Chapter 108

Gabriel's POV

I sped through the forest hastily, taking every shortcut to get out of the pack so noone won't catch up with me.

I failed again!

I paused on my track when I heard the howling of wolves. I sniffed through the air to check if it was rogues or Ryan's me. It appeared to be Ryan's men from the decent, I shifted back in my human form moving around in my wolf form would be too dangerous and they would catch up with me since my wolf was big and they will be able to spot me easily.

I moved carefully and hid at the back of the tree when I spotted two brown wolves, one was bigger than the other. I looked around carefully to see if they were just the only two for now.

I slowly brought out the silver pocket knife I had kept with me, I glanced around calculating the velocity that would take me to slit the two wolves' throats before they could make a sound.

Without thinking much, I sped like the speed of light caught them unaware before slitting their throat. They shifted back into their human form both clunging at their throat to stop the flow of blood.

"Gabriel is at the-" I stabbed one of the men's throat when he was about to rat me out.

I slowly walked and created using the woods as a shield. My beat loudly in my ears as I found myself panicking the fear that Noone was going to catch up with me soon got to me.

I was lucky enough to leave the place where Ryan's men were now flooding in. I paused in my track when I perceived the aura, my hands flung to my throat as the air became too thick for me to breathe in.

"Gabriel." Noone appeared in front of me and I fell to my knees.

"I…did…my…best." My eyes bulged almost removing out of it's socket when the nerves in my brain ached.

"You had one final mission, a task to do but you failed woofilly." He walked around me in circles.

"She…is.. powerful, I almost marked her but all of a sudden she changed." My legs trembled as I remembered the previous events.

I didn't expect Natasha to change like that, one second she was trying to kill herself, the next second she lifted me single handedly and her eyes were scary.

I thought everything will change when I mark her but everything came crashing down. All my plans were futile. It was a very sad truth that I had no option other than to accept.

This is the end for me.

"I…know.. I messed up but look at where you and I have been coming from, what you've been through sir!!" I pleaded for my life.

I lifted my head to see him, I bowed my head again when his red orbs met mine eyes. He bent down and tapped my shoulder.

"You have fulfilled your cause and for that I won't kill you."

"You won't?" I lifted my head.

"Someone else will." He stood up.

Before I could ask who I felt silver burned through my skin. It was my own sword one I laced with wolfsbane.

"You!!"

Irene's POV

I drugged the sword further into his stomach, he gritted his teeth in anger. He held onto the blade trying to keep it in so he wouldn't lose blood but I pulled it out, he grunted his back fell on the floor his hands on his stomach as he tried to stop the blow from flowing out.

"You…wench." He whispered, his pupil dilating as he coughed out blood.

"You must be wondering how I got your sword." My hands trailed the blood on the blade.

"Well you have a bad habit of hiding your stuff under huge stones when you go for a run." I giggled evilly.

"You.. will.. pay." He tried to hold me and I cut off his arm before he could.

He growled and whined in pain and I laughed not feeling an ounce of pity for him. I lifted the sword and stabbed him in the thigh before pulling it out, I wasn't yet satisfied with his suffering.

"So who was the man you were talking to?" I leaned forward and whispered.

"He…um.. is a bad partner for you." I chuckled and continued. "He saw me the moment I stepped in with a sword, he was about to kill you but he gave me the opportunity to." I slowly clapped.

"Now you will answer my questions or I will whisper for the vulture to come eat you alive!" I yelled at him.

"Why on earth did you make me suffer!"

"Answer the damn question Alpha Gabriel!" I stabbed him on his manhood and he cried out loudly.

I pulled the sword out and bursted into tears as I watched life dripped out of him slowly. I thought I would feel different be comforted if I kill him with my own hands but the wound, the pain he had afflicted on me was still there and will forever be there.

Soon his heartbeat stopped beating, his eyes opened and he had given up the ghost. My eyes darted to the sound of the rustling of leaves.

"Irene!" The sword fell from my hands, when I saw Alpha Ryan.

He took some careful steps forward when he got to where I was he dragged me gently from Gabriel's body. His men came forward to attack but he stopped them.

"Drag him away, cut off his head from his body." Alpha Ryan ordered his men as they dragged Gabriel's dead body.

"Natasha…did.. you find her?"

"Yes, why? Why did you kill him?" Alpha asked.

"I…I…had.. to.. it.. was the only way I would be able to live with myself."
