Chapter 241 – Happy Endings
Chapter 241 – Happy Endings
Liora
My bidy was frozen, I couldn’t move.
The world felt unreal... everything seemed like a dream, and i was afraid to wake up in tears.
I pinced myself, and it hurts. I bute my lips till it bled. That means this time, It's real.... there's is no waking up in tears.
Lucian was still there, staring at me....alive.
Everything felt like a memory returning too fast. My chest felt heavy as my knees gave out.
He looked the same as the Lucian I know.
But something change.... same like me. There was this calmness in his eyes, something stronger than before.
I can see the pain, but there was peace.
“Liora,” he said again, his voice betraying him.
I tried walking towards him. The floor under my feet blury, but solid.
It’s real, I whispered to no one but me. He’s real Snowfall, our mate is back.
I couldn’t believe it myself. I stopped at his front. My hands reached out to touched him.
“Lucian…” I gulped. “How? You… you were gone. I saw you...”
He nodded slowly. “I was. But the goddess heard you.”
I gasped. “Heard me?”
Unbelievable.
He stepped and iche filling the space between us. “Every night, every word you whispered under the moon… I heard them too. The goddess gave me a second chance, not to erase what I did, but to make it right.”
I couldn’t believe my ears, the tears falling before I stop them. “A second chance?”
He nodded. “To rebuild what I destroyed. To lead the broken, the forgotten… the rogues.”
The hall had gone silent. Everyone listened. Keal’s expression softened, though he said nothing. Even father looked shaken.
Lucian sighed and continued, “Two months ago, I woke beyond the veil, among souls who couldn’t find peace. The goddess told me they still needed a leader… and she let me return to guide them. The Royal Rogues, they’re my pack now. A pack of those once lost, like I was.”
He explained, his voice cracking towards the end.
“You’re their Alpha?” I whispered.
“Yes,” he said softly. “But I came here for. another reason. To thank you.” He uttered, looking at keal.
"You saved me, Liora. Not with magic… but with forgiveness.”
I clutched my chest, trying to breathe through the ache that rose there. But It's hard.
“I prayed for you,” I whispered. “Every night. Even when I thought the goddess had forgotten me.”
He smiled faintly. “She didn’t.”
She smiled for the first time in forever, neither of us spoke. The world seemed to fall away.
Then Keal’s voice broke the stillness. “Welcome home, Lucian.”
Lucian turned to him, bowing slightly. “Thank you, Alpha. I hope I can help, Silvermoon deserves the peace you’ve built.”
Keal nodded. “Then help us keep it.”
Lucian’s lips curved. “That’s why I came.”
...
The next morning, we met again, this time was in the garden away from the hall, where the air smelled of wildflowers and raspberries.
Snowfall was restless me, her silver fur shimmering under the sun.
“He’s really here,” she murmured in my mind.
“I know,” I answered softly. “And I don’t believe it. Either.”
We followed in the garden. forest
Lucian sat at the near the pool.
When he turned to me, he smiled faintly. “This place hasn’t changed.”
I laughed quietly, brushing a strand of hair from my face. “It has. Many things t feels lighter now.”
He tilted his head to watch. “Because you made it that way.”
We standing now.
“I used to come here, every day” I said softly. “After you… left. I’d cry until I couldn’t anymore. Then I’d pray. I told the goddess if she could hear me, I wouldn’t ask for you back. I’d just ask her to forgive you.”
He smiled rubbing my fingers “And she did.”
I nodded, smiling through the tears “I guess she did.”
There was a pause. The waterfall bobbled.
He took a slow breath. “I’m sorry, Liora. For everything, for hurting you, for breaking the bond, for making you carry what should’ve been mine to bear.”
I turned to him, shaking my head. “No. You already paid the price, Lucian. The goddess wouldn’t bring you back if she thought you weren’t worthy.”
He smiled, soft and small. “Maybe. But I still need to prove it.”
He took another closer step. “Then prove it with life. Help us rebuild, help the lost, guide your rogues. That’s what you were meant for.”
His hand brushed mine lightly, his touch warm, alive.“And you?”
I didn’t break eue contact.
