mona said.

"Me too. Now let's show them some girl power," Olexa said.

"You bet," Mona responded, and they continued fighting.

Prince Tristan pursued after the King. He killed the soldiers that guarded the King, leaving just him and his uncle, in the great hall.

"So, you think you can take me on eh?" the uncle said, drawing his sword.

Prince Tristan didn't respond to him. He simply just rushed at him, skillfully fighting him, cutting him at strategic places, weakening him. His uncle fell to the ground, crawling backwards away from Prince Tristan.

"Hold on Tristan. Let's talk, we're family. Hmm?" the King begged, as Prince Tristan walked towards him fiercely.

He looked to the side and saw his sword hung on the wall, which they had taken from him. He got it and drew it at his uncle.

"Wait wait wait! I know you're mad, but I can explain," the King begged, frightfully.

"Why did you kill your own brother, and tried to kill his son? Hmm?" Prince Tristan asked.

"I was just- I was just ambitious, and your father wouldn't see things my way."

Prince Tristan scoffed, shaking his head. "I used to admire you before what you did you know. But now, all I feel towards you is disgust."

Prince Tristan lifted his sword at his uncle and he cringed, screaming in fear, as he closed his eyes. Opening his eyes, he saw the Prince holding the crown.

"This doesn't belong to you," Prince Tristan said and turned away to leave.

As he walked away, his uncle picked up a sword and tried to attack him. But the Prince dodged the attack and gave him multiple cuts. Then he ran his family sword through his uncle's chest, looking him straight in the eye.

"This is for my father," Prince Tristan said and drew out the sword. His uncle fell to the ground and died in a pool of his own blood.

Prince Tristan sighed, wiping his sword, then he ran out to go join Olexa. He met them in a heated battle. He was lucky to spot Olexa.

"You made it," Olexa smiled.

"I said I would, didn't I?" he replied smiling, and they fought together.

On the battlefield, The Legion and the other soldiers of the First Kingdom fought the coalition, but they were not prevailing. They considered retreating until everyone heard the blaring sound of a horn.

The soldiers shouted rejoicing, knowing what it meant.

The hybrids were summoned, and they rushed out already transformed, running towards the coalition. The soldiers retreated, giving the hybrids space.

Olexa, Prince Tristan, and the coalition braced themselves for the impending attack.

One of the hybrids ran faster than the rest and jumped to attack Olexa. She stood ready to fight back, but they heard a swift whooshing sound, and they saw a silver-coated werewolf, holding the hybrid by the neck. It was bigger and more fierce than the hybrids.

The werewolf snapped the neck of the hybrid like a twig. They all gasped at what they saw. The werewolf turned and looked at Olexa.

"Grandpa?" she asked.

He sort of winked at her even in that state, then he roared. The ground began rumbling as the True Bloods ran through the woods making their way out to the battlefield, heading straight for the hybrids.

"The True Bloods," Jon said in amazement, as they all watched in awe.

The hybrids charged at the True Bloods, but they were no match for them. The coalition also joined in the fight, getting their own pound of flesh.

General Klaus was enraged at the outcome of things as he watched the tides really turn against him.

As the battle raged on, Olexa came face to face with her mother again. Jasmine attacked Olexa, but all Olexa did was dodge her attacks, choosing not to fight back.

Jasmine was then able to lay hold of Olexa, and began squeezing her by the neck.

Olexa struggled to break her mother's grip.

"Mot- Mother. It's me, Oly," she said with a choked voice. But Jasmine seemed not to still recognize her.

Olexa gave up fighting, and just looked at her mother, smiling a bit even as she was being choked. Tears ran down her eyes touching her mother's skin, and she weakly placed her right palm on her mother's face.

"I love you, mama," Olexa said weakly, and her hand fell off her mother's face.

All of a sudden, Jasmine gasped looking up. It was as though a flood gate was lifted and a hurricane of memories hit her all at once. She could recall everything about her little girl.

She remembered her smile, laughter, voice, and face.

"Oly?" Jasmine called, looking down at Olexa, blinking her eyes.

"Oly!" she shook her daughter vigorously,

"Olexa!" Jasmine called out, sobbing, drawing the attention of Prince Tristan and Mona.

