Chapter 49

The Luna Ceremony Part Two

Everything was getting to me all at once. I didn't even want to eat lunch any more. “Don't worry little cousin you have more than just your wolf side remember you also have your pixie powers.” I sat there for a minute thinking about what he said. “What do you mean? The only power that I know that I have is a light ball and that is not really going to do me any good if Logan starts a battle.”

“No, that is not the only power that you have” I looked at him in disbelief. “huh?” was the only thing I could say. “Okay try this, close your eyes and think about coffee. You do like coffee right?” I giggled to myself. “Does a bear shit in the woods?”

“Alright then, think about how you want it made. Once you’ve done that, open your eyes and pick someone in the room to do our biddings.” I opened my eyes and looked directly at Claria. She is a helper wolf. Instantly she stopped what she was doing and began making a cup of coffee. When she brought it over to me Shane looked at me confused.

“Did you ask her for coffee?” he asked. “Not exactly” was the only answer I could give as we sat at the table. “You will have to explain to me later.” I nodded to let him know I would. I thanked Claria who looked just as confused as Shane did. “That little cousin is what we call manipulation, a great power we possess. It works for other things as well. Not just coffee.” I let what Melakie said sink in. Then the dread of tonight also crept up on me.

“Tonight might get crazy if Logan decides to attack us…” I needed to let Melakie know that he had a chance to back out. That he didn't have to be there with me. “Don't worry about anything, little cousin. I promised I would be there, and know that I also vow to protect you. Your family. So please don't let the what if’s of tonight ruin your night. Alright?” I began to tear up. He has no idea how happy it makes me to have a blood family member here by my side. He grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze as extra reassurance.

Once lunch was over it was time to start getting ready for the ceremony. I excused myself as the clean up crew came in working their magic to turn this seconds ago busy lunch room into a food prep station for the celebration. I reached our room and took the dress out of the closet. I laid it on the bed and just looked at it. It was a dark wine glammed out formal dress. It had a lace applique beaded cape. The dress was sleeveless with the back of the dress having a laced up look. It was something out of a fairy tale.

Also with becoming the Luna you get two helpers kind of like the Alphas Beta and Gamma but for a Luna. So as I took my shoes that matched the dress out of the box, there was a knock on the door. “Come in!” I shouted and when the door opened I was in complete shock. “Hello Sierra!” My jaw hit the floor. “Serinity?!?!” I said I was a bit confused. I never expected to see her again, unless it had to do with the shop. “Yep, that's me.”

“What are you doing here?” I asked, having not a clue as to why or how she was here. “Well long story short, I am here to help you.” She came further into the room and shut the door behind her. “You're a werewolf?” I didn't mean to be so blunt when I asked but I was completely clueless. “No Luna, I am not, far from it actually, I am Melakie’s wife.”

“What the hell?” She is my cousin’s wife?! When the hell did all of this happen. I was just with her in my shop giving her a job. “Let me explain, we found out you were the lone survivor of your pack's attack, besides your male parent. I was sent to keep an eye on you and help keep you safe from Logan. But when you left to go and live with Shane, I returned back home. I was hoping you would call about the bakery…”

“But I never did…”

“Right, however, when Shane contacted Melakie about helping you with your pixie powers I knew I could be of use.” I thought about it for a minute. “How could you be of help? If you don't mind me asking.”

“Well in our kingdom I would be your right hand, so I decided to be that here in this realm as well.” I was frozen in shock. That makes her my Beta here. “Does Shane know that you are here?” It was quiet for a moment. “No, but I am sure that Melakie will tell him.” I nodded. “So what do you want to help with?” Serinity looked around and smiled. “Today I am here to help you get ready for the ceremony. And to protect you if that need arises.”

“Oh, well I have a question for you…”

“Ask away…”

“Do we have the same powers? Like Melakie and I have?” It was quiet again in the room and Serinity put her head down. “No, because I am not royal like you both are.” I guess what she was saying made sense, at least I was hoping that she was being honest with me. With this whole Logan issue and finding out I have family, then finding out the assistant baker I was going to hire for the bakery is actually a pixie and is married to my cousin…. I don't know if anything that is being said to me is true. I just have to use my gut instinct to lead with. It is the only thing that I have right now anyway.

“I promise in time Sierra that all of this will make sense.”

Getting ready went by like a blur. I was stuck on the fact that I have yet another family member of mine. Even if she is only related by marriage. However, the even weirder part was that I hired her to be part of my bakery. That was all before any of this craziness happened. It didn't take very long to get ready but it felt really good to have someone I knew I could trust here with me. Hair and makeup were on point. I was feeling less like a Luna and more royal in this dress than I have ever felt in my whole life.

Once I was completely ready it was time for me to go and see Shane. I approached Shane’s office where he was getting ready with his Beta and Gamma. Serinity knocked on the office door. “Come in!” Shane shouted from the inside. She opened the door and walked ahead of me. She was going to announce me to the room.

“Alpha, Beta and Gamma, It is an honor to introduce you all to your Luna and our Queen, Sierra.” That was my que to walk into the room. When I entered everyone's mouths hung open in shock. “Is it bad?!” I was unable to read everyone. “No my love, I knew the dress was beautiful but it is nothing compared to you in the dress. You are stunning.” The Beta and Gamma also said very nice things to me and how I looked. I felt so special. After a few more compliments and Shane twirling me around to get the “full view” it was finally time to head down to our table next to the stage and start greeting guests.

All the tables were decorated with white table cloths and gold plates, silverware and cups. There were also small centerpieces at each table that had roses the same color as my dress. Everything looked so elegant just for me. I feel so special. Shane has no idea how much all this means to me. I looked over at him and he locked eyes with me. I smiled and turned my head away. He used his hand to bring my face back towards him as our eyes locked again. “Sierra, nothing makes me happier than to see you smile. I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart. And nothing or no one can ever come between that. Okay?” I nodded as the tears started to form in my eyes. I was beyond happy. And at this moment I didn't give a shit about Logan. I didn't even care that he was going to be here. I was surrounded by love. I was wanted and I was incharge. This was my night and I will do whatever I need to to keep it a happy gathering. I will not let him ruin it. No matter what.
