YRENE'S POV.

When we were all dressed. The triplets sat on the bed, while I took the seat close to the window.

"I'm sure you have a lot of questions. You can ask." Kaden said, staring at me intently.

I did have many questions, but I was going to reduce them, and ask the most important ones.

"How did you find me?" I asked, holding my fingers together, feeling a little embarrassed that I had sex with them again when they had hurt me so many times.

"Our wolves have mated with you, so we used your heat to find you." Reece explained, rubbing his palms together, slowly, with his elbows on his knees.

"Why did you find me? To take me back?" I asked, a little harshly.

"Yes." Ethan replied, and his reply annoyed me greatly. Did they think they still had power over me?

What was I returning home to? To blames that I'd be forced to accept? To oppression from Eileen?

Back then, I had put up with it, but Theo had done such a good job of showing me what love should feel like, that I'd rather stay with him, even though I wanted the triplets.

The worst part about being back at their house, was taking the blame for what I didn't do.

When Ethan had forced me to apologize, it had cut me deep.

"Why? Why should I return with you?" I asked, with my voice shaking a little.

"Why did you run?" Reece shot back at me.

"Because I didn't put nuts in Eileen's food. Because I didn't trip her. I didn't steal things, and try to sell them. I didn't break the portraits. Damn, I didn't try to hurt her in any way." Tears dropped from my eyes, as I got all emotional.

"I never intentionally gave her the worst glass to use, I never stared at her like I hated her… and… and because I think we all agreed that I'm useless." I poured all my frustrations out, and they looked struck by my tears.

"I ran because you guys wouldn't believe me." I concluded, and there was silence. I knew they were feeling guilty.

I took in a deep, shaky breath, and tried to blink my tears away. My tears continued to fall, so I turned to the window instead, and sniffed.

"You still have a contract with us." Ethan mentioned. I had been waiting for them to mention it.

"I'm breaking it." I replied, still staring out the window.

"What? There's the penalty. Can you pay the price for breaking the contract?" Kaden asked.

"Yes, I can."

"Then pay it now. We're not waiting for you to shuffle part-time jobs, and in the meantime you get the money, you're coming with us." Reece said, in a commanding tone, and I had never been more happy I met Theo.

"I met someone. Someone who thinks of me, and how I feel. Someone who recognizes my pain, and tries to make me feel better. A person who thinks my feelings matter. He trusts me." I blurted out, turning to stare at them, and they looked nothing but stricken.

"So?" Ethan asked.

"He is willing to break the contract, and pay the price." I answered, and loved the looks on their faces.

Their pride crumbled, and they finally began to feel like they had really lost me. They could no longer claim me as theirs.

"Today might as well be the last time we'll meet." I added, tucking my hair behind my ear.

"Don't say that." Kaden snapped, but I could see behind his frustration. Behind his frustration was fear. Fear of losing me. If they didn't want to lose me that much, why had they not been better towards me?

"Then what do we do? How can we get you back?" Ethan asked, with his elbows on his knees, and hands clasped together, as he stared at the floor in frustration.

"Choose." I replied immediately. "You have a choice to make. Is it me, or Eileen?"

"Of course, it's you." Reece blurted out, and looked away immediately in embarrassment.

I wanted to smile, but Ethan and Kaden hadn't answered yet.

"He has spoken for us all." Ethan replied, and I bit my lip, trying to hide my smile.

"Does your answer remain the same, even though I tell you I am pregnant?" I asked, and all three of them had huge, wide eyes fixed on me.

"You're what?" Ethan asked.

"I said I'm pregnant."

"You didn't have sex with the man who took you in?" Kaden asked, getting up from the bed.

"That's what I'm talking about. No trust. That's how you made me run away. Do you really think I would sleep with him?" I asked, and Reece took a deep breath.

"Yrene, please come with us." He said solemnly, and I was taken aback by the softness in his voice.

"Please." Ethan added, and my heart melted.

~

The four of us went to meet with Theo, and he was in the dining room when he saw us walking in.

He seemed to recognize them, as the triplets from my story, and got up.

"These are…"

"Reece, Ethan, and Kaden." I introduced them, moving towards Theo. "This is Theo." I said to the triplets, and their eyes widened.

"Alpha Theo." Ethan called, and Theo smiled. They shook hands, and began to converse.

"He's well-known." Kaden explained, when he noticed I was a little dumbfounded.

They continued to dialogue, and I was glad that there wasn't any ice between them.

And at last, Theo turned to me.

"Yrene. You can go with them." He said, and my mouth fell open.

Just like that? He didn't mind me going with them?

"As long as you're happy. I'm fine with it." He continued, and I was taken aback.

"You're… you're letting me go?" I asked, and he nodded.

"Being with them makes you happy, and I want you to be happy. We can continue being friends, right?"

He asked, and I nodded.

"We can be friends." I said, and he hugged me.

A friendly hug, and I was grateful to him.

I would be forever grateful to him.
