CHAPTER 14. BLACK WEREWOLF ATTACK
That night, Sandra's presence in the halls of a five-star hotel to celebrate the anniversary of Compaya Group, the company founded by her father, brings not only glamor but also pent-up resentment. As she steps into the luxurious room, her eyes cannot avoid the sight of her ex-husband, Alex, and his new wife, Sarah.
In an attempt to hide her hurt feelings, Sandra let out a long sigh repeatedly. Reassuring herself that everything would be fine, there was nothing to worry about. However, the faint smile she flashed among the elite guests, contrasted with her heart struggling in sadness. Her decision to accept the invitation now felt like a big mistake, and the regret deepened.
Trying to maintain composure, Sandra begins a formal conversation with her father's guests. However, the silence was broken when her younger sister, Sarah, approached in a striking Green dress. Ironically, Sarah looked so happy and warm.
"I'm so glad you're back safely," Sarah said with an angelic smile, Sandra didn't want to be fooled by her annoying sister's theatrics.
"Really? Not the other way around, you're very disturbed by my presence tonight," Sandra replied voicing her disapproval.
Sarah wrinkled her forehead in annoyance, but the woman was good at hiding her emotions in front of the guests. "Don't talk like that. People will misunderstand, and think that we're siblings who don't get along."
A bitter exchange of words began to take place, bringing out the tension between the two. Sarah, however, was not afraid to put her arms around Sandra, as if they were on good terms. Unable to stand Sarah's pretense, Sandra threw her sister's arm violently. Had there been no guests around, she might have broken the impudent hand.
"What kind of sister would take his sister's husband? Even a dog doesn't bite its master after being well cared for." Sandra's scathing words were like a knife piercing Sarah's pride.
"SHUT YOU UP!" Sarah screamed, losing her self-control. Sandra had to get a rough push to make her stagger back, bumping into a waiter who was passing by with a tray of drinks. The sound of breaking glass stopped everything, grabbing the attention of all the guests, and creating chaos.
The originally dazzling blue long dress was now stained by the spilled drink, creating a red trail.
"You - ." Sandra clenched her fists, ready to hit Sarah back. But her common sense was still there not to mess up the party.
With her head bowed, Sandra left the party with hasty steps. The woman headed for the toilet, to clean the remnants of the drink on her clothes. During the trip, Sandra endlessly cursed Sarah's actions, and she even avenged her sister's actions after the party was over.
"I really can't help myself anymore, if only -." Sandra no longer continued her words, even the woman no longer continued her footsteps. She felt the cold air that enveloped the place. Not to mention a shadow flashed from behind her body.
"Is it just me? As someone passed behind me," Sandra's mind hugged herself who was shivering from the cold.
Slowly and horrified she looked back and saw nothing, everything looked normal. Sandra accelerated her steps into the toilet while trying to get rid of all negative thoughts.
However, still, the horror could not disappear completely, it even got worse. It could be seen from the woman's body language that seemed to stiffen every time she heard the squeak of the toilet door. She even cleaned the stains on her clothes carelessly. Suddenly, a noise was heard from outside the toilet, and Sandra jumped in shock and fell limply on the toilet floor.
Her body shook violently with cold sweat running down her smooth forehead. Her heart was pumping hard after remembering all the terror she had received so far. The situation now was very tense, almost like in a horror movie.
But she had no choice but to check the situation outside rather than being cooped up in that place. With stealthy steps, she approached the main door, opening it slightly to take a peek at what still seemed quiet.
"What was I thinking? Come on Sandra, you don't have to be afraid," she said strengthening her little guts.
With a sigh of relief, Sandra walked out of the toilet, but after only a few steps she stopped again. A liquid dripped over her head. The beautiful face stiffened, slowly looking up at the ceiling of the hotel.
Seen up there is a terrible creature resembling a beast, grinning with drool dripping from the slits of its fangs. Suddenly Sandra screamed loudly, along with the attack of a werewolf-shaped creature. Her slender body lay on the floor as a result of being crushed by the huge body of a creature with pitch black fur, with blood red eyes.
In between her fear, Sandra tried to escape, but her strength was no match for the creature. It seems that the demon's hand is raised by showing off sharp nails, ready to tear Sandra's body parts.
At the same time, a black shadow appeared suddenly, hitting the werewolf's body hard, until the hotel wall collapsed due to the hitm shadow's action. Dragging the werewolf away from Sandra's sight. Sandra also used this opportunity to escape. Barefoot, she ran down the hotel hallway to the banquet venue.
All the guests present were stunned, when Sandra broke through in a state of chaos. The woman looked pale as she screamed hysterically for her father. "Help me, Dad!"
"What happened?" asked James to his daughter who was sitting limply in the middle of the room.
"That thing wants to kill me, Dad! It's after my life! It's here!" she whimpered through her tears.
"Calm yourself! Explain slowly so I can understand," James admonished hugging his daughter's trembling body.
"It can't be, Father! That demon will definitely appear, and it will - " Sandra's body wavered first before finishing her words.
"Wake up, Sandra! Open your eyes, child!" he said while shaking his daughter's body to regain consciousness.
