Chapter 58 A New Alpha
Calvin's POV
Caden had our stuff, mine, Margaret, Travis, Brad, and Samuel's things moved up to the guest rooms in their quarters last night.
He insisted that we finish our stay out there for safety to us as a group and mainly, security for Trixie.
He already knows we would protect her with everything we have. We're loyal to her.
Especially with her mated to the Twin Lycan Kings, yeah he is already aware that there will be problems.
After breakfast the kings went off to take care of business. A lot happened last night. There's a lot of damages and a lot of things that needs their attention.
We headed back upstairs. Trixie is feeling drained today, so she just wants to rest and take it easy today.
"Cal. So with Melvin and Richard both in the dungeon for the foreseeable future and doubtfully ever get out. Oh and Trinity and Charles as well. " Trixie chuckles. "Will you be taking over the pack when you get back." Trixie asks me.
"Trix, that pack is rightfully yours. Now that they are out of the way and you turn eighteen in a week. That position is yours, my sweet girl." I say to her with a soft, gentle smile.
"Cal. You don't understand what I'm asking." Trixie says as she rolls her eyes at me.
"My sweet girl. Sometimes, as you will soon see, Men, they don't take hints. You literally have to WHOP them over the head. Maybe even get ABC building blocks and spell it out for them." Margaret laughs.
"OMG!!!! Your so right. My mate, he's great in all, but damn it's like I have to explain situations as if I'm explaining them to a toddler." Sabrina says as she wipes the tears of laughter off her face.
The room explodes in laughter.
I just focus on Trixie. It's nice to see her so carefree. So relaxed. This is new to see. She never got to be a child, so to see her like this, it brings tears to my eyes.
"Trixie, maybe put it in LAYMEN'S terms. That may help". Tina jumps in.
"Alright. Alright. Enough. I was just saying that the White Claw Pack is Technically Hers. If anyone should take over, it's her. It's literally her birthright." I said as I rolled my eyes.
Trixie gets up from her chair and walks over and sits beside of me. She grabs my hand.
I think I know what she's proposing. This girl has a heart of gold.
"Cal. You have looked after me since my parents died. You had my back my entire life. Your like a father to me. Your the Gamma of the pack. Third in line as it is." She says, looking into my eyes. "What I'm asking is not simple, I know. It's definitely a lot of responsibility. Please Cal. Please think about it."
"What are you saying dear child. Think about what. Of course I'll be your Beta." I say and she just shakes her head as she uses her hand to smack her forehead.
"SpElL iT oUt fOr hIm" Sabrina says as they all laugh.
"Look Cal. I'm asking if you would consider taking over the pack. Atleast a trial run. See if it's right for you. I know your the best for the job. You already know everything about the pack." Trixie says as she bats her eyes at me.
"Please Cal. You deserve it." She asks again.
"Trix, this is literally YOUR birthright, I can't ..." I begin to say before she cuts me off.
"Cal. I'm mated to the Twin Lycan Kings. Do I really have to spell that out for you as well." She says as she rolls her eyes yet again.
"Yeah she's lucky the kings don't have her surgically attached to them." Tina laughs.
"Trix, I don't know what to say."
Damn. Now I have tears in my eyes and they are definitely not from laughter.
"Cal, just try it out. If it don't work then we will figure something else out." Trixie says "Plus I always thought Marg looked like a Luna already." She said as she winked over at my mate.
"Luna Margaret". I say to my mate.
"Are you ready to step up and help me run this pack. Trixie's pack." I ask my mate with tears running from them like a faucet.
"Of course. For Trixie, I'd do anything." She says.
"Then it's settled. Alpha Calvin, so when are you headed back to your pack." Trixie asks me with a wink.
"My dear child, are you trying to get rid of me already?" I ask with my hand over my heart.
She swats at me with both her hands.
"Cal, you know I never want to get rid of you."
"So with Melvin and Richard both in the dungeon, do we even know what's going on in the pack?" Trixie asked.
I look at her with the biggest grin on my face.
"You see Trix, when Melvin got locked up and we heard of Richard's plan, I called Elder Roy and checked on the pack. I updated him of what was happening. We were under the impression that you would take your rightful spot so we were prepared for that already. We were prepared to announce you as Alpha when we returned." I explained.
"So it wouldn't be any trouble to just switch it to you then, right?" Trixie asks.
"Not at all dear. I'll update him and tell him we talked about it and we have a change of plans."
I say to her with a smile.
"Thanks Cal. You truly are the best!!" She says as she wraps her arms around me giving me the tightest hug ever.
"Wait. Hold on." Sabrina says. "Damn. So you had it already set up for Trixie here" she said as she motioned at Trixie "to take over. Damn your good. You were definitely on the ball."
"See Sabrina, us men know and understand more than you think." I say to her with a wink.
The room bursts out in laughter once again.
Damn, Trixie looks so happy. I really love seeing her like this.
"With that all being said and decided, when will you be heading back to your pack, Alpha?" Trixie asked.
"Well, Queen Trixie" I say "that depends on your coronation and my Queen has a birthday in just a week." I say with a wink.
