Chapter 101: Did You Ever Love Me

Chapter 101: Did You Ever Love Me
“Jordy! Lacy!” Zoltan called for them.

“You could just mindlink them, ya know.” Safyer snickered.

“Wasn’t really thinking.” He snorted.

“Hey big brother!” Lacy bounced in. Jordon was limping behind his little sister.

“Jord, what happened to you?” Kristy asked helping him sit down.

Lacy snickered, “I finally kicked his butt!” she chuckled. “It took me several weeks to do it, but I got it done.” She wiggled happily.

“It was just luck.” Jordon winced.

“Just sit still, let your wolf heal you.” Zoltan smiled, he was proud of his sister. “And you,” he pointed to Lacy, “good job.” He praised her.

“Hey!” Jordon snorted.

“I’m proud of the both of you.” Zoltan said.

“Awe Jordy, you know I love you. You trained me to kick butt.” Lacy lightly hugged Jordon.

“Yeah, but not my butt.”

“Okay, you two,” Zoltan interrupted them, “we have a couple of important things to talk about.” He said with a sigh.

“What’s going on? What did you need to talk about?” Lacy asked.

“Well first, Aus and Rol are preparing Mason’s body for his funeral pyre. I want to at least send Jake back to the Moon.” Zoltan started to say, “second, Byron still has the death warrant and we’re going to carry that out after Mason’ pyre is done. Question is, do you want to talk to him. You can say anything you want to say to him.”

“What about Mary and Amber?” Lacy asked.

“Not sure, the Elders are going to preside over them.” Zoltan answered.

“May I speak with mom also?” Lacy asked.

“Will you be there with me?” she whispered.

Safyer sat next to Lacy. “If you want to us there, we will.”

“Please, I don’t think I can do it alone.” She frowned.

“We will be right by your side, I promise.” Saf hugged Lacy and let her linger in her arms.

Byron was put in the same room with Mary and Amber. “What are you doing here?” Mary growled as Amber clung to her.

“I don’t know why I’m in here.” He answered.

“Well, they can just take you back.” Mary glared at her mate, “I have nothing to say to you.”

Byron sighed and sat down. “I’m sorry what’s happening. I’ve made so many bad decisions, the only good thing that came out of our relationship is Lacy.” He softly smiled at the thought of his little girl.

“That girl has been nothing but trouble since the day she was born.” Mary huffed.

“She’s your daughter, you should love her no matter what.” Zoltan said, walking in holding Lacy’s hand and Safyer on his other side.

“Why are you here!? You’re the one who caused my mate’s death!” Amber yelled and then fell to the floor sobbing.

Safyer and Iza rolled their eyes at Amber’s dramatics. “We’re here so Jordon and Lacy can have some closure, say goodbye and start new chapters for their lives.”

“I have nothing...” Mary started.

“I don’t care what you have to say or what you think.” Safyer said, “you are here so Lacy and Jordon can close this chapter of their lives.”

“Jordy, my baby,” Mary reached out to him.

“You are NOT my mom!” Jordon started, “only family can call me that and you are NOT family.”

“But I’m your mama. I raised you.” Mary said with a frown.

“Only because you and Byron got rid of my REAL mom. Kristy is and will ALWAYS be my mama. It’s because of you that I missed out on her love. My life, my brother’s lives would’ve been better without you.” He looked at Lacy, “don’t think that I don’t love you Lacy, because I do but Mary ruined my family.”

“I get it,” Lacy said. “I love you too and I’m sorry for everything that’s happened because of Mary.” She looked at her mom, “did you ever, even just a little bit, love me?” she asked Mary.

Mary sighed, “I know you wish my answer is yes, but I didn’t want children. You were a mistake.” Mary admitted.

“You are wrong!” Zoltan growled, “she is wanted, she is not and never was a mistake. She is a wanted family member. She is a beautiful she-wolf who’ll prove you wrong with each and every thing she accomplishes.”

“Yeah, she’s working her way up to be my lead personal guard.” Safyer glared at Mary.

“Oh please, she’s a weak female. She can’t even protect herself.”

“That is your fault!” Lacy yelled, “you’re the one who didn’t want me to train, but guess what Mary? I am learning to fight, learning how to protect myself and others.”

“You were supposed to be the perfect little Luna,” Mary continued, “you were supposed to bring me a fortune, enough for me to finally leave your father.”

“I don’t blame you for wanting leave,” Lacy said, “but for you to just throw me away to some male I don’t know or who’s even my fated mate.” She said. “I guess it doesn’t matter anymore. I have a new family, one who loves me for who I am. One who’ll stand by me, stand up for me and support what I want.” Lacy said moving closer to Safyer.

“You’re nothing but a traitor!” Amber sobbed. “Don’t you even care what happened to my mate? Your big brother?”

“Yes, of course, I care. He was my big brother no matter how big of a douche bag he was. I loved him, we had nothing in common but he’s responsible for how his life turned out.”

“NO, it’s all LaRea’s fault!” Mary yelled. “She broke his heart. You were his fated mate.”

“STOP!” Safyer bellowed, shaking the room. “LaRea is long dead! You will address me as Alpha Queen SAFYER! Mason is the one who rejected me long before I even knew he was my mate.” She reminded.  “Everything that has happened, happened for a reason set out by the Moon Goddess herself.” She said. Zoltan stood beside her, helping to calm her.

“If Mason was meant to be Alpha King, then HE would be the one standing here and not ME.” Zoltan said.
