Chapter 207
“I have decided to join as an intern.” 
“What, really?” he asked, as if not believing me. He knows how much I don't like to work during my vacation. It's not the first time Dad has asked me to join as an intern. He wanted me to know the work. It was his way of making me ready for the world when he won't be here for me. He stopped asking me after I got married because he knew there was Azel to take care of me, but he also wants me to be my own person. In the past, I refused because I wanted to enjoy my vacation to the fullest, doing nothing. After all, once I returned to the hostel, my life became so busy. All those score practices and endless classes tired me out so much. But now I will go to college, and I need to get ready to face the world once I graduate from college, so I decided to be an intern at our office. It will keep me busy, and it comes with a bonus point. I will get more time to spend with Azel before I leave. 
“Hmm,” I hummed with my eyes still closed. I could feel him looking down at me with surprise.
“I’m so happy,” he said and started to press kisses all over my face. I knew he would be happy. A smile formed on my face. He snuggled his face into my chest like a baby. My hands moved to his hair, and I kept caressing it. Once again I drifted back to sleep with him sleeping on my chest. In the morning, I kept a peck on my lips, but I was deep in sleep. So I turned around and slept facing the other side. I woke up late in the morning only to find myself sleeping alone. 
“Where is Azel?” I mumbled under my breath in my morning voice. My brows furrowed. Did he already leave for work? I took a deep breath and got out of bed. I took a shower and went down to have some breakfast. Aunty had made eggs and toast for me. She then brought fresh orange juice for me. There were servants in the house, but she was the one who made me my food and brought it to me every time. She likes to feed me a lot more than her children. 
“Drink this,” she said while keeping the glass beside my plate. She took a seat beside me. She started to apply butter to the toast for me. 
“Azel told me you said yes to join as an intern at the office,” she said while placing the toast on my plate. 
“Yes,” I said and still nodded my head while munching on toast. She even makes simple toast so tasty. 
“Good. You should learn new things,” she said while placing one more toast on my plate. 
“I am full,” I said while looking at her, but she moved her head. 
“Last one,” she said with a smile which I couldn't refuse. I pouted but nodded my head anyway. 
“Good girl,” she caressed my head with motherly love, making me smile. 
“Do you have clothes to wear for the office?” she asked, and my eyes widened. I didn't think of it. My wardrobe consists of crop tops and jeans. 
“I have nothing formal to wear to the office,” I said while looking at her with wide eyes. She chuckled looking at my face. She knew I had nothing formal to wear. 
“We will go shopping after you’re done eating,” she said, tucking my hair behind my ear. A smile formed on my lips. The thought that I needed formal clothes for the office didn't cross my mind. 
“Aunty, if you were not there for me, what would I have done?” I said while moving forward and hugging her with half-eaten toast still in my hand. She chuckled when I said that. 
“What would I have done if you were not in my life, my baby?” she said while hugging me back tightly. It made me chuckle. 
“I love you so much,” I said while swinging our bodies slightly, making her chuckle. 
“I love you more,” she said while still caressing my back lovingly. 
“Now I know where my share of love is going. You are giving Metra love to Luna and ignoring me,” Uncle said while walking to us. I broke the hug and grinned at him before kissing Aunty on the cheeks to make him jealous. 
“She is my wife,” the uncle said and then kissed my auntie’s other cheek. 
“Have some shame,” she said while slapping his arm playfully. It made both of us chuckle. It looked like he was back from golf. He took a seat in front of us. 
“Azel informed me you are joining as an intern,” he said, and I nodded my head while eating the rest of the toast. 
“I am taking her shopping after breakfast for office clothes,” she told him, and he decided to join us because it's been so long since we went shopping together. I remember Kevin and I often used to go shopping with them. Azel joined us some time, but most of the time it was Kevin and me. We used to have a lot of fun. We both used to throw a fuss together and act like brats if we didn't get anything. Uncle used to buy us something every day. It was the main reason why Dad sent me to the hostel. He saw I was becoming a stubborn brat because I used to get all the things even with a small pout. I was a spoiled princess. Still, I am, but now I know not to be stubborn anymore. 
“I will get ready and come down in fifteen minutes,” I said excitedly after I was done eating breakfast. I turned around and started running. 
“Careful,” Uncle shouted when he saw how fast I was climbing up the stairs. I was too excited to go shopping with them after ages. I'm going to send pictures to Kevin. I smiled evilly. 
He is going to be so jealous.