"Oly? Honey? I'm so sorry. Please wake up," she sobbed, looking at her shaky hands, wondering how she could ever hurt Olexa.

Shaking Olexa vigorously, she jerked awake, gasping for breath. She looked and saw her mother.

"Mama?"

Jasmine hugged Olexa tightly. "Oh my baby!"

Olexa hugged her tightly, as they both cried. Prince Tristan smiled, and Mona teared up little bit.

As they were in that atmosphere, a hybrid attacked, but Jasmine easily finished it off.

General Klaus took aim and threw a spear at Olexa, and she wasn't aware. Prince Tristan saw it headed her way. He rushed and pushed her out of the way, but it pierced him through.

"No no no no!" Olexa screamed out loud. Her head swirled, and she got disoriented.

A kind of rage Olexa had never felt consumed her, and she fell to the ground, twisting and turning, as her bones began to rearrange.

"Her true nature is being revealed," Yana said, observing from afar.

She cried out in pain as she had her first full transformation. When she stood up, they all saw that indeed, she was a True Blood.

She turned towards General Klaus, who was trying to get away and ran after him. Some hybrids tried attacking her, but she ripped them apart easily.

Soon enough, she caught up with him. He transformed also in an attempt to fight her. But Olexa gave him a well-deserved beating.

She slowly walked up to him growling, as he crawled away, in pain, bleeding. She thrust her hand through his back, lifting him off the ground. Pulling it out, she grabbed him by the jaws and ripped his lower jaw out, then ripped off his head from his body.

The soldiers who saw her dropped to their knees in surrender.

She returned back to the Prince and transformed back to her normal state. Mona clothed her quickly. She rushed over to Prince Tristan who was in terrible pain.

The battle was over, as the hybrids were all vanquished, and the soldiers who were still alive surrendered.

"Hey hey, you'll be fine," Olexa said, holding Prince Tristan's hand. He was on the verge of losing consciousness.

"Roweena, do something. Help him, please," Olexa begged.

"I'm afraid I can't. Based on the potion used, trying to use magic will only kill him faster," Roweena said regrettably, as tears welled up in her eyes.

"But your blood can help him father," Jasmine said.

Yana sighed. "If I do, since he's already an inferior, he'll become something else. The first of its kind. Is that a risk you'd like to take?"

Olexa gulped, looking around, and then at Prince Tristan. She saw his life slipping away.

"Do it. Do it," Olexa agreed. She couldn't lose him.

Yana nodded in acknowledgement.

A month had passed after the battle, and peace was restored all through the Five Kingdoms.

It was also finally the day for the coronation of Prince Tristan as King of the Five Kingdoms, and it would double as his wedding to Olexa.

The nuptial agreement between Prince Tristan and Lady Blossom was nullified by the one who joined them, lord Kane.

The monarchy was now made up of a different Council as well. They comprised of Mr Thorne, representing the humans, Roweena, commander Glenn who was promoted to General, as the war chief, Lord Varitas as the King's Advisor, and Tully.

Jon was made the captain of the King's guard, as he chose to stay by Prince Tristan's side.

Lord Kane chose to remain in NorthHill with his family. Lord Arius was innocent of all that the King and General Klaus were involved in, so he wasn't punished. He retired from his position as the chief physician though. The others were imprisoned for their involvement, or their negligence.

All peoples from the Five Kingdoms were gathered at First Kingdom, and they witnessed the joyful coronation and wedding of Tristan and Olexa, as the King and Queen of the Five Kingdoms respectively.

Jasmine was proud of her daughter, as was Yana, of his granddaughter.

Later that night, Queen Olexa and King Tristan were cuddled in each other's arms, looking at the stars, having a good time together.

"Do you feel any different?" Olexa asked King Tristan.

"No, not really, my Queen," he replied playfully.

"The name has a different ring to it," Olexa smiled as King Tristan kissed her, smiling.

Somewhere in the mountains of the Fifth Kingdom, Ruela met up with some old witches. She was banished from her coven, and her daughter Rosa became the leader of the Blood Coven.

She met them as they stood in a circle, around a boiling liquid like magma.

"The time of the fulfilment is upon us," Ruela said.

"Is everything ready?" one of the old witches asked.

"It will be, in due time," Ruela replied.

They all chuckled, looking into the boiling liquid.
