CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

We moved out of the room and we could see what was happening from the entrance of the room. "Will you please stay? Let me attend to this." Sebastian said in an attempt to keep me out of everything that was happening. But I wasn't willing to stay in my room. I wanted to witness firsthand what was happening. At least it would clear my mind. "Talk of the devil and she's here." I said as I saw it was Ayesha that was calling out to Sebastian.

We moved downstairs together but this time I stood from her view as Sebastian approached her.

"Why are you here?" He asked.

"You're asking me why I'm here? For real? Okay, I'll tell you I'm here to stay in my betrothed house." Ayesha said, in a very strange tone.

"Why are you such a nuisance? Tell me what you're looking for. I don't want you anywhere around me anymore. I'm done with you and your stupid and crazy ways." Sebastian said with anger engulfing him and encompassed in his voice.

"Oh now you want to get rid of me? After how many years? You can't, I'd rather get her killed again." She said leaving everyone scared and in disbelief.

"Again??" What does she mean by again, was I dead in the first place. Her words struck a chord within me as I struggled to relate to it.

"You have two choices, it's either you get married to me now or you lose her forever this time." She said, with fiery eyes.

"If you lay a finger on her I'll make sure to tear off your head and hang it outside the palace. Don't try me, you know how scary I could be." He stood there with anger showing in his face and he really seemed to mean everything he said. "I'm not joking, I'll kill you and everyone around you if you lay a finger on her. I'll make sure to massacre all your friends and throw them in a pit." He said.

I was really scared from the weight of his words, my heartbeat went faster. Was he really capable of doing all these, or was he bluffing so she would keep her claws off me. I really loved how he stood up for me but even if he could, that would be Sebastian's side I never want to see no matter how bad things were.

" Oh so you're forsaking me because of that worthless rag." Ayesha said.

"Even if she is worthless she's still better than you. I'm done putting up with your rubbish, do what you can, but please don't show up in front of me anymore, I don't want to see you anywhere near me or Fiona, even your scent should not be close, else you'll regret ever knowing Sebastian. Now get out and never come back." He said while he dragged her out the door.

"The next time she shows up in front of me, I'm going to deal with all of you." He said to the guards at the door.

They really looked pretty frightened, as if they knew what he was capable of. Somehow it looked cute the way he stood up for me and dragged her out of his life but on the other hand his look was frightening and it seemed he meant everything he said not only meant it seems he had done it before. For some reason his aura changed and I could sense him giving off a dangerous vibe that left everyone scared of the king.

He came to me and took my hand and dragged me with me up the stairs. I was scared at first but I calmed down a bit after we almost got upstairs, he was scared too, I could see it in his eyes. He was scared of everything that was happening in his life, he was vulnerable. I smiled as we entered the room and he locked it. I wanted him to be happy, so I gave him a hug. "Thank you." I said looking into his eyes. He looked comforted as he drew me closer into the hug and held me tightly as if he was never going to let go of me.

We stood for about three minutes immersed in the hug. Time stood still but our heart didn't stop beating. It was really a magical hug, it took away every notion of fear in my mind.

I wanted to be here forever. I wanted to enjoy this warmth and peace without interruption. I never wanted to leave his embrace. It was all I ever wanted and it made me feel loved more than words. It was as if it was all I ever craved for.

I looked up into his eyes and it was closed. I felt he was enjoying the hug but then I noticed that any part of his body barely moved. Was he unconscious? His heart was beating but it was faint. I was scared of what was happening. I slowly unhooked his hands and moved towards the bed. He has weight so I couldn't carry him nor drag him so I allowed the pull on myself. I made him fall on me on the bed as I turned him around. "Sebastian! Sebastian!! Sebastian!!!" I shouted as I tapped him continuously. I was really scared of what was wrong, I needed to get help but who do I call? I had no one around me and I was really scared. Tears had already started streaming down my cheeks and I didn't understand why he would suddenly go unconscious. I ran outside the room and down the stairs I looked around for Fiona but she was nowhere to be found. "Where is Fiona?" I asked one of the guards. "I don't know ma'am I haven't seen her in a while ma." What was going to happen? Was this how he was going to leave me? Who else can I call for help? I was running a helter skelter around the palace but nobody wanted to go with me. I wondered why but I really needed to find someone who would help me. I was crying profusely at the thought of me not finding help and it leads to the end of the Lycan king.
