Chapter 100: Don’t Tell Him That

Chapter 100: Don’t Tell Him That
“Sweetcheeks, I’m sorry. I... I never meant for... to sound like I only wanted a boy. I’ll take a boy or girl, as long as our pup is healthy.” He said, putting his forehead on hers. “I love you and our pup boy or girl. I don’t care.” Her tried to sooth her.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t’ve snapped at you like that.” She frowned.

“I should’ve worded it differently, I’m sorry.” He whispered.

“You’re going to hafta control your caveman side a little harder.” She snickered.

“Okay, so come back in a couple of weeks and we will see if we can find your little peanut.”

“What do you mean? Find the little peanut? Why don’t you know where he... she is?” Zoltan said with a panicked edge.

“Calm down,” she said, “pups like to move around a lot and they love to hide. Right Doc?”

“Yep, they love to move and hide, but he or she is safe inside mommy’s tummy.”

“Here you go your Majesty,” Deb said handing her a bag.

“What’s all that?” Zoltan asked, grabbing the bag and sniffing it.

“Give me that!” Safy snapped grabbing the bag from her idiot mate.

Deb chuckled, “it’s just some pre-natal vitamins and some tea that can help with any nausea that she might have.” Deb explained.

“They won’t hurt our pup, will they?”

“No, the tea is all natural, I don’t like giving meds to my expectant moms, except during delivery. But we can discuss that later.” Doc said. “You still have a while to go but the four months will go by very quickly.” He smiled.

“Uh... thanks Doc.” Zoltan said, suspiciously.

Doc Jude chuckled, “make sure you get a lot of rest and if you need anything at all, don’t hesitate to call me.” He said.

“Oh, Doc, you shouldn’t’ve said that,” Saf snickered, “Zol is going to be calling you with any little pain of movement.”

“That’s okay,” Doc Jude chuckled, “he wouldn’t be the first. Now, you better go before your mother comes storming in demanding to know what’s going on.” He laughed.

“Yeah, let’s go, we to tell our mom’s, dad and the others.” She smiled.

“Come by in two weeks around ten am and we will do a few more tests and an ultrasound, take your baby’s first picture.” Doc Jude told them.

“You got it Doc, see ya!” Zoltan said, guiding his mate out of the doctor’s office. Zoltan kept one of his hands on the small of her back. He wanted to make sure she was safe and didn’t trip and hurt herself. Young pups were running around and vying for their Alpha Queen and King’s attention. Zoltan was ready to growl and scold them, but his mate glared at him.

“Hey, pups!” Safyer smiled at them. “How are you doing?” she asked.

“Good.” They all said. “Can you play with us?” They asked.

Zoltan and Blade were getting agitated. Safyer could pick up on is agitation, “sorry kids, but I can’t play today.” All the kids made disappointed murmurs. “I’ll see if one of the Beta’s can come and play with you.” They bounced up and down with excitement.

“Yayayaya!” The kids cheered.

“I’ll see you pups later.” Safyer smiled and hugged the ones who went up to her. They all scattered to wait for Tarby.

“You and Blade need to chill. They are just pups who want to spend time with.” She said. “Just because I’m the Alpha Queen doesn't mean that I’m going to change what I do. I love playing and talking with our pack.”

“Sorry, we will try and work on that.” He mumbled.

“C’mon,” she kissed his cheek and tugged him along with her.

They walked into their family room to all their family members standing around and pacing. “Why were you at the doctor’s office?” Celeste asked, pulling her little girl into her arms. “Are you okay? Are you sick?” she held her daughter at arm’s length looking her up and down.

“Mom, I’m fine.” Safyer chuckled. “I just went in for a check-up.”

“And?” Klare asked with a smile.

“Hate to say it but Sabel’s right. The Kingdom’s heir will make his or her presence in about four months.” Safyer smiled and patted her still flat tummy.

“OH my! That’s wonderful.” Celeste cheered. “We must prepare for the announcement.”

“Mom, mom, wait.” Safyer said trying to get her mom to calm down.

“What? Why?”

“Can we at least wait until we have the ultrasound in two weeks? You can barely see her.” She looked at Zoltan with a smirk. He smiled and shook his head.

“Oh okay, at least that’ll give us time to plan better.” Celeste said and she hurried out the door followed by the other moms.

“Dad,” Safyer looked at her dad for help.

“It’s okay, I’ll go reign her in,” Vega whispered, as he hugged her tight. “Congratulations sweetheart. I’m so happy for you and Zoltan.”

“I hate rain on the celebration, but we need to do something with Byron.” Austin reminded them.

“He does have a death warrant.” Iza said, “there’s not much to talk about.”

“Maybe check with Jordon, Lacey and Kristy,” Saf started, “see if they have anything to say to him.”

“What about Mason’s body?” Tarby asked.

“Prepare a burial pyre,” Zoltan started. “We will at least send Jake to the Goddess.” Austin and Rollins nodded and went to prepare for Mason’s funeral. Zoltan sighed, “let’s go talk to Jordon and Lacey. Mom, you coming?”

Kristy stayed behind wanting to know what was going to happen to Byron. “Of course, I will son.” Kristy said wrapping her arms around him, hugging him tight. “I’m so sorry you have to go through this. I’m just so glad you have Safyer.” She squeezed him a little tighter.