“I fulfilled my promise,” I whispered, tears sliding freely now. “I brought you back. But not with dark magic, not with blood. With faith. With love.”
He closed his eyes briefly, exhaling like he’d been holding that breath for years. “You did,” he murmured. “You really did.”
We sat there for hours, speaking about everything and nothing. About the packs, about the changes, about how the moonlight now felt like a blessing rather than a wound.
Lucian told me about the rogues, how he taught them discipline and honor, how they now called themselves The Redeemed.
“They were once killers, thieves, outcasts,” he said. “But they listen. They want to change. Maybe that’s what I needed too, to be among those who knew what it meant to fall.”
I smiled. “And to rise again.”
He chuckled softly. “Maybe that too.”
Snowfall smiled.. “You broke her heart,” she said through the bond, her tone sharp but not cruel. “Don’t do it again.”
Lucian laughed wholeheartedly, touching her head. “I won’t. You have my word.”
She huffed, "Good. Because she deserves happiness. Even if it’s not with you.”
I blinked, startled. “Snowfall!”
She snorted. “What? I’m being honest.”
Lucian grinned, looking between us. “She’s right, you know. Whether I stay or not, you already won your fight, Liora.”
I looked at him. “I don’t want to fight anymore, Lucian. I just want to live.”
He nodded slowly. “Then live. And let me help.”
Night came sooner than we expect it. Some Silvermoon’s pack member.
Keal greeted him formally, shaking his hand. “The goddess doesn’t make mistakes. If she brought you back, you must have a purpose here.”
Lucian smiled. “To serve, not to rule.”
And so, under the silver moon, he pledged himself to the new covenant of the packs.
The moon's Light shown brighter, a soft skin glowing like a second skin. The pack howled in approval, their voices echoing through the night.
I stood beside Aurelie, who was smiling with tears brimming her eyes.
“It’s over,” she whispered. “The cycle’s truly broken.”
I nodded, watching Lucian kneel beneath the sky. “No,” I murmured. “It’s not over, it’s beginning again. The right way this time.”
...
Later at night, I found Lucian standing in the moon garden, looking at the sky.
“The moon’s beautiful tonight,” I said softly.
He nodded, smiling. “It always was. I just couldn’t see it before.”
I walked and stand by his side, and for the first time in years, there was no tension in my chest
.. just peace.
“Lucian,” I said, my voice almost a whisper. “Do you think we’ll ever stop missing what we lost?”
He looked at me. “No. But maybe that’s what keeps us human. Missing someone means they mattered.”
He reached out, brushing a tear on my cheek woth his hand. “And maybe,” he said softly, “it means love never really ends.” He added.
I smiled. “Maybe it just changes.”
He nodded. “Like the moon.”
We stood together in silence...
And for the first time in so long, I felt complete, not because everything was perfect, but because everything had meaning again.
I had fulfilled my promise.
He had found redemption.
And together, we would faced the future, not as ghosts of what was, but as survivors of what could still be.
Under the silver moon, the past finally rested.
And love, reborn, learned to breathe again.
The End.
Author’s Note (From My Heart to Yours)
To everyone who reached the end of this wonderful journey of Elara and her prodigy. I said "thank you."
From Elara’s courage to Blayze’s strength, from Acheron’s sacrifice to Misty’s tragedy, and through the lives of their descendants, Liora, Keal, Aurelie, and Lucian. This story has been a long road of love, pain, forgiveness, and healing. Each of them carried a piece of my heart, and I’m so grateful that you carried them too.
Writing this book wasn’t just about warewolves, goddess, or magic. It was about it's people, about the parts of us that break, learn, and rise again. You’ve seen them fall. You’ve seen them love even when it hurt. You’ve seen them fight for peace in a world that tried to take everything from them. And if you made it here, to the end, it means you believed in them the way I did.
I want to thank you for your patience, your comments, and your time. Thank you for letting me tell this story my way, even when it got messy or emotional. Thank you for pointing out my mistakes and helping me grow. I’m still learning, still improving, and every message, every reader, every word shared means the world to me.
This isn’t the end, not really. (It is for this book) But I've already started a new book and I hope you’ll be there to see it.
Much love,
Mia
