Chapter 102: Lacy

Chapter 102: Lacy
“I’m done with this!” Safyer snapped. “You and Amber will be held by the Elder Counsil’s dungeon. Where you will spend the rest of your lives.”

“What?! NO! You can’t do this!” Amber yelled.

“Your parents will be joining you.” Safyer said.

“We did nothing to deserve this.” Amber yelled.

“Actually, they helped a wanted wolf escape his death sentence.” Safyer reminded Amber. Amber was gonna say something, but Safyer held her hand up. “You should really keep your muzzle shut. You see anything you say can be used against you or your parents.” Safyer warned. “So, if you want to make things worse for you, then please, continue flapping your gums.” She motioned.

“You’d love that, wouldn’t you?” Mary huffed.

“No, I wouldn’t.” Safyer sighed. “I’m tired of this whole shit-show. Byron did something that no parent or even brother should hafta do.”

“He felt it was his only option.” Zoltan said.

“OPTIONS!” Mary scoffed, “he turned his back on his son.”

“NO, I didn’t turn my back on Mason, if anything I turned my back on Jordon, Lacy and Zolton.” Byron sighed, “I should’ve been there for Zoltan when his first mate was killed. Instead, I pushed him to leave where he had bad memories.”

“The only bad memory I had was the killing of Katie.” Zoltan said.

“I know but...” he trailed off. Byron sighed, rubbing his face. “I’ve ruined my family. I never should’ve done... I should’ve kept my family together. Lacy, I do you but...”

“But mom was... she made you think she loved you, that you and her were mates not Kristy.” Lacy said with a sigh, “I love you dad but...” She said, rubbing her face.

“I do love you Lacy,” Byron smiled at his little girl. “Jordon, Zoltan, I love you. I’ve made so many mistakes.” He looked over at Kristy. “Kris,” he smiled, “you have always been the love of my life. I’ve always loved you. All I can hope is that someday, you forgive me.” He said. “Alpha Queen Safyer, Alpha King Zoltan, I will accept whatever punishment you give me.”

“THAT’S IT!” Mary screeched at him. “That’s ALL you have to say? Did you even love me?”

“I honestly don’t know if what I felt for you was love.” He admitted. “I don’t even think you loved me either.” All Mary could do was scoff at him.

“Byron BlueStone, you have been sentenced to death.” Safyer started, “that death warrant will be handed down and you will be executed at sundown tomorrow.” She said, standing tall and confident. “Guards, take Mr. BlueStone to the cells.”

“You can’t do this!” Mary yelled. Amber was still clinging to Mary. “Zoltan, you’re going to let that whore...”

“YOU WILL NOT REFERR TO MY MATE SUCH A VULGER MANNER! SHE IS YOUR QUEEN!” Zoltan roared. “You will remain here until the elders decide your punishment.” He told them, “behave and you can stay in this room, cause problems, and I will have you put in the deepest, darkest, filthiest parts of the dungeons.” He glared at Mary. He grabbed his mate’s hand and gently tugged her out of the room.

Lacy stopped in front of her mom, she hugged Mary, “I love you, mom.” She whispered in Mary’s ear. “I’m going to live my life like I want. Someday when I find my mate and have pups, male or female, I will treat them as equals. They will have the love you never gave me.” She told her mom, kissed her cheek and walked away.

“You always thought you were better than everybody.” Mary said as her daughter walked away.

“No, mom. You thought you were better than everyone because you were Luna. You dotted on Mason more than your own daughter. You wanted me to be submissive to men, and you wanted to sell me to the Alpha with the highest bid. I wanted my fated mate. You called me stupid, said that fated mates...” she started, “Safyer, Iza and the Gamma twins are proof that fated mates are possible.” She looked at her mom, “no matter the things you said or did, I still love you. You’re my mom. I’ll always love you, but I will never think about you after today. I have a new family. One who loves me unconditionally and who’ll support all my ventures and guide me through my life.”

“As always,” Mary said turning her nose up at her daughter, “believing in fairy tales.”

“Yes mom, I believe in fairy tales and all that goes with it. If you think that makes me silly or whatever, that’s on you.” Lacy stared at Mary, “you believe what you want, Mary. I’ll never have to see you again.” Lacy nodded and walked out, not turning back to look at the woman who gave birth to her. She was sad that things turned out this way, but it was what her mom wanted. She had to do what was best for her and her future.

“Lacy, are you, okay?” Zoltan asked, turning around to look at his little sister.

She quickly wiped her cheeks, “yeah, I’m okay.” She shrugged.

“You don’t hafta hide your feelings from us, sweetie.” Kirsty said, putting her arm around her shoulders, “we are all here for you. I will always be here for you. I always wanted a little girl.” Kristy said. “I may not have a lot of time, but I would love to spend time with you.”

Lacy smiled, “I’d like that.” She hugged Kristy.

“You can come to anyone of us,” Celeste told her. “You are one of my pups now so, you can come to me, Vega, EJ or anyone of us. Please remember, you are not alone. Not ever.” Celeste smiled.

Lacy had been holding tears back, but she couldn’t anymore. She went to Zoltan; he wiped the tears from her eyes and then pulled her into his arms. “We are going to be okay. I promise.” He whispered. “You are well on your way to becoming one of our best and top female warriors.” He told her. “I am... we are so very proud of you.”

“Okay, c’mon,” Safyer started, “this little invader is demanding for food.” She said, “and craving something that is really disgusting but I hafta have it.” She said with a shrug.

“What is your craving?” Iza asked, with a raised brow.

“You don’t want to know.” She said, making a face.

“Well, if we’re going to feed you and this pup of yours, we need to know what you want.” Kristy chuckled.
