Preparatives

Helena:

Today was another tiring day,yesterday was a shopping day with Matew,today was a day to go out with Zélia,she was going to help me pick out things for the wedding.

"I don't want to go without you" - I speak pouting at her.

"I also wanted to be near you my love,but I need to settle some important matters."

He passes his hand loosely across my face,hair and then belly,he had a happy smile and I kind of liked to see him like that. His cell phone beeps,he then looks at it and sighs heavily.

"What happened?"

"Abraham...this obsession of his has been unbearable,I really want to be calm with him,but every subject we have is about you and he always says terrible things."

"Be calm,for me"-I smile and stroke the back of his hand.

"I try,but I can't take this boy anymore."

"You know what the solution might be? You take him out.

"And make me more angry?

"Think,if it's jealousy or excessive caring,you guys going out to have fun or do something he's always wanted,you'll keep him busy and you'll be able to talk more calmly,it might work."

"I will think about it."

"Think about it fondly please."

"Fine,your request is an order,but now I have to go,before he sends me ten more messages."

He laughs more lightly,kisses the top of my head and then my mouth,then goes to get his briefcase and goes towards the door,in minutes I hear the sound of the car. I take my coffee slowly and then go to get ready,in a few hours Zélia would come to pick me up,as I didn't want to make her wait,I'm already getting ready slowly.

I take a bath in the big bathtub and stare at the window,it was open and at that time,the birds came and sang very close to the bathroom window,I loved to hear them and liked to talk to my baby to the wonderful sound of the birds. I finish my shower,dry myself slowly,then I pass a body moisturizer,leave the bathroom and go to the closet,get and wear a nice lingerie and also comfortable,then put a loose dress,put a gloss on the lips,more to moisturize them,pass a little blush on the cheeks,so they were more ruddy and with a health aspect,finally I do a bun in the hair,fix some strands leaving them out of the bun and was ready.

I was about to leave and forget the perfume,but then I came back,put the perfume and then left the large room,went to the living room messing on the phone while waiting for my date today.

After almost 30 minutes Zélia arrives,honks her horn,then I leave the house with my belongings and get into her car,then she again passes the security guards and workers of the mansion and so drives to the place we would go.

"Where are we going?"

"To take the measurements and choose the model of your dress,if there is time left we will taste the drinks."

"I can't drink alcoholic beverages, remember?"

"True, we'll have to wait for Matew to complete this step. Then we can see and choose the flowers, the arrangements, the models and everything else, that is, the church decoration. I think we can do that today."

"Okay."

She drives for a long time and I was restless,shaking my hands,looking at my watch every minute,as much as I was happy and excited,I was also scared,rumors about me and Matew already started to get out in the magazines,since we were already living together for almost two weeks.

"Just saying the problem"- She says without looking at me,the same was focused on the track.

"I wanted an honest opinion."

"Are you in doubt about getting married?"

"Yes and no,I like and am very grateful to Matew,but I've been distressed about marriage,afraid of making him suffer or suffering,not being able to take the criticism nor the constant harassment from his son."

"From the opposition scenario you are in,I would say call off the wedding,it is not good for you to stress,you are pregnant,it is bad for the baby,however I also see that you are happy and my friend is even happier,he is so radiant,after the betrayal and the death of his wife,Matew was not the same,he lost his joy,peace,tranquility and now he has found that again in and with you. I know you don't love each other in that fiery way,but you love each other very much,both of you with liking attached to something,you are gratitude and he is protection,he feels the desire to protect you,to care for you,I really want you to be happy and if you have to go through any bad thing,it is so worth it,my friend is happier than ever,I only saw that smile when he met the deceased and then,that beautiful,joyful smile was lost."

"Did he really love her?"

"He did,he was an ass for what he did,but he loved her very much."

"It's okay,we deserve to be happy,we need to."

I speak out loud,but she listening just shakes her head agreeing with me.

After a while,we get to a very chick and beautiful studio,we enter the place and Zélia was looking for someone with her eyes,until she finds a woman with blood red hair,she was showing a girl a ready made model,explaining everything about it and the woman seemed fascinated.

"Hello,good morning,do you need help?" - Questioned an attendant.

"Hello,good morning!" - We speak together.

"No,thank you,we are waiting for Francy."

"Okay,I'll let her know you guys are here."

"Okay,thank you.

She leaves and as soon as she gets near the woman,she says something in her ear and she looks at us and then at the girl who went there,says a few things and then the girl comes back to us.

"She said she will see them soon,do you want anything,a coffee,juice,water?".

"We'll take a juice."

"Follow me."

She walks off and we follow her into a private little room,on the wall were several drawings of dresses,some miniature models,an espresso machine on a table,milk cookies in a tightly sealed glass jar.

"Have a seat."

We sit down, then she puts the cookie jar on the coffee table, which is right next to the cozy armchairs, then makes an espresso for both of us and then leaves. After a few minutes of eating the girl with the blood colored hair appears,she had a beautiful smile on her lips and a similar smile forms on Zélia's lips.

"Dear Francy,how are you?" - She stands up and hugs the woman.

And looking closely,she was young and quite beautiful,elegant and with a lot of poise of someone from the elite high society.

"I'm great mom and you?"

I look startled and in my mouth forms an "O" ,they are mother and daughter!!!.

"Well,you've been missing,if not I won't see you anymore."

"I'm sorry, I've been very busy, this past month has been the month with the most orders for me, I need to expand the atelier, hire more employees, it's all been a mad rush, my faithful helper has always been by my side, helping me, but I can't handle everything by myself, not even just the two of us."

"I understand, dear, it hasn't been easy for me either, as always."

"I don't know why so many people want to get married."

"I don't either, but let's get down to business, this is Helena, she is Matew's fiancée and he asked me to help her with her choices."

"Is he getting married again? I swore he would never connect with anyone again.

"Also, but he is very happy after making that decision."

"I'm happy for him. Well, do you want to see the dresses, Helena, or do you want to see the models?"

"I want to see the models.

So she takes a notebook out of a drawer,hands it to me and I go through the models while she talks to her mother. I leaf through almost the whole book and almost nothing I liked,they were too flashy and with endless details,I wanted something simple,that was more like me and that I felt more comfortable.

Until I hit my eyes on a simple dress,it had a slight marking on the waist,it seemed to be light cloth,it wasn't round,it had a neckline that wasn't too big and the sleeves weren't thick,but not too thin either,the fabric was like tulle and it was a dropped sleeve,it had some sparkles,but you could hardly see them.

"I like that one!" - I speak enthusiastically.

"Good choice,that one has never been produced,women like round dresses more,with lots of sparkle,some like tight dresses that mark the body a lot."

"Can you make it in time for the wedding?

"Do you have a date?"

"Two weeks."

"I can do my best,but to make it safer for you,I advise you to add at least two more weeks,just so there are no mistakes."

"All right, I can check with Matew."

"Great! Now let's take the measurements."

We then went to her workplace,she took my measurements slowly,then showed me the fabrics she had,to see if I liked them,since the dress was different from the ones she made,so I chose a soft fabric that was good to hold,she separated a strip of the fabric,the tulle and wrote down the stones she wanted to put on the dress.

After everything was done,Zélia and I went to lunch and then to choose the ornamentation and flowers.At the end of the day I got home very tired,but satisfied with the choices.
