Chapter 12 Meeting Alpha Adrian Dixon

Chapter 12 Meeting Alpha Adrian Dixon
That morning, Jennifer woke up earlier than usual because she was not used to sleeping soundly in a new place.

They had breakfast together, and Jennifer told him her whole story and how she had accidentally scratched Dixon's luxury car.

At first, Jennifer wanted to bring Alex along with her, but Captain Bryan suggested that Alex stay at home with a maid he had hired, who would arrive that morning.

Bryan didn't want Jennifer to have the hassle of bringing Alex along, because the person Jennifer was going to meet was one of the country's major businessmen, besides Gerald Williams, of course, and it would be inappropriate to bring Alex along or leave him at a daycare centre she didn't know at all.

Finally, after talking to Alex as well, Jennifer gave in.

"Will you be okay at home, dear?" asked Jennifer, a little worried.

"Don't worry, Mummy! Auntie Marta will keep me company until you come home! Right, Auntie Martha?" exclaimed Alex, looking at Alex's housekeeper, who had arrived before they had breakfast and whom Alex had immediately become attached to.

“Of course, Sir! Madam needn’t worry; I’ll look after him like my own child until you arrive!” Martha, a woman who was probably a bit older than Jennifer, exclaimed.

“Alright! Thank you, Martha. I won’t be long! I’ll definitely be back by noon! Thank you, Bryan! Luckily, you hired Auntie Martha so I wouldn’t have trouble leaving Alex! Because Alex happens to be on school holiday! So I was a little confused earlier! But thankfully, now there’s Martha!” exclaimed Jennifer, feeling a little relieved.

"That's what friends are for, right? Do you want me to take you to downtown LA?" asked Bryan after they finished breakfast.

Martha arrived very early and had time to make sandwiches with vegetables, a little meat, eggs and milk for breakfast, which was enough to fill their stomachs in the morning.

"If you don't mind!" Jennifer smiled broadly.

"Of course not! I'm going to the office to check on the progress of your case and other cases! I might be home a little late, so I won't be able to pick you up. Do you mind going home by taxi?" Bryan asked carefully while tidying his shirt.

"Of course not! Don't worry! I can definitely get home by myself! Besides, I won't be long!"

"All right! Let's go! Before it gets too late and the roads get really crowded and congested!"

"Bye, dear! Take care at home, okay? Martha, thank you for breakfast! It was delicious!" Jennifer shouted after kissing Alex on the forehead.

“Alright, Mum! Take care, Mum! Take care, Uncle Bryan!”

“You too, dear! Goodbye!” Jennifer called out, waving her hand slightly before leaving the house.

They set off for Adrian Dixon’s office.

After they had gone quite a distance, a black car began to follow them slowly.

Neither Jennifer nor Captain Bryan noticed it.

Not long after, Jennifer got off at 515-555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles.

City National Plaza.

Next to it were two identical box-shaped buildings with glass walls surrounding them.

Jennifer sighed heavily, because yesterday morning she remembered that she had just left the office next door. William Enterprise and Dixon Enterprise to its left.

"Why did I have to write down the address? Didn't I just leave here yesterday? It's like déjà vu, I have to come back to this area again this morning! Luckily, the Dixon Enterprise office is on the left. So it's not exactly déjà vu!" exclaimed Jennifer, staring at the twin buildings.

Jennifer straightened her clothes and walked to the building where Dixon Enterprise was located, right on her left.

"Come on, Jennifer! Hopefully, he'll be kind enough to give me some leniency for the damage to Mr. Dixon's car yesterday!" Jennifer exclaimed with a heavy heart.

Jennifer entered the large lobby, which had very comfortable sofas and an escalator next to it leading down to what appeared to be the basement, where the car park was located.

After speaking to the receptionist, Jennifer sat down and saw a door across from her that required an access card to reach the lift, as in most offices.

Jennifer had already contacted Dixon's assistant and was asked to wait before going upstairs.

Meanwhile, Jennifer waited calmly and relaxed.

There, in one of the neighbouring buildings, a man was also pacing back and forth in his office.

Suddenly, someone appeared, running.

"John! What did you mean by what you said earlier? Jenny, what's wrong? Did something happen? What did our men say?" The dashing Gerald grabbed John's arm anxiously and shook him a little. His shirt sleeves, which had been neatly rolled up, were now rolled up to his elbows.

"Hosh! Hosh! Let me catch my breath first, sir! I mean, My Alpha! Because I ran here as fast as I could!" exclaimed John, who looked exhausted.

"All right! Speak quickly!" Gerald returned to his chair and sat down on his large throne. His stern face, which made him handsome, exuded an aura that could not be underestimated.

"Earlier... our information said that early in the morning, Mrs. Jenny... had left and was driven by Captain Bryan, but they parted ways on the road. Captain Bryan seems to have gone to the police station where he works and... Mrs. Jennifer... was seen in our Alpha office building area!" said John, a little apprehensive.

Gerald stood up from his chair, "Really? Did she come to see me? I have to get ready then!"

"John, how do I look? Am I handsome? Should I let my arms down and wear a suit? Or should I just stay like this? Which one do you think is better, John?" asked Gerald excitedly as he stood up and approached his assistant and Beta Pack.

John Martin bit his lower lip with a worried look on his face, without answering.

"Oh dear, Madam! What should I say to that lonely wolf? He'll be furious when he finds out... Madam went to the building next door instead of here!'

"John? Why are you silent? Oh, yes, is Jenny downstairs now? Why don't you go and fetch her? Tell the receptionist at the front desk that no one is allowed to stop my wife from coming here!" Gerald's voice boomed.

John could only look down and narrow his eyes.

Gerald stared at his Beta, John, who didn't dare to look back at him.

"John? Why are you so quiet? Go downstairs and fetch my wife!" Gerald said impatiently.

John finally raised his head and spoke softly.

"Sorry, Alpha, I don't think I can do that!" He looked fearfully at his Boss and Alpha.

"Why not? Don't tell me you're... starting to rebel now?" Gerald held up a finger in warning in front of John.

John shook his head quickly, "Of course not, Alpha!"

"Then?”

John took a breath and began to speak quickly with his eyes closed, "Because Madam didn't come here, Alpha! She... she did come to our office area, but she went to the building next door!"

"The building next door? What for?"

John took another breath.

“To meet Alpha Adrian Dixon, the Alpha of Greenstone!”

“WHAT???!!”

Gerald’s voice shouted so loudly it shook the glass in his private office.

Sounds fro
m behind the room were startled, even glancing towards Gerald’s office with suspicious looks.

Suddenly…

“Crash!!”
