He cleared his throat first before he spoke with a serious expression. “He is welcome here, Daff, as long as he will not create any trouble that will affect our wedding.”
Daffodil smiled at him and got hold of his hand on top of the coffee table. “I can assure you that Dixon is a good man and he will never do something to ruin our wedding. He is a man of good values, Lex. Please don’t worry. Besides, Dad and Mom are here, so I am sure, he will be ashamed to do something to hurt us.” She looked at him with confidence in her aura.
“With that assurance of yours, then, he is welcome to come and stay here until our wedding,” Lexus replied, smiling this time. He kissed her hand and looked at her tenderly.
They had a long conversation on the balcony before they separated ways. Lexus went to his Alpha Father’s office to inform him of the arrival of Daff’s family. Daffodil on the other hand decided to go to her room to rest for a while.
She is smiling and has been feeling so light. In just a few days and she will be the wife of Lexus. Something that made her heart flutter out of excitement.
She decided to take a shower first before she laid her body on the bed after drying her hair. She got her unfinished book and read it until her eyes slowly drifted to sleep.
Meantime, Lexus was already inside his Alpha Father’s office. Alpha Daedos was signing a few documents when he arrived. He sat on the couch inside the office and waited patiently until his Alpha father finished what he was doing. Seeing that Alpha Daedos already put down his signing pen on the table, Lexus stood up and sat on the visitor’s chair in front of his Alpha father’s executive table.
“Lexus, my son, you seemed to be having a serious expression. What is it?” It was Alpha Daedos who immediately spoke the moment he saw his son sitting already on his visitor’s chair.
Lexus shook his head and smiled at his Alpha father. “Oh, not so serious, Alpha father. I just wanted to inform you that Daff’s adoptive parents already arrive, together with one of their family friends. They are currently staying at the resort where Trixie is working.”
“That’s good news, Lexus. I am sure Daffodil was so happy about her adoptive parents' arrival here.”
“Yes, indeed, Alpha father. I would like also to seek permission Alpha father to let them stay here in the packhouse until the wedding is over, just so, we can be able to know them well too.” Lexus said in a requesting tone.
Alpha Daedos smiled and nodded. “Of course, Lexus. Soon to be they will be part of our family. Let them stay here.”
“Would it not be risky Alpha father? They are humans.”
“Not at all. We will call a meeting with the Elders to inform them of the arrival of our visitors. Don’t worry. Everything will be fine and your and Daffodil’s wedding will happen without any problem.” Alpha Daedos voice was assuring and with confidence, which made Lexus suddenly feel relaxed.
“Thank you, Alpha father.”
“Son, I will always support your every endeavor. I was deprived of that for so long, and I am just starting to be your father. I wanted you to be happy, Lexus and I know, marrying Daffodil is the best thing that will ever happen to you.” With so much sincerity, Alpha Daedos stated and smiled warmly at his son.
Lexus stood up and give his Alpha father a warm hug. “Thank you, thank you again, Alpha father.”

And so, in the afternoon, Lexus and Daffodil returned to the resort to fetch Mr. and Mrs. Marby and Dixon. Dixon was silent during their whole trip going to the packhouse of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack. It was Mr. and Mrs. Marby, who have been talking almost the whole time, appreciating the nature that they have seen all the way to the packhouse. Dixon was just observing and Lexus was focused on driving. Daffodil would talk from time to time to answer any question that any of her adoptive parents would throw at her.
When they arrived at the packhouse, Mr. and Mrs. Marby was totally in awe while Dixon could not hide the surprise in his facial expression. He tried to stay calm however pretending not to be overwhelmed by what he just saw as they entered the gate of Lexus’ home. Although, he knew based on his research that Lexus’ family is a wealthy family on the island, yet he did not expect that his family lives in a castle-like home with guards all around and some even look like soldiers. Of course, Dixon did not know anything about the fact that Lexus and his family are werewolves including Daffodil. Only Mr. And Mrs. Marby has a bit of a background about it. They did not know however that Lexus's father is the Alpha and that Lexus is soon to be the Alpha too.
“Oh, this is wonderful. I never thought that Lexus’ family lives in a palace,” Mrs. Marby exclaimed while smiling at Daffodil.” The Marby’s mansion is a large and elegant house already but compared to the packhouse of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack, it is only one-fourth thereof in the size. Aside from that, the Marby’s mansion is manned only by three guards.
Lexus and Daffodil looked at each other with suppressed smiles. Then they just smiled in response to what Mrs. Marby had just said.
Suddenly, Dixon cleared his throat and said, "May I know Lexus why you have a lot of guards here, and also I can see some soldiers. Is your place at risk of an attack from enemies?"
Lexus furrowed as he looked at Dixon. "We are nearby the mountain and forest and sometimes wild animals come to attack our place. We consider everyone inside our home not merely our guards or soldiers, but members of the family," he then replied in a casual tone.
Daffodil looked at Dixon and smiled at him. "Dixon, you might be worried that Lexus' family has enemies that might put our lives at risk; don't you worry, it is not like that. We are perfectly safe in here."
Dixon nodded but in his mind, there are questions that were starting to bother him.
