Epilogue
Five months later
Savannah's POV
“No, let me go! We have to get up.”
“We still have an hour until we need to be there.”
“Gabriel, seriously. We can't be late.”
“We won't be late. The other will be there early. And by the way, Zamyr is still in the shower.”
“That's one of the reasons why we need to get up.”
The past few months passed in a blink of an eye. After the attack we found Dalia's trampled body. She was barely recognizable. In the middle of all the chaos, my cousins found out that Maddie was their soulmate. Safe to say she was shocked when she found it out and freaked out a bit. She wasn't expecting that to happen because she was basically human. They got the reward they deserved if the prophecy was fulfilled. They saved me even if they could've died. Nobody else was seriously injured from my immediate family, but we lost many people. It was hard to see the weeping family members who stayed behind. They guys were on bedrest for two weeks and they were restless. All they wanted to do was get out of bed, but they obeyed when Maddie yelled at them to stay put. It was a hilarious sight to see.
“Hurry up! We need to go.”
“Five minutes and I'm out of here, love. Be patient.”
“Zamyr, I swear to God that if you're not out of the bathroom in a minute I'll lock that door so you can't go inside.”
“I'm here, I'm here.”
“Perfect. I need to change my clothes then we can go.”
“Then why were you yelling for me to come out?” - he mumbled.
“Did you say something?” - I asked him annoyed.
“Nothing.”
“That's what I thought.”
These pregnancy hormones were turning me into a monster. I was four months pregnant. When the guys found out they were ecstatic. One day I collapsed on the sofa in the living room. They immediately called for a doctor, but Clementina arrived earlier. She had a vision about our baby boy. It's been three months since then. I put on a beautiful white dress laced with gold for the event. Today was the day of my coronation and also the day I'd shatter the veil that separated the realms.
“You look absolutely stunning, Princess. Or should I call you Queen now?”
“I'm not a Queen yet, Gabriel.”
“Soon you'll be.”
“I know. And you'll be my Kings. I can't believe this is happening.”
“You better believe it, love because there's no turning back.”
“Yes, there's no turning back. I think we better leave. We wasted enough time.”
“It's never a waste of time when we're in bed with you.”
“Only you'd say this, Zamyr.”
The two of them just laughed. I opened a portal leaving them behind. I could be nasty if I wanted to be. Nobody should mess with a pregnant woman.
A huge crowd gathered in the field waiting for me. For us. After I shatter the veil, the coronation would take place. The news of the battle soon reached every supernatural race. They wanted to crown me immediately, but in the end we postponed it. I wanted to be truly happy when I would become Queen. I couldn't do that after all the loss we suffered.
“You left us. Again.”
“When will you learn not to mess with me?”
“What did we do this time, love?”
“Apart from laughing? Nothing at all.”
Everyone was present. My grandparents, my parents, my cousins, my best friend. All the people I needed. After I got to know my grandfather, I knew that we'd get along just well. He wasn't as rigid as my grandma had been when we first met. Surprisingly, they accepted my mom and let her live with my dad. I don't know who was happier. Me or them. Maddie was happy with the guys. They didn't let her out of their sight for longer than an hour. One of them was constantly checking on her. It was adorable and annoying at the same time.
“It's time, Savannah.” - grandma said.
With that I took the last steps towards the veil. This time I found myself inside the veil without resistance. I became one with the veil when I crossed it months ago. I felt at peace. I remembered the chaos that resembled the veil back then. The spells and objects found their home. There was no need for chaos anymore. I started chanting. I felt the veil slowly becoming thinner and thinner. I could even see through it. A minute later it was gone. Nothing separated the realms from each other anymore. Everybody was free. No more invitations were needed. The leaders of the realms were invited to the coronation ceremony.
“Everyone! Let's head back for the coronation ceremony.” - grandma announced.
We were standing on the balcony by the time the people gathered. The leaders were standing at the front, smiling at us. When the Priestess stepped out on the balcony, everything became quiet. One would think that the Queen of the angels herself would do the ceremony, but that wasn't the case.
“All of us gathered here today for the coronation of Princess Savannah Rose Angelos. I ask you a few questions. Answer them honestly and never go back on your words.”
“I promise, I won't.”
“Do you accept the title Queen Savannah Rose Angelos and all the responsibilities that come with that title?”
“I accept the title and the responsibilities.”
“Do you swear to protect everybody and put their well-being first?”
“I swear, I'll protect everyone with all my might.”
“Do you swear to govern fairly, never harm innocents and never be consumed by greed?”
“I swear.”
“You heard the Queen's answers. Let's hear the answers of her mates.”
She asked the same question from them too. I was grinning from ear to ear and so did everyone else.
“Queen Savannah, wear this crown with pride. You saved us all.”
With that the Priestess put the huge crown on my head. It was pure gold with various gemstones. It was gorgeous.
“King Zamyr, King Gabriel, wear this crown with pride and help the Queen with everything you can.”
With that the Priestess left the balcony. Only the three of us remained. Side by side. Zamyr on my right and Gabriel on my left. The prophecy was fulfilled. The world was saved. We left that part of our life behind. A new chapter just started. There were a lot of things that needed to be taken care of, but this day was for celebration only. Tomorrow we can start that new chapter, but today was just for us.
“Long live the Queen! Long live the Kings!”
