Chapter 206
Wait a second, why is he smiling like that?
“You should definitely join the office like an intern,” Azel said, noticing my expression. He cleared his throat and stopped smiling before I got suspicious, but I was already suspicious. 
“It will make you learn a few basic things about the office, which will be helpful when you join the office after a few years,” he added, and it made Dad nod his head. He agreed with him. 
“Yes, even Azel used to work during his break at the office, and even Kevin does it. He will join the office when he is back from college for vacation,” Dad said while looking at me. I bite my lower lip. I know they used to do it. I took a deep breath. 
“I will think about it,” I said, and it made Dad nod his head, but Azel was expecting me to say yes, but he didn't say anything at the moment. We had breakfast together, and then Dad left for work, and we went back home. Azel was going to work after dropping me home. He kissed me on my lip before I could get out of the car. 
“An internship is a good opportunity. Say yes,” he whispered on my lips before pecking them again. 
“Why do you want me to join it?” I asked while looking at him. He smiled when I asked that question. 
“We will get to be together all day till you are here. Once you leave for college. I don't know what I will do. Probably I will go crazy missing you,” he said while looking into my eyes. I will go crazy missing him. I have got used to his presence around me. God, I don't know what I will do alone there. A heavy feeling engulfed my heart. I took a deep breath. 
“I will think about it,” I said and then kissed his nose before getting out of the car. I waved at him before walking into the home. I went straight to my room and slumped on the bed. Azel is right. I should say yes. We will get to spend more time together till I'm here. I know how busy he gets when he works. At least I will get to see him at the office. I don't even get bored and have more time to spend with him. It's not a bad deal. I will say yes when he comes back from the office. I had nothing to do, so I decided to watch a series to pass the time. I got so engrossed in it that I didn't even realise when it was almost dinner time. A maid called me for dinner. That's when I came to know what time it was. I got out of bed and stretched my body from side to side. 
“Why is Azel still not back?” I mumbled, looking at the wall clock in our room. He is so late today. I decided to call him. I dialled his number, but it was showing out of reach. My brows furrowed even more. I went down with my cell phone still in my hand. Everyone was waiting for me at the table. 
“Where is Azel?” I asked his mother while taking my seat. 
“He has gone for a site visit. He will be late,” she told me, and my brows furrowed even more. 
“At least he should answer my calls. I have been calling him,” I said with a pout on my lips. She chuckled when I said that. 
“The site is out of the city, so there is a network problem. Don't worry; he will call you once he gets into the network area,” she told me, and I had no choice but to nod my head. I hope he calls me soon or comes back sooner. I am so used to his clinging to me all day. I exhaled and ate my dinner with the rest of my family. After dinner, I decided to spend time with Grandma. I was not interested anymore in watching the series. 
“Any, you both ran to your father, hiding behind his legs,” Grandma said, and I laughed loudly. She was telling me all the mischief Kevin and I used to do when we were little. 
“Azel was so mad because you both spoiled his birthday cake,” she said with a small chuckle. She was telling me a story about how we ruined Azel's birthday cake. I still have photos of that day. Kevin and I had chocolate cake smeared on our faces, and Azel was glaring at us with teary eyes. 
“You both had made my poor Azel go through so many troubles,” Grandma said while looking at our picture in her hands. We were lying down on the bed while I was hugging her tightly. We indeed. If someone were in his place, they would have hated me, but that madman loved me like a crazy person. She continued telling me our stories, and I don't know when my eyes became heavy, and I ended up falling asleep. I felt Grandma patting my back, making me fall deep asleep. I was lost deep in my sleep when I felt someone picking me up. My body recognised his touch even in my sleep. I took a deep breath and snuggled into his chest. He held me more firmly against his chest. 
“When did she fall asleep?” I heard him asking someone. His hands were holding me firmly. 
“Two hours ago,” I heard Grandma saying to him. Yes, I was sleeping in Grandma's room. He hummed slowly. 
“Good night, Grandma,” he said to her before walking out of the room. He carried me to my room while I was half asleep. He put me in bed and covered me. I slightly opened my eyes to see him still in his work clothes. It means he came straight to find me after coming from the office. He walked into the bathroom to change, and after a few minutes, he joined me in bed. He pulled me to his chest, and I snuggled more. 
“Azel”, I mumbled his name under my breath enough for him to hear it. He hummed in response while kissing my head. I decided to tell him my decision. 
“I have decided to join as an intern.”
