Chapter 211
Chapter 211
Matthew's gaze was intimidating, and Elise didn't dare look up at him.
After a pause, Matthew's tone softened, "no matter where you transfer the child, I'll find him. What you're doing is pointless and will only hurt the child!"
"I just want to care about my child. Is that wrong?"
Elise was silent for a moment, then suddenly said to Haven, "could you please take Atticus away for a bit? I need to talk to Mr. Moore about something!"
When Matthew heard "Mr. Moore," his heart suddenly ached.
"Okay!" Haven quickly took Atticus's hand. "Atticus, let's go to the toy room. Your mom will come get you in a little while!"
Haven left with Atticus.
Matthew gave Chris and the bodyguards a look, and they also left the office, closing the door behind them and waiting in the car.
The office was unusually quiet.
After a long while, Elise finally said slowly, "I can compromise and let you visit Atticus, but you have to agree to one condition!"
Matthew asked, "what condition?"
Elise said, "never tell Atticus that you're his father!"
Matthew looked displeased, "he's my own son. Why can't I tell him he's my child?"
Elise finally looked up at Matthew, but her eyes were full of resentment, "do you remember what you said? You said you would make up for all the bad things you did to me in the past. Now I have a good life. Zander loves me, and I love Zander. That Amelia is dead!"
"If you really want to make it up to me, stop bothering me, including the child!"
Matthew's throat tightened. He stared deep into Elise's eyes and suddenly grabbed her wrist, "say it again—that you love Zander!"
Elise looked Matthew straight in the eye, word by word, "I love Zander, and Zander loves me."
Matthew let out a cold laugh. When Elise said she loved Zander, he couldn't feel her pulse quicken at all.
This could only mean one thing—Elise was lying. When love touches the soul, the heartbeat speeds up.
Seeing Matthew's strange look, Elise felt afraid, "Matthew, why are you looking at me like that?"
"I want to see what's in your heart!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Matthew suddenly pressed Elise against the wall and kissed her pink lips hard.
Elise struggled, pounding on Matthew's back, but she was too weak to make any difference.
She let Matthew's hand slip under her clothes to caress and knead her belly. Although she resisted rationally, that long-lost primal urge was awakened, making her unconsciously respond to Matthew.
Her breathing quickened, her body felt like it was on fire, slowly melting, and her pussy actually became wet.
Suddenly, this intimacy stopped abruptly. Matthew let go of Elise, his face showing triumph and victory.
"Matthew, you're shameless!" Elise cursed in shame and anger while straightening her clothes.
Matthew licked his lips, which still had traces of lipstick, "the body doesn't lie. In your heart, you love me!"
Elise's heart jumped again, and her eyes darted away, "I don't!"
Matthew put his hand on Elise's face. This time Elise didn't resist. After admiring Elise's stunning beauty, Matthew's eyes were unusually tender, "I can agree not to actively tell Atticus that I'm his father, just to see him! But sooner or later, he'll know who his real father is!"
With that, Matthew turned and left, but stopped at the door, "that feeling just now was amazing. I haven't felt that way in a long time!"
Just doing it for release is different from when two people deeply love each other—that feeling of spiritual and physical union is different.
Elise's body felt pleasure too. She was just too embarrassed to say it and didn't want to tell Matthew her true feelings.
But to her, this was a very dangerous sign.
If she still loved Matthew, how could she marry Zander? Would she have to share a bed with different dreams with Zander for the rest of her life?
Her mind was a mess, and she whispered to herself, "Matthew, where were you before!"
She composed herself and went to the toy room to pick up Atticus.
While driving back to the villa, after hesitating for a long time, Elise finally asked Atticus, "what do you think of that man?"
Atticus asked, "which man?"
Elise's face turned slightly red, "the man who served food in the cafeteria!"
"He's very nice. He often gives me things to eat," Atticus said honestly.
Elise asked, "he didn't tell you he was your father, did he?"
Atticus shook his head, "no!"
Elise breathed a sigh of relief, "don't tell Dad about today, and don't tell Grandpa and Grandma either, okay?"
Atticus nodded.
Elise then added, "didn't Mom tell you before? Mr. Moore also has a child who looks a lot like you, so he mistook you for his son. Just now in the office, I made it clear to him, and he realized he got the wrong person."
As she spoke, Elise watched Atticus's expression.
She believed that father and son had a special connection, and Atticus must have already felt some indescribable feeling between him and Matthew.
So Elise's explanation seemed a bit weak.
Atticus asked quietly, "Mom, if Mr. Moore gives me things to eat in the future, can I take them?"
Elise smiled slightly and said gently, "of course you can! Actually, Mr. Moore isn't a bad person. He won't hurt you."
Atticus nodded, "okay, I don't think he's bad either."
"Really?" Elise looked at Atticus in surprise. As she had guessed, there was a connection between father and son.
Having reached an agreement with Elise, Matthew was very happy. Even though he couldn't tell Atticus that he was his real father, being able to see Atticus anytime made Matthew very satisfied.
That evening, Matthew returned to the villa and found Mia sitting on the sofa with a blank expression.
Matthew acted as if he didn't see her and directed the bodyguards to bring in several bags of gifts.
Mia's eyes turned red, and she asked sarcastically, "Matthew, buying so many little gifts—are you going to visit children at an orphanage?"
Matthew didn't respond to her and instructed the bodyguard, "tomorrow at noon, drive back and deliver these Christmas gifts to the school and give them to Haven."
"Also, tell Haven that the day after tomorrow on Christmas Eve, she should add extra dishes for the kids! I'll reimburse her later!"
The bodyguard nodded, "okay, Mr. Moore, I'll do as you say!"
With that, he left the living room.
Mia's lips trembled, but she still tried to control her emotions, "Matthew, didn't you hear me talking to you just now?"
Matthew still ignored her and started walking upstairs.
"Matthew!" Mia rushed over and hugged Matthew from behind. "You can't treat me like this. Do you know how upset I am? Is it so hard to answer me? When did we become like this? Like strangers!"
Matthew was in a good mood and didn't get angry. He just gently pushed her away and said patiently, "I'm tired. I'm going to take a shower! If you have nothing else, you should go back!"
Matthew turned around, and Mia suddenly moved in front of him, threw herself at him, held his head, and kissed him frantically.
"You..."
Matthew hardened his heart and threw Mia onto the sofa forcefully, "enough!"
Mia glared at Matthew resentfully, "you're so heartless!"
