Chapter 84: Darkness
Chapter 84: Darkness
The moment Tyson said those words out loud, there was a silence for a few minutes making Elders think about his request.
One of the Elders stood up from his seat as he said, “Tyson is right! It is better to prevent the disaster if we deal with the matter right here and now. The Law should stay.”
A few members followed him as they cheered approving the Elder's words, while others looked over at them and Tyson, finally having their eyes set down on us.
One of those members stood up and looked over at the members who were more than ready to fight with us now, and said, "We messed with something that we shouldn't have. None of us is a God nor a Goddess to have the right to mess with higher things that as Olivia said we are gifted with. You all saw and heard the words of our Moon Goddess and it shocks me to see that even after hearing her you all still wish to defy her warnings and her wishes and keep this Law." He said, looking all around the room at everyone, "I will not participate in fighting the Moon warriors or their friends, but if I am to fight then I am on their side and will fight with them as well as my warriors will follow after me.”
A smile showed on my face, hearing the Elders words as he started to walk away from his seat and to stand next to me.
Other members that were silent, stood up and followed his lead, standing next to Marcus and Azrael as they said, “We will stand with them, and fight you all if that is what is needed to be done.”
The elder that was next to me, looked at me and said, "I am sorry that we forced you and your mate to go through the things that you have. It was wrong of us and I am well aware that my apology cannot take back the time and your misery but for what it's worth, I am glad that you manage to get away that day and to see you both standing here stronger than ever and together."
The older man spoke softly to me, making my heart swell from his gentle words, "Thank you." I said to him making him give me a small, gentle smile as he walked towards the other Elders that stood next to my mate and Azrael.
I turned around from the court and started to walk towards Marcus, when Tyson roared loudly and ordered, “Now!”
Startled as the sound of glass breaking and doors opening with a bang sounded through the room.
Warriors, armed entered inside, making the room go into chaos when the fighting started.
Marcus, Azrael, Logan, Tanner, and Trent fought alongside Elder members against the warriors I didn't know and other Elders who wanted to keep the Law.
The White Moon’s warriors came to our rescue, and could barely make a step as they were all fighting merciful.
“Olivia!”
I heard Marcus call me, looking around, trying to find him in all this crowd of shifters, fighting, pushing at each other, making it hard to spot him at first.
I finally managed to see him, fighting against four warriors while Azrael fought a little further away with other warriors.
I started to walk fast as I could, trying to break through the bodies when one of the unknown warriors attacked me.
I could see him about to throw a punch my way which I successfully dodged away, as thankfully I reacted on instinct, remembering all the hard training I had since I was little, and swaying my fist as hard as I could, successfully kicking him in his chin, taking him by a surprise and before he could regain his senses, I kick him hard with my leg, throwing him down on the ground.
He growled angrily as he stood fast up, taking a step towards me but he was stopped the moment he got closer to me as a White Moon's warrior, pushed him away from me, and attacked him.
The two fought hard, making the other warrior weak compared to the Moon’s warrior.
Not wanting to stand and waste time watching others fight, I looked around towards the area I saw Marcus was and could see him fighting with new guards and warriors.
I started to rush ahead towards him but was slowed down as a body would collide with me, making the two of us fall down.
Annoyed with being stopped in my attempts to get to my mate, I started to fight my way towards him, managing to kick at anyone who got in my way.
The White Moon’s warriors were clearing my way, as they came to my aid, fighting and successfully stopping the attackers from fighting me.
Loud roars came from the outside, making me look through the broken windows to see two large dragons spitting fire as they were trying to keep the guards that were trying to get inside the castle, to enter inside.
Damon and Zen were circling around, low, as their growls were shattering the walls of the castle.
I could see the fire they made, circle around the castle while the guards tried to find a way to pass through. Some even shifted into their beasts, but Damon and Zen would grab or toss away, each one that would successfully jump over the fire line that kept on burning.
I tore my eyes away from the windows and continued with my attempt to reach my mate, when two strong arms grabbed onto my waist, making me turn around and see Tyson pulling me closer to him.
Not wanting to be near him, I started to toss and wiggle in his grasp, but his hold was too firm like two iron hands, holding me in place, when I heard his voice in my ear, "Now…now, princess. You are coming with me."
Fear passed through me, but I didn’t let it overtake me as I started to throw my fists hitting at him anywhere I could as hard as I could, but he didn’t budge.
“Let me go!” I demanded, looking at him with anger.
How could he do this? I trusted him! He was my friend.
I couldn’t believe that this person I grew up with, and even once I hoped that he would be more to me, was this vicious, evil, and twisted.
I couldn’t believe he would betray my trust and turn out this way.
He growled annoyed as he tossed me over his shoulder and started to walk through the crowd.
Trying to get free, hitting him at the same time, I finally realized it was to no avail. I couldn’t get out of his grip.
“Tyson, please stop this. This is wrong.” I tried to reason with him but he didn’t listen.
“You are mine! And what wrong that asshole did, don’t worry princess, I will make it right.” He said darkly making a chill run down my spine.
“I am not yours! Marcus is my mate, not you! Let me go!” I screamed out but he didn’t stop.
Looking around trying to see if I could grab anything to hit him with I couldn’t find anything useful.
My eyes searched for Marcus and finally seeing him I screamed out, loud as I could, calling over the crowd, his name, “Marcus!!!”
His head snapped up from a fight, eyes searching for me, finally connecting with mine and I could see them darken when he noticed what was happening.
“Olivia!!” Marcus roared my name, fighting off anyone that was in his way.
Tossing their bodies aside like they were a piece of paper as he rushed towards me but stopped as two or three warriors and guards would reappear to fight him.
“Olivia!!!” I saw him call after me as he tried to hurry up and fight his way to get to me.
The sound of a door opening made me look to see that we were entering into a secret passage and before the passage door closed, I shouted, “Marcus hurry!!!”
The passage blocks my sight to see my mate, as a moment of darkness overtook my sight.
Tyson lighted a fire as he kept a hold on me, carrying me further inside, passing through the labyrinth of corridors as he knew where to go.
A loud crash was heard followed by loud growls, and I knew as I sensed my mate, my Marcus entered the passage, searching for me.
Another sound of a door opening sounded and I could feel the breeze prickling at my skin when a tall man I saw once stood in front of me smiling as he said, “We meet again.”
My eyes widened when I recognized him, wondering what he is doing here, and what is going on, where we are going.
So many questions were playing in my head as Tyson growled at him and placed me down on the ground, pressing my back into his chest as his iron grip held my arms, he said to him, “Do it fast. He is coming we do not have much time.”
My heart started to race in my chest, as I tossed in Tysons grip, trying to get free, I tried once more to call Marcus, hoping if I call him he will find me easier and faster, “Marcus!!!”
His growls came through the walls of the secret passage, but at that moment, the man walked closer as his palm raised up, he started to mumble something I couldn’t understand as his last word came louder, like an order, saying, “Somnum!” (Sleep!)
The moment after, my eyes felt heavy, the feeling like the energy was instantly drained out of me, I couldn't hold my eyes open, no matter how hard I tried to fight to keep them open, the darkness won, as it wrapped around me tightly and everything I could hear and see was gone.
