Chapter 25

Jake's POV

I was shocked she actually agreed to the date. She has no idea how long I've waited to properly get to know her. To treat her exactly the way I should have treated her 10 years ago. She didn't deserve anything that happened and I'm going to help her be happy and move on.

I was actually happy that Jennifer was gifted, I actually did care. Some wolfs would resent any child their mate had with anyone else. But honestly, I don't think I could hate her. She was so sweet and she was the perfect mix. She was gorgeous and smart like her mother but also mature and calm like her father. Plus, my wolf wouldn't let me hate her, anything that's a part of Bryn I couldn't hate.

I had an idea what we could do and I had a feeling she'd love it. Bryn's never been one for romance, but she did like the little things. The things that are special to her and no one else. So, no roses, or chocolate, or picnics, nothing cliché will work. It needs to be sweet, simple, and not typical, like movies, dinner, or miniature golf.

I placed my finger under her chin lifting her head up so I could look into her eyes.

"How about tonight at 7 I'll come pick you up, and I'll take you out"

I suggested and she nodded with a smirk.

"You're going to pick me up? Gosh what an expensive petrol bill that'll be"

She said with a grin and I chuckled highly amused by her comment.

"Well I think I can bare it, your worth it after all"

I told her honestly, my joking tone gone. She smiled happily up at me, her cheeks blushing a bright red. I find it funny how everyone says people blush bright red, when it's more of a pinkie colour.

"Well then see you at 7?"

She asked to confirm and I nodded. She waved me goodbye before slipping out of my grasp and leaving my office. With a smile I slumped down into my office chair. I spun around a few times, trying to think of where I could take her. I thought of asking one of the boys for advice and Nick knows her best. But would that be awkward asking him where I should take his ex on a date? Na I don't think it will, he's happily mated with a family. I'm almost certain he'd encourage the idea of a date.

Deciding to go for it, I lean back into my chair and unblock my link.

Nick? I call out hoping he had his wall down so we'd hear my message. Technically as Alpha I could break down his wall, but he's my friend not just my pack warrior.

Hey Jake, what's up man? He replies back and I laugh to myself. He's 28 years old and he acts like he's a teenager still.

I need some advice I admit and I could physically imagine him socked beyond belief.

Wow this must be a once in a time opportunity, how may I help? He asks with an arrogant tone.

I'm taking Bryn out tonight and I don't know where to take her I asked actually feeling embarrassed. I felt ashamed I had to ask someone else advice about my mate.

I heard there was one of those drive in silent comedy shows in town tonight He said and I nodded in acknowledgement.

That's the silent movie where you watch it in your car right? I ask and he hums in agreement. His idea was one worth giving a thought, it was technically a movie but it was an older style one.

That's not a bad idea, thanks Nick I admitted.

No problem tell me how it goes He says before he blocks me out of his mind.

I reached for the laptop which was positioned on my desk and opened the lid. After logging into the computer, I searched up the movie on google chrome. I bought us two tickets online in case they sold out before we got there. But seriously in this century not many kids would want to buy tickets to this film. Only the oldies looking for some old technology they understand will show up.

I skipped out of my office and down into the kitchen. Some of the older women in the pack were working away in the kitchen. I walked over to Rachael and tapped her on her shoulder. She turned to face me and smiled sweetly at me.

"Alpha Jake, its lovely to see you again my dear, may I help you?"

She asks and I smile, yes Rachael yes you can.

"You can actually, would you mind making me some packaged food? I'm planning to take Bryn out on a date tonight"

I asked her and she gasped and grinned brightly.

"Of course, I'll help you darling, anything for you"

She said cheerfully pinching my cheeks before she opened up the fridge and started pulling out ingredients.

"Thanks Rachael I owe you one"

I told her and she chuckled watching me leave the room. I went up to my room and had a shower. I got changed into some nice casual clothes for the date. I even sprayed on some cologne; I may sound like some teenage boy but I really want to impress Bryn. I want her to fall in love with me, the same way I love her.

I want to make her officially my own and make her my pack's Luna. Rumours are that the Charlie and Lucas are even betting on when we'll officially get together. I hope Bryn doesn’t mind; she'd probably be pissed off at them.

With one quick comb through my hair and a few blobs of hair gel her and their and too daa I was ready....
