Chapter 38
“Alpha, Luna. Sienna wishes to see you.” Andrew muffled as he bowed his head in respect.
“Why would she want to see me??” He scoffed as he continued with his morning exercise.
Hudson Smith was a blonde, tall and muscular alpha who ruled the Night howlers pack. He was a devil in human form and his white eyes scared off people as it was rumored that he was born blind yet, he could see.
The day of his birth brought the end of his pack’s suffering and oppression by powerful packs, as their alphas either died or made a peace treaty. He was said to be a child who had come with so much fortune but then, his mother had lost her womb. After his birth, she couldn't give birth again and, slowly, she died when he was just four years of age.
He sat up on the bench as he picked up his towel to dry his body, which was already sweaty. He turned around as he stared at Andrew, who was still standing there like a stature. Two unlike personalities that became an alpha and a beta.
Hudson got up as he lifted the dumbbell for the last time. “Do you have any idea why she seeks to meet me??” He grunts as he dried his body with his towel again.
“I think it must be critical before she seeks to see you.” Andrew whispered as he walked closer to Hudson. “Maybe, something that concerns you deeply!!” He said in a low tone.
“Tell the maids to welcome our guest properly, and I will be with her shortly.” He frowned as he walked away to his chambers.
"He will be with you shortly.” Andrew muttered as he had the maid serve her a simple breakfast. “This is a sign that he accepts your visits, and it will be you doing the honor by dining with him.” He said in a low tone with a broad smile on his face as he ushered her to the dining table, which was just a few steps away from the sitting room.
“Thank you.” She muffled as she sat down, facing the master’s chair directly.
She sat down having just a red wine opened before her, but the rest of the meal was still covered as the maids stood by the table side, waiting for Hudson to come first.
Furthermore, she stared around unnoticeably as she was awed by the beautiful artworks that hung all over his house. She was elegantly dressed because she knew the taste of Hudson. Her red lipstick fitted her red, glittering gown that stopped right beneath her knees, and it hugged her body so well and was a sleeveless gown.
She wore a flowery small coat that stopped right above her waist. She was well-endowed and today, she was going to use it against him to get what she wanted.
He walked in and the moment the maids saw him walk in, they all bowed their head in respect. His face held no emotion, and he walked directly to his seat as one of the maids brought the chair out for him to sit down.
“Greetings Alpha Hudson.” Sienna stood up on her feet as she greeted him, bowing her head too in respect.
The maids opened the tray of dishes, and before they could serve the dishes, Hudson had ordered them out as he stood up to do the dishes.
“What brings you to my abode?” He said in a low voice tone as he walked down to where she was seated with the food in his hands.
Sienna cleared her throat as she looked at him for the last time. She looked away as she fixed her eyes on the portrait of his deceased father. He was curious enough to find out what exactly she was staring at. She was playing her cards well and when he was now focused on his father’s picture, she smiled before sipping her red wine.
“It’s painful how we both have a common enemy today.” She mumbled as she stood up on her feet.
“Common enemy?” He chuckled as he turned around to look at her. “How could I have forgotten that you are a widow?” He smirked as he dropped the plate back on the table.
His words were like a sting from a bee, but she couldn’t just back down. She needed to win. She couldn’t let Edith roam freely after making her a widow.
She smiled as she looked at him, and she rested her right fingers on his shoulder. “And you lost a father to the man who made him a widow. You lived all your life running away from Edith. This is the time, Hudson. I won’t let him go away without paying, and I have just a perfect idea that could break him down completely.” She muttered as she came to his front.
She could see his anger lurking in his eyes, and she knew she was definitely going to win him over. She just needed to keep pushing.
“Your father was a powerful hybrid and today, you rule the most erudite pack. And ever since the death of my husband, Henry, I have taken up the heavy task to completing his unfinished work. And if we can come together, we can defeat Edith and you know what that means, Hudson.” She whispered into his ears as she held his right fingers.
He pulled off as he returned to his seat. “Let’s eat.” He shrugged as he scooped the first spoon inside his mouth.
Sienna said nothing more as she ate her food. She knew she had pulled the strings, and undoubtedly he was going to be on her side.
She could hear the indistinct screaming that came from his training ground and the gunshots as well. His packs weren’t the skilled martial artists but they were highly trained mercenaries, young boys and men who received military training.
“Tell me, what’s your plan?” He finally broke the silence as he furrowed his eyebrows.
