Chapter 130 The Scottish Opportunity

Chapter 130 The Scottish Opportunity
The following week, James was helping Jonathan assemble what was left for the baby's room. Elizabeth was talking animatedly with Lays in the kitchen, and Anthony was sleeping at home. He was now the manager of the Purple Night nightclub in Lays' place. He had managed to take over his mother's business well, was respectful with the women, and still counted on Noah's help.

James received a call from someone he hadn't spoken to in a long time.

"Hello..." James said as he answered.

"James Larson? Am I speaking with the American boss Larson?"

"Yes, who is this?"

"This is the English boss Leonel Blink. I'm calling to ask for a contact of yours..."

"If I can help..."

"I want the phone number of the negotiator Wolf. I want to talk about one of his sons."

"Any problem with Wolf's sons?"

"No... A friend of mine has a daughter who wants to be introduced to the oldest of the Wolf brothers. If everything goes well, we will strengthen the ties between Scotland and the United States even further."

"I'll send you the number, but I don't know if you remember, I also have a young man at home. Anthony is an excellent match."

"Your boy is 20 years old, the young lady in question is 30. The father wants someone with a bit more experience to take care of her."

"Alright, keep me informed of anything."

James sent Nathan's number to the English boss, who passed it on to the girl's father. He called Nathan and made the invitation for Dave, who would have to attend a wedding in England.

"Dave, the girl is the daughter of the Scottish boss. Do you understand what I'm saying? She is the opportunity we've talked so much about that you would one day have," Nathan said to his son.

"Dad, she is 30 years old. Thirty! If she hasn't married yet, it's because she must be horrible. I'm not going to marry a woman I can't even stand to look at. I want to at least feel like consummating this marriage."

"You're being childish! She can't be that ugly!"

"Answer me, why hasn't anyone wanted her? What's wrong with her?"

"It doesn't matter! It's your opportunity."

"I'm going to investigate this story, but for now the answer is no..."

Dave really did investigate the Scottish family and the grooms. He even found photos of Violeta Garden, the daughter of the famous businessman who would be getting married that weekend. He also got information about Danilo Hiss. The young man was one of the most sought-after bachelors in the organization, but he had an agreement since early on with the Scottish family.

"Dad, I'm not going to this wedding. I researched and I know the wedding is to seal an agreement. This Hiss guy is going to take everything in Scotland. He's even already familiar with the businesses there. There's no reason for me to go."

"Dave, Hiss is my sister's son. It's important to send someone, especially because we have an agreement with Scotland."

Dave paced back and forth in the living room and looked at the can of soda on the sink.

"You want a Wolf there? Fine! Send Adam. He'll obey you. Tell him to go represent the family at this wedding. He'll accept it!"

Adam was working in the warehouse. Dave called him over and his father explained about the wedding. He also mentioned that Adam would have to make a proposal to a young woman in the Hiss family. Adam didn't agree, but he went anyway, even though he was reluctant.

Adam left on Friday and only returned on Sunday in the early hours of the morning. He was cheerful and had a lot to tell about the trip.

Adam ended up arguing with his father and brother. They didn't like the decisions Adam made during the trip, but they had no way to interfere. He grabbed a soda and went to the living room, threw himself on the sofa, turned on a soccer game, and laughed to himself remembering the hectic weekend he had.

Adam waited for Dave to leave, then picked up his cell phone and made a call.

"Hello, missing me?" Adam said in a seductive voice.

"Geez, Adam! Don't talk to me like that! How was the trip?"

"Good, really good... Are you home? I have news to tell you."

"Yes, I am! Jonathan went to work and I'm alone."

"Okay, I'm coming over!"

Adam called the only person who truly cared about him. He left and went to see Elizabeth, who was at home while Jonathan was working.

He arrived and found his sister at the entrance. She pulled him closer to the pool to sunbathe.

"You're going to melt in that suit under this sun..." Elizabeth said.

"It will be your fault..."

"Okay, tell me! How was it in London? Are the people nice? Did you meet our cousin's family?"

"They are all extremely formal, typical English family... But our cousin Danilo is quite a guy. He is very intelligent and strange too. Can you believe he doesn't tolerate physical contact? They told me he doesn't even hug other people except his parents and his now wife, who by the way is beautiful — just a girl, but very pretty and cheerful."

"Really? That's really strange... Our father said he has a sister and that you would come back with an agreement from there."

"Our father tricked me. The girl is a child, she must be about 10 years old. I would never make a proposal to her. But I left there with a possible agreement. I met a very beautiful young woman... We danced and talked a bit. Actually, she is the bride's sister who got married yesterday. Dave was invited to meet her, but apparently he didn't want to go. I ended up going and honestly I'm grateful for that."

"Did you fall in love, my brother?"

"Don't talk nonsense... But I promised to call and talk to the girl. If I think it can work, I'll make a proposal to her."

"I already like it! What's her name?"

"The name of my Scottish Flower is Dayse."
