CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
My body couldn't bear seeing him in pain and the thought of not finding anyone who could help me felt crazy. What should I do? I needed to get someone but I couldn't find Fiona anywhere. She was the only acquaintance Sebastian had given me in this palace and I was so lost that I fell to my knees and weeped in fear.
"Why're you crying?" I heard someone ask, I turned around and it was Alexander. I stood up quickly and attempted to run away from him but I had a rethink. If I didn't seek his help it might be too late for Sebastian. I needed someone and here he was, I had to quickly let him know what was going on. Maybe he could help. I just had to try not to let him hypnotise me again.
"Please I need your help to save Sebastian, he's unconscious in the room and I really don't know what's wrong with him." I said pleading with tears in my eyes.
"Let's go." He said with a smile.
I quickly ran as far as my tiny legs could take me into the house. I had to get away from him but I looked back to make sure he was coming. He was smiling and I wondered why he was smiling. Maybe what was happening was one of his schemes.
I opened the door of the room and he came in and sat beside Sebastian on the bed. And he felt his pulse. I wondered if he was a doctor then he said I'll be back and in a few minutes he was back with a cup. I wondered what was in the cup.
" Help me get him up." He said and I ran towards them as I lifted Sebastian on the other side and he fed him what was in his hands. And asked me to let him rest for sometime.
He left the room immediately he was done and left my mind in a turmoil. Why did he help me if he loathes his brother and has always caused a hick in his rule on the pack. I really didn't understand what was going on. Was it a power struggle? Or it was because of something else.
This palace, it's people and the world was confusing to me and I really didn't understand what was going on, I was a baggage of confusion and I really didn't know what was going on in this life and it made me feel like I was lost in life and everything I've done and every seconds I've lived was none other than fake and without self discovery and socialisation to know how the world really worked.
My mind was a baggage of confusion and it forced me to regard myself unfit for this world I was delving into. I had no experience of power and everything that surrounded it. I had a lot to learn and a lot to know and I hoped Sebastian would get better quickly. I didn't want to live my life this way in fear of learning about myself. I want to know my strengths and how to defend myself. I can't always wait for him to help me every single time. I was in love with him and I didn't want anything to happen to him. Ever since I've stepped into his life I've seen how his life has been full of ups and downs. Though wealthy and powerful he didn't have peace, nothing gave him peace. Everybody really had different problems in life and this was more complicated than the one I ran away from.
I stood there immersed in my thoughts when Fiona rushed in without knocking, "what's wrong I heard you've been looking for me?" She asked anxiously, but quietly as she saw that Sebastian was fast asleep.
"Oh that. Sebastian passed out and I really needed help. I looked for you everywhere but I couldn't find you. So I asked someone else for help." I replied to her question.
" Oh I'm sorry I was out on the King's orders. What's wrong with him, is he fine now?" Fiona asked.
"Well… I don't know if he's fine now or not but he's fast asleep now. We just have to wait for him to wake up to find that out." I said .
"And whose help did you seek? If I may ask." Fiona asked with a curious gaze.
"A…" I wanted to tell her when I remembered how she acted the first time I met Alexander. Maybe it would be a better option to not talk about it. So I changed what I wanted to say "I don't really think it's necessary now is it? All we should hope for now is for him to be hale and hearty when he wakes up." I said changing her question.
"Yea…" she said with her look signifying her dissatisfaction with my words. It was really obvious but I didn't care I did what I did out of desperation and anybody could say what they want for all I care but what I know is I wanted the person I cherished be okay, and I would ask help from the devil himself if he was the one that offered it so I don't care if she finds out later or not but everything that happened will remain shrouded in secrecy until someone blurts it out or until when needed but I really hoped nothing will happen to him and that the medicine given to him will finds its own spot in his system and make him become whole again.
Fiona stood there with me as we heard Sebastian cough from his sleep. "What's wrong?" I asked as I moved towards where he was lying. "Water water please get me water my throat is burning water." He continued shouting while Fiona looked around the room for water but there was none in the room and she quickly ran out of the room to get water. But he was comfortable and he was shouting profusely " please get me water. My throat is burning, please get me some water." He was shouting, and I was really scared by what exactly was wrong. Why was he shouting this profusely?
