Death Plans
Author's POV

“She kissed the Alpha!”

“Right in front of the princess!”

Rumors went around the penthouse about what had happened in the Alpha's room the previous night as people stared at Sylvia with weird gazes as she walked.

Maids stared at her, while talking in whispers, disgusted at her for daring to be so bold and cunning.

“Slut! She's trying to win the Alpha over to herself only! A mere maid!” Someone spat as that forced Sylvia to stop.

She curled her fists, wanting to retort but knew she shouldn't as that would only attach more rumors to her name.

No. She wasn't even fine with the ones she had to deal with already.

She walked away with a sigh.

Vivienne also heard the news circulating around the whole penthouse as she made the headmaid punish anyone who dared say that out.

“Argh. This is a humiliation to my name and my position in this pack!” Vivienne groaned, not wanting the rumors to extend outside the walls of the penthouse.

Fiona could only stay glued to her bed as the maid assigned to her brought the news to her.

She has witnessed it and has known that it wasn't just a baseless rumor. It really happened in front of her.

Stupid how she couldn't do anything to Sylvia the moment she caught them.

Another woman was kissing the man she had wanted right in front of her.

Oh! She deserves an award for being such a stupid one sided lover. She grabbed the sheets of her bed while thinking about how miserably she had liked and crushed on Valen for years. Her father had proposed marriage to Valen, but he rejected the offer, saying he didn't want a marriage alliance between the two families.

Something that would have been possible if Valen's dad was still alive.

“Oh, old man. Why did you die so soon?” Fiona thought about Valen's dad for the first time in years only to blame him for dying before he matchmaked the both of them.

She had tried to kill the woman getting in between the both of them but had failed woefully.

Then Fiona thought that maybe she just hadn't given it her all the first time. She thought about killing Sylvia again, maybe this time, she will leave Valen's life forever.

Fiona's gaze lifted as it landed on her maid. “Prepare the car, I'm going out in five minutes, and I'll drive”

The maid blinked. “You….are going alone?”

Fiona's gaze darkened. “What? You want to be snooping in on every one of my affairs?”

“Absolutely not, princess” the maid said and quickly exited, going to do as she had been instructed.

Fiona grabbed her phone, texting a message to someone. “Let's meet. And this time, I would like to meet the leader”

It didn't take long, and Fiona was in the car, already driving in the middle of the road to a place only the moon goddess knows.

She parked the car in front of an empty warehouse, getting out of the car in her black cloak which almost covered the whole of her face. She looked around, searching for the person she had sent a message to and then footsteps echoed behind her and when she turned, she saw a masked man standing while clutching tightly to his sword.

“Princess Fiona?” he asked and Fiona nodded.

“Come with me. The leader is waiting” the man said and led Fiona to a car.

The moment they got to the car, the man blindfolded her, shoving her gently into the car.

Fiona didn't act surprised as she expected that much from sneaky assassins who didn't want to be discovered by the world.

She knew the car was moving, and they were heading somewhere though she doesn't know where.

The motion stopped, the sound of a car door opening and slamming close. Then Fiona was pulled out of the car by the man, the blindfold getting removed from her face.

“Follow me” the man's voice was cold, his words simple.

Fiona followed him. He led her into the organization which was in front of her and even though the building was big, all Fiona saw inside was a large hall with no doors leading to any other place.

But she was smarter than to be fooled. Of course, assassins are sneaky, there must be hidden doors.

Fiona stopped thinking about the other rooms, focusing on the figures in front of her.

Among every one standing was a woman dressed in a black ball gown, her face covered with a veil hat.

“Welcome, princess,” the woman said. “Guess you need our service again?”

Fiona hadn't expected the boss to be a female, but there was nothing that couldn't happen, as long as it's under the sky.

“The first mission failed, I want to try again” Fiona paused. “I want her dead”

The woman chuckled. “Of course, we are always at your service”

“This time, I'll send one of my skilled female assassins,” the woman added.

“Jemimah!” The woman snapped her gaze to the side, and a female dressed in a stealth black leather dress stepped forward, bowing her head.

Her purple hair was packed to the middle, a silver hairpin holding them together.

“She will take the work, and I trust she will do a good job” The leader said to Fiona.

Apparently, she's someone with little words.

“I love him, and will do everything to have him to myself” Fiona started, her gaze fixed on the female assassin called Jemimah.

“You can't fuck this up like one of your mates did” Fiona told her with her gaze darkened.

“Leave it to me, princess. I've never failed a mission assigned to me, and this won't be the first” Jemimah bowed slightly.

Fiona didn't want to believe her yet, not until she saw the result.

“Tonight, she must die” Fiona said, then turned without waiting for a response, or saying goodbye.

The masked man who had brought Fiona to the organization took her back to the car as he blindfolded her again.

The drive was short, and soon the car stopped at the warehouse. Fiona stepped down even before the man could, and took the blindfold off, throwing it onto the seat.

Then she walked to her car without a word.

Tonight might define her fate. If Sylvia dies, then she gets to stay by his side, but if she doesn't, then she doesn't know what she'll do next.
