Chapter 13 An Offer!
Gerald picked up a glass and threw it, but luckily John managed to dodge it so the glass didn't hit him.
Gerald's chest heaved uncontrollably.
"That bastard rat! He wants to mess with me! But why would Jenny want to meet him? Doesn't Jenny hate him too?" Gerald said.
John gave him the code by pointing to his head.
"Yeah... yeah... I know! That damn memory! But out of all the people, why did she have to meet Dixon?" Gerald paced back and forth again.
"It's because... after... you fired him, the lady seemed sad, so she wasn't focused and accidentally crashed into Adrian's car, Alpha! And Mrs. Jenny came to see him to resolve the issue! That's the information I received, Alpha!" John said again very carefully.
"So, it's all my fault, is that what you mean, John? If only I had known her first, maybe this problem wouldn't be so complicated!" Gerald pulled his hair in frustration.
"I'm sorry... Alpha... I didn't come sooner that day!" John also felt guilty.
"Never mind! It's not your fault either! But,
that woman... Is she stupid? Alpha Adrian must have deliberately used this excuse to keep Jenny by his side! I know he's been after her for a long time! If it weren't for... Jenny forbidding me, I would have finished off that sly man!" Gerald said, his chest heaving again.
"John! Let's go!" Gerald suddenly grabbed his coat and put it on quickly.
"Where are you going, Alpha?" John asked, confused.
"To see Alpha Adrian and save my wife, of course! What else? Oh, yes... don't forget to bring the file! I'm not stupid! I know that Jenny, as she is now, will definitely refuse if I don't bring the file! There's no other way but to pressure her!" Gerald said as he walked out towards the door of his room.
"But, Alpha?" John was a little upset.
"No buts! He started all this! To hell with the peace agreement! He wants to take my Luna! I can't just stand by like a stupid man, can I?!" Gerald stared at John with his grey eyes flashing.
"Y-yes, Alpha..."
"BAM!!"
Gerald stormed out, slamming his office door behind him, and walked out with quick, long strides. Behind him, John followed the Alpha with the same long strides.
After waiting for a few minutes, Jennifer was finally met by an assistant who took her to Adrian Dixon's office.
On the way to Adrian's office, all the employees stole glances and whispered.
"Isn't that Mrs. Jenny? What is she doing here? Has Mr. Dixon reconciled with Mrs. Jenny?"
"I don't know... I heard that Mrs. Jenny is Mr. Williams' wife, right? And... they separated... 6 years ago? Did Mr. Williams divorce her and she intends to return to Mr. Dixon?"
"Could be! What a cheap woman!"
Jennifer stopped when someone called her a cheap woman.
Jennifer turned and glared at them.
Mr Dixon's assistant, who knew her, spoke up again.
"Don't you have anything better to do? This is the office! Not a place for gossip! Or do you want me to report to Mr Dixon that you're bored of working here, huh?" he said again.
"No, sir! We're sorry..." Everyone dispersed and pretended to go back to work.
"Come on, Mrs Ross? Please forgive our employees' rudeness..." he said politely.
"It's fine, Mr Anderson! It seems they mistook me for someone else! Sorry, I'm not Mrs. Jenny, my name is Jennifer Ross! So I'm not the person you're looking for!" Then Jennifer casually walked away, guided by Adrian Dixon's assistant.
"Ma'am... this is Mr. Dixon's office! It seems... Mr. Dixon is waiting for you inside!" Adrian's assistant bowed slightly to make room while knocking on the door in front of him.
"Come in!"
"Please, Madam!" Adrian's assistant very politely invited Jennifer to enter.
"Sir, I have brought Mrs Ross... to see you, sir!" Adrian's assistant saluted with a slight bow.
"Go, Mark!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Wait a minute!" Jennifer looked alternately at Adrian's assistant and Adrian.
"Isn't your assistant here with us to discuss the damage to your car, sir?" Jennifer asked probingly.
Adrian gazed at Jennifer with admiration. Her face was more mature but even more beautiful, her golden hair deliberately tied up to reveal her beautiful slender neck. Jennifer wore a simple yet elegant white dress that flared out at the bottom to her calves, with high heels and a handbag, making her look even more elegant.
Adrian stared at her with interest. 'No mistake! It's Jenny! My Jenny! Now she's more mature, beautiful and elegant! But why doesn't she seem to recognise me? Is she someone else with the same face? I only have one more sign, a crescent moon behind her ear on the inside! Luckily, she has her hair tied up at the moment, making it easier for me to see it!
"Hello? Sir? Are you listening to me?" asked Jennifer, waving her hand in front of Adrian's face.
"Ah... yes... what did you say?" asked Adrian again.
Jennifer sighed slightly in annoyance. Adrian's handsome face did not interest her. For some reason, Jennifer felt uncomfortable being alone with Adrian.
Adrian was slightly shorter than Gerald, with a smooth, pale face and no stubble around his jawline. He had a pointed nose and blue eyes, typical features of an American. However, Jennifer thought that although his face was no less handsome than Gerald's, it was a little boring. Or was it just that Jennifer didn't like him? She didn't know!
"Are you afraid to be alone with me, Mrs. Jenny?" Adrian asked suddenly.
Jennifer looked at Adrian lazily, "No! Of course not! But I don't want to get any more hateful looks or gossip! Like earlier!! I'd better leave now if Mr. Dixon forces me to be alone with him in this room! Thank you! Regarding the cost of repairing your car... I'll pay for it! Oh, yes, my name is Jennifer Ross, not Jenny! I don't understand why everyone calls me that! I'm clearly not her!" Jennifer was about to leave Adrian.
‘Why is she still so arrogant even though she doesn't know me? What was her name again? Jennifer Ross? No way! She must be Jenny! But what did she mean by that? I can't let her go!’
“Mark?? What did Mrs. Jenny, I mean Mrs. Ross, mean by that?”
Mark explained briefly and concisely, Adrian growled in annoyance.
"Please forgive my subordinate's mistake, Mrs Ross. Please sit down. There are two options you can choose from regarding the compensation for my car repairs. First, pay the repair costs in cash right now, amounting to 15 billion! Or... accept my second offer!" said Adrian, sitting in his chair.
“What do you mean by your second offer, sir?” Jenny asked, certain she couldn’t afford such a large sum right now.

“Look!” Adrian exclaimed again.
Jennifer read it and was shocked!
