Chapter 11 Mira Chen

Chapter 11 Mira Chen
ZARA'S POV

"Finally you're awake." Mira says to me.

"Awake? What happened?" I question now confused.

"Where's she?"

"Who?" Mira asks till typing away on her laptop like a crazy person.

"The girl that looks like me. I remember seeing her before I saw black." I said utterly confused.

"You must be seeing things.

"Heck, I thought the blog rumours lied when they said that you were another set of crazy." She said making my mouth hang low in shock.

"This has to be a mistake." I said.

"I know what I saw."

"Look whatever you think you saw. I don't know.

"But keep me out of it." Mira said sternly flipping strands of her braids from her face.

"And tell lover boy to stop distracting me with his steps." She says giving me a sly smile.

That's when I notice another figure in the room. Kai.

"He's not — I pause.

"I'm no one's lover boy." He warns throwing a glare her way.

Mira just huffs and continues facing her work doing whatever it i she does.

"What are you doing in my room?"

"It's against the academy rules." I said now being flustered.

"An unsaid rule that has been broken over and over again." He responded as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Even so!" I exclaimed.

"I kinda sensed that something was wrong with you earlier on." He said.

I pause, not knowing what to respond to him. I just played with my hair twirls not knowing what else to say.

"How're you feeling? He asks.

"That's really none of your business." I put it out there.

"And you should get out of my room."

He looked at me for a minute before shaking his head and walking to leave the room. My face fell. I didn't mean it that way.

"When someone tries to actually care about you, you should let them do just that." He blurted out before slamming the door in my face.

I squirmed on the bed as memories came flooding into my mind. Time of how people would slam doors in my face just because they were pissed pr maybe for the love of seeing me squirm. It was just too much and I screamed loudly. The walls began to shake, our room door started rattling.

"Don't fucken do this again!" Mira screamed bringing me out of the voodoo that I had just started.

Then I heard myself say;

"You can't control your emotions."

It wasn't me talking but rather my reflection.

"What do you want from me?" I asked now staring deep into her eyes.

"Such a pity!" She exclaimed.
"Who are you talking to?" Mira asked.

I ignored her thinking she was acting out a prank.

"What do you really want from me?" I asked my reflection.

"Who are you talking to Zara?" Mira asked again.

This time no form of laughter in her voice.

She was dead serious. At that point, my reflection was no longer in the room.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I asked who you were talking to and you're asking me what I mean?" She said, quite pissed off.
"It must have been in my head." I responded silently, lowering my gaze to the floor.

"She can't see me. Neither should you also be seeing me." My reflection whispered into my ears.

It felt like she was real. It seemed real. But again, maybe I'm just imagining things since I crave affection from just anyone.

"Keep your emotions in check lest you do something you will regret." She said before her voice ceased.

Mira had gone back to her table, shaking her head in disbelief.

"You know we could be really good friends." She finally said after a few minutes of silence.

Friends? I didn't even know what that meant till I met Kai. But even himself told me to not trust anyone. Did I really want to go down that path again. I didn't think so.

"Heyy... Are you even listening to me?" She retorted.

I shake my head, pushing myself out of the thoughts that were brewing in my mind.

"Why do you want to be friends with me?" I asked.

"Because, you seem to be a cool person." She responded.

That seemed like a good enough answer. I really needed someone I could talk to about everything going on with me. Baby steps right?

"Let's start over then..." I paused.

"I'm Zara Night, once an Omega now apparently an elite student." I said introducing myself to her.

"I'm Mira Chen, a tech wolf." She simply said.

"We should head to bed now. It's quite late." I responded as I grabbed my duvet to cover up myself.

"I have something to finish up before sleeping." She stated, slowly returning her face to her system.

The windows were slightly open to allow the night breeze in whilst we slept. My mind kept wondering back to Kai. I should really apologize. I didn't mean to push him out, I just had enough of everything at that moment. With that resolution, I stood up from my bed and changed into a pink short with a hoodie.

"Where are you heading to? It's curfew time." Mira said.

"I'll be discreet. I need to meet someone." I responded.

"Lover boy?" She asked.

I didn't respond. It was quite obvious even for a fool to know. I just covered up my face with a small mask as I slipped out of the room.

"Kai... I want to see you." I sent through a mind link.

I hoped it worked. I didn't fully understand my situation in the pack at this point since I turned into that creature a few nights back. I didn't know what worked and didn't work out for me.

"East wing." He responded.

As an Omega, I had become used to hiding away from the eyes of everyone. I knew the dark spots to avoid cameras and I followed that maze till I got to the East wing. I was grabbed gently before a hand covered my mouth to prevent me for screaming.

His smell hit me even before he spoke.
"I'm sorry for how I left earlier on." He apologized letting go of the hand that covered my mouth.

"I'm sorry too." He apologized.

We were still locked in a hug. My back to his front with his hand loosely wrapped around my waist. I felt my other side, my wolf leaning into him. We stood in front of a glass wall where we could see our reflections with the small moonlight that flashed on the wall.

His eyes were hooded with lust as I leaned further into him.

"I had those visions again." He said.

"I've not had them for a minute." I responded.

"They seemed so real." He said gently rocking me.

"Maybe it's someone else's vision." I said even though it didn't sound real to my hearing.

He leaned down to bite my earlobe earning a soft moan from my lips.

"I do love how you relax into me." He said making me smile.

His alarm beeped.

"That's my cue to go." I said before creating a distance between us.

My head was fuzzy, drifting between lust and my sanity. The emotions were hitting me strong and I was at the verge of crying. My wolf whimpered within me. The rush of heat that pulled between my legs began to form slightly cramps in my tummy.

"You're about to enter your heat season." He said.

"Fuck... Return to your room." He ordered, the alpha male in him coming out like a growl.

I couldn't help myself but obey as I slowly began to turn back to the direction I came from.

"I don't trust Mira Chen." He said.

When I turned back to look at him and ask questions, he was already gone.
