Chapter 93: 1 Week Later
Andros’ P.O.V. Continued
As the four of them took their seats James then ordered a catered lunch from John’s restaurant. “This will be a lunch meeting, I just ordered lunch for everyone. Now let us get down to business.” We went over the suggestions that James and I produced together and the six of us decided on a route to take. “Alright, I want Lala and Mark to draw up the designs that we just got done discussing and make sure to interact with Carrie on the budget. We do not want to go over the clients given budget. Dean, please collaborate with Lala and Mark on the design work. Any questions?” “When do you want this turned in by?” Mark asked us. “Let’s see, the next meeting with the client is in two weeks, so I’d say by the end of the week.” “10:00 On Friday morning.” James added and wrote it down. “Ok, you are all dismiss. Any questions feel free to come to us.” I added.
As James and I walked back to John's office, I observed that Liliana had returned and was accompanied by Analina. “I’ll be right there.” I said to James and went up to the assistant’s desk. “Hi, my angel, how did the exam go?” I asked her. "I did well; it took only half an hour." Then we went out to lunch.” “That is good. When will you know the results?” “Sometime next week.” “Ok, I should probably get back to work.” I said to her as I went around the desk and planted a kiss to her lips. I left her and went back to John’s office. Entering I noticed that James had already started to go over what we talked about during our meeting.
A Week Later
John’s P.O.V.
As Andros and I worked in the office I received an email from Analina’s principal. I read what was written and felt relieved. I then called Liliana and Analina into my office. “You can take a break from what you are doing Andros. I just received some good news Analina and Liliana will be in shortly.” He stopped his work instantly. It was a Wednesday afternoon as we were pouring over. the documents for tomorrow morning’s meeting. Liliana walks in with Analina and takes seats in front of my desk. “What is it Darling?” She asked me. “Don’t worry it’s good news.” I said looking over at Analina. “I just got an email from your principal, you passed. You are a high school graduate. You will receive your diploma on Friday.” “Oh My God!” She yelled out. “That is good news, but we should all get back to work now.” Liliana said. After the left the office I called Jonathan to tell him about his sister’s exam results.
Jonathan’s P.O.V.
“Hello.” “Hi Son, I have some good news about your sister. She passed her exam and will receive her diploma on Friday.” “If is ok I would like to be the one to arrange a party for in celebration to graduating high school.” “Of course, son “Any thoughts about what you want to plan?” “Well, I was thinking to have it at your place, Mariann and I could spend the night of the party and when I leave the next morning I can bring Analina and Andros home with us.” “That will work.” “Ok, I’ll get started on the party planning than.” I hang up and press the intercom button. “Mariann, come to the office.” She comes in and walks up to my desk with a worried look on her face.
“Hey, do not worry it is nothing bad. Analina passed final exam and will receive her diploma on Friday. I told dad that I wanted to be the one that planned the party for her.” “Oh, I think that is just wonderful Jon.” “I of course want you to help.” “Good, I would love to.” She said with a big smile on her face. “You can get back to work now, after dinner we will start planning.” I said to her before she left my office. The rest of the workday was uneventful; on the way home Mariann and I discussed some of the party preparations. We do, however, have a lot of work ahead of us since we only have two days to put together the best party ever for my little sister.
Two Days Later
Jonathan and Mariann left the office early and headed to his fathers house to start decorating for the graduation party. As they arrived a mail carrier approached him with a large envelope which I had to sign for, noticing that it is from the school he called his father as Mariann started in on the decorating. “Hi dad, Analina has gotten something from the school.” “That will be her diploma, can you bring it to my office, in the bottom drawer of my desk I have a picture frame can you open the envelop and put it in the frame for me. I also have a sheet of wrapping paper and tape in the same drawer.” “Sure, no problem dad.” He said as he got going at the task that was given to him.
As work ends for Analina she becomes anxious on the arrival of her diploma. She knows that it is supposed to come in the mail today, but what happens if it does not show up until after she leaves for her brother’s house tomorrow? As she is walking out of the building with her parents, Andros, and the guards. Andros, who is holding her hand speaks to her. “What’s wrong, my angel?” “Just worried about my diploma not showing up on time.” “It will. Are you all packed for tomorrow?” “Yes, just need to pack the miscellaneous items in the morning. And you?” “All done, like you just going to wait until tomorrow morning to pack the odds and ends.”
The Party
The eight of the get into the car and drive off heading for The Stratton estate. Upon arriving Analina gets even more anxious when no one lets them know of any mail that was received that day. As they walk through the door Analina catches the shift in the air being different from normal and looks cautious around her environment. “SURPRISE!!!” She heard different voices shout out to them. Her brother then comes over to her. “Congratulations on graduating high school. Are you ready to head over to my place in the morning?” He asked her. “Yes, everything is packed and ready to go.” She answered him.
She noticed a gift being transferred from his hands over to her their father’s. “This is for you, peanut.” Her father says with a proud smile on his face. She opens the gift and, to her surprise, finds out that it is the diploma that she was so worried about not arriving on time.
The room was alive with excitement, the decorations shimmering under the soft glow of the chandeliers. Analina’s eyes sparkled as she looked around, taking in every detail of the celebration her brother had so carefully orchestrated. Streamers in her favorite colors lined the walls, and a large banner overhead read, “Congratulations, Analina!” in elegant script.
