Chapter 39

“Who is the killer??” Jimmy snarled as he stared at his father.

And right now, his wolf snarled angrily. Jimmy had gotten his wolf 2 days ago when he was seething and in rage, he ran into the woods, and then he heard a still voice, “I am your wolf, Woods!!” The pace at which he ran heightened, and he broke down as he couldn’t breathe well again.

“If you want to know who your mother’s killer is, then I think you have to walk inside the car peacefully and when we get home, we will sit, and I will answer your every question.” Ryan mumbled as he opened the back door of the car.

Jimmy had hugged Jefferson as tears streamed down his eyes. “I will definitely come back for you, uncle!!” He said in a low tone before pecking him on his cheek.

Jeff had called out to one of the maids as she brought out his luggage, and one of the guards had taken over from there as he piled them up in the car boot.

Jimmy had entered the car as Ryan shook Jeff for the last time before entering the car. As the car zoomed off, they both waved at Jeff, whose eyes were now teary as he waved as well.

It was a 2 hour’ drive, and finally, they arrived at their destination and Jimmy was surprised at the simplicity of the house. “I guess it is a family thing.” He scoffed as he walked behind his father.

“Welcome home, Jimmy!!” Ryan muffled as he led the way. “Everything might appear strange for now, but with time, everything will be fine here!!” He said as he ushered him inside the apartment.

***

It was late in the evening and the serenity had a glittering display of gold, a dazzling display of leaves which had all turned to crimson. The streets were filled with so much noise and celebration. He stood calm, unresolved, as his veins sprouted out. He was contemplating whether to walk in and unleash his anger upon everyone but then, on a second thought, he had a better plan lingering around his mind.

“Come on, Freya!! You can’t be joking around always.” He heard a feminine voice call out, and he turned around to look at them. He stared at them as they walked into the villa.

It was a freezing night and the rustling trees made whispering sounds as the breeze hovered around, making a whooshing sound. Jimmy gaped at the massive building which still had lights, piercing through some curtains on the top floors. He saw people meandering around the building floor which still had light in them and his fist wrapped firmly in hate.

“You think she won’t invite me over?? That is one of the most pathetic things you have said so far!!”

“You know how Freya could be sometimes. You shouldn’t have thrown her into the swimming pool.”

“We are all from the royals, and we will all attend with or without the invitation card!!”

Jimmy kept staring at the two men who were chit-chatting. He could hear them clearly, and he walked behind them as he was eavesdropping on their chat.

“Just less than 24 hours left for you to lose Freya. You have to go by your destined mate, Williams, and I am still fully against whatever you wish to do with that witch!!” Jason scoffed as Williams sighed in annoyance.

“Why are you so interested in my union with Cherry?? I can never choose her, just no matter what, Jason! I rather be mated to Freya.” He scoffed as they both walked inside the villa as well.

Jimmy paused as he saw the two men walk inside the villa and at this point, he turned around as he entered the car, driving back to his residence.

His emotionless gaze at the building soon became enraging as he flinched his right palm really tight, causing him to press against the bag he was holding.

Years ago, he had escaped death narrowly in the hands of his uncle who had sneaked narrowly behind the back door, and he was taken to the werewolf society where he grew up.

“What is happening in the next 24 hours??” He shrugged as he sat beside Ryan, who was seated on the balcony of his room.

“Within the next 24 hours, Sienna’s daughter Freya would clock 18 years, and it is at this point where she gets to meet her destined mate. Every vampire, just like the werewolves, holds high regards for this day when you finally get to meet your destined mate.” Ryan mumbled as he brushed his hair backwards with his right fingers.

“And how about your invitation card??” He asked his father, who turned around to look at him.

“Don’t tell me you plan to attack Allen during the celebration.” Ryan snapped as he stared at Jimmy.

There was a lot he couldn’t just figure out and just like now, looking at Jimmy’s eyes answered no question as his eyes held no emotions.

“I hope things turns out well. I would love to make new friends here, and I know the right friends to make here.” He snapped as he looked at his father. “I will be attending the birthday party with your card. You can send out words to the Ellsworth family that your son would be representing you.” He shrugged as he looked at his father.

Ryan couldn’t turn down his request, as he was currently trying his best to win Jimmy over completely.

Jimmy smiled as his father handed over the invitation card to him, which was inside his cabinet.

Ryan reciprocated the smile in an uneven way, as he couldn’t really say what Jimmy was planning on.

“Hey!” A rough, manly voice shouted from the dark.
