Chapter 23 The alphas conflict
Chapter 23: The Alpha’s Conflict
Damon’s POV
“Fuck!”
My chamber doors rattled behind me, as I angrily entered the room slamming the door behind me. But I wasn't ready for the scent that hit me immediately when I entered my room.
The heavy scent of sex and heat filled my nostrils, immediately bringing unwanted memories of the hot unforgettable night of my life.
I growled angrily, slamming my fist against the reinforced walls of my chamber.
Milo.
Or whatever he called himself. That was his name…at least his real name.
The traitor.
His face was everywhere in my dream throughout the night, refusing to leave me.
The way his beautiful face looked as he struggled to take my cock in his small pretty mouth. The way his violet eyes bulged with fear and something else…
Submission. It was like I had never seen before.
The feeling of being engulfed inside his hot hole was the most heavenly feeling I had ever encountered. At that moment, I knew I was whipped. And as if to reinforce my fears, For some reason I couldn't sleep throughout the night. My wolf continued to agitate for his release. And to satisfy him, I went to the dungeons…
“Damn!”
I cursed loudly like a pirate king, tearing off my dark cloak that was damp from the humid air of the dungeon.
I should have just killed him.
It was as easy as blowing out air. He was a nobody. A worthless weak omega male, One clean strike would have closed the deal. As anyone that tries to cross me faces nothing else but death.
But I hadn’t.
I couldn’t.
“Coward”My wolf stirred inside me again.
I rolled my eyes, sick and tired of everything. Dax was a broken wolf. And for some reason, for over 10 years now, after the incident he had never spoken or stirred inside me. But ever since he came, my wolf who I thought had gone mute awakened, and ever since then, it had all been fight and war between us.
“He lied to us. He tried to kill us.” I snarled inwardly.
“But he’s our mate” Dax growled back. “You need to start thinking like a king, and not a coward…”
“Don't you dare tell me how to think.” I retorted back, “you should be happy I have not killed him yet.”
A brokened whimper echoed in my head, followed by silence.
“Dax, dax…” I tried to reach out to him, but all I got was silent.
I took a deep breath, sinking in the bed that was filled with tangled bedsheets. I took a deep sniff. The scent of his cum was still present. Addicting and intoxicating like ever.
But I was the mafia king. Thousands of werewolves were under my turf. And it won't be heard that I was mated to a weak omega. Not just any omega but a boy at that.
There has never been any trace of a male omega before in history.
My mind flew to the time in the dungeon. It took all the strength and discipline on me not to order for his release. But that was not the problem…
Even inside the cell filled with wolfsbane, he had felt me...Almost found me if not for my quick reaction.
That should be impossible. That kind of awareness… from what they say happens between true mates. But I refused to believe the Moon Goddess could be so cruel.
A sharp knock came at the door.
“Your Majesty…” James stopped, His eyes immediately went to the deep dent on the reinforced concrete beside me. avoiding my eyes.
“Speak”
My words seemed to snap him out of his shock
“its the Council, my king. It’s urgent, and they're already gathered.”
My heart dipped.
Of course they have.
I didn’t respond, I walked past him, before stopping midway.
“Get someone to burn the bedsheets.”
“Yes my king” he bowed,
Nodding, I closed the door behind me going straight to my court room.
Council Hall
The war room buzzed with real hard tension the moment I entered. My boots marching against the hard floor echoed through the now silent hall. As I crossed the chamber, my cloak trailing behind like a black flame.
The four commanders in charge of the different war subunits in my pack were all seated. They were the highest power after me, and their strength was stronger as you count from the last units down to the first. I could tell from the predatory looks and eyes they were giving each other, that they were seconds away from biting off each other's neck.
I leaned back into my obsidian throne, my jaws clenched tightly as my eyes scanned the whole room. I could feel the pressure creep in my forehead. They kept on glancing at each other, on who will start first.
The moment I entered, I knew this wasn't going to be a walk in the pack.
General Barks, of the archery units, the fourth ranked commander stood first. His grey beard shaking with fury. “With all due respect, your highness, the matter of the…traitor can no longer be ignored. His actions amount to treason. He was caught with a vial of poison. We demand justice.”
Murmurs of approval erupted following his speech.. Some called for execution, others called for public death by hanging. Their demands getting bloodier by the second.
I let my fingers drum lazily against the black wood of the armrest. “Justice, yes, but the big question still remains ... .who orchestrated the whole plan. Lets not forget that he just came into the pack, as my pet. How could he have gotten hold of a banned vial…”
My voice lingered, the meaning passing loud and clear.
“Are you accusing us?” another commander, General Elijah growled, standing ding up slowly from his seat.
