Chapter 71 Beasty Babes.

Chapter 71 Beasty Babes.
Lily’s pov.
Raya parked the SUV in a huge parking lot right outside the children’s store.

There’s a massive sign hanging up that says “beasty babes” which makes me chuckle.

“Beasty babes?” I say while looking at Raya.

She laughs and nods her head, “they have one of these at almost every supernatural place. Tribe, packs, covens. It’s really the only stuff our children won’t rip to shreds within the first day. Are you ready to go inside?”

As we climb out of the car and walk towards the front doors I get a link from Creed.

‘Sweetheart?’ I hear him whisper into my mind, causing goosebumps to erupt over my arms.

‘What do you want, Creed,’ I say, trying to keep the excitement out of my voice.

‘I-I just wanted to know how you’re doing?’ He whispers again, making me feel kind of angry.

He should know how I’m feeling after running out on me this morning.

‘I don’t know, Creed. I’ll talk to you when I get home,’ I say before I cut off our link.

I let out the breath I didn’t even realize I was holding and sigh.

“What’s wrong?” Raya asks while nudging my shoulder with hers.

“Creed mindlinked me. I don’t know, he’s clueless or something,” I mumble while tears slip out of my eyes.

“Hey, it’s okay. Let’s not jump to conclusions! Come on, let’s go get our babies their stuff!” She says with a smile, leading me into the store.

What I didn’t expect was all of the adorable baby clothes in here.

“Wow,” I say in a whisper, looking around with wide eyes.

“It’s pretty crazy, yeah. I remember when my mother thought she was pregnant and she brought me to one of these stores and I was shocked at everything they had,” Raya chuckles, “now I have my own children to shop for.”

We walked up and down every aisle grabbing almost one of everything.

Bottles, pacifiers, bibs, bowls, plates, spoons, sippy cups, breastfeeding pillows, long sleeve onesies, short sleeve onesies, two way zipper sleepers, button up sleepers, little sweatpants and little tights. We even grabbed little booties and mits.

“Wow! These are so cute…” I whisper as I grab a sapphire coloured dress. It’s soft to the touch and has little ruffles on the sleeves.

I grab three in a six month size and move along to the next row of stuff.

Just a few rows down I spotted a pair of black dragon booties and had to get them. They reminded me of Creed and our little baby boy could wear them.

“Oh my goddess!” I hear Raya gush, “look at these!”

She holds up two pairs of little baby hats with wolves on them.

“That’s adorable!” I say with a laugh, enjoying the little shopping spree we are on.

After filling two shopping carts full of stuff we decided to call it quits and leave before we bought the entire store.

“Will this be all for you, your majesty?” The young woman at the counter asks with a huge smile on her face.

“Yes,” I replied, “for now!”

She rang us through and even helped us carry all of our things to the SUV.

“I think I grabbed way too many girl things, I don’t even know if I’m having a girl!” Raya laughs as we pull out of the parking lot.

“Don’t worry, we know I’m having three. Worst case my girls can have the girl stuff and I’ll share the boy stuff I got. And it’s not like we can’t go and get more,” I say, thinking about what Creed is doing right now.

“Do you think Glenda would check us out in the morning?” She asked suddenly.

“I don’t see why not. I’m sure she'll love nothing more,” I say with a smile, totally on board with that idea.

We talked absentmindedly about the things we bought today until we arrived right outside the tribe house.

“I must say it’s pretty amazing how we ended up here together,” Raya says with a smile as she’s looking at me, “we get to raise our children together like how we were raised together, except we’ll do even better than our parents.”

“It is pretty amazing. I never thought you’d be Mayes to Creed's best friend!” I chuckle, “we even live in the same house!”

Raya laughs loudly making me laugh loud too.

“Shall we go back to our mates now?” Raya says with a small smile.

“Yeah,” I whisper, “we probably should.”

“I’ll help you bring the bags to your room before I go back to mine,” she offers, making me shrug my shoulders.

“Sure, that would help. There’s way too many for me to carry myself,” I say.

We get out of the SUV and start grabbing the piles and piles of bags in the back.

Once our hands and arms were full we started to make our way to Creed and I’s room.

Along the way omegas gave us confused looks and one even offered to take the bags from us but we refused saying we could handle it.

I’m not from a tribe let alone a royal family, I’m still getting used to other people wanting to do everything for me.

As we got outside my room I gave Raya a grateful smile, “thanks for the help, just let me get the door and you can leave them in the doorway.”

I placed a few bags down to free my hand so I could open the door, as I opened it the sight in front of me had me gasping.

I drop the remaining bags I’m holding and look around. He had a vase full of lilies beside my bed with a tray of food. Rose petals like the floor going all the way into the bathroom.

“I will leave you to it,” Raya whispers into my ear with a giggle, placing the bags she’s holding down before closing the door behind me.

“Oh, Creed,” I whisper as tears slip out of my eyes.

“I’m so sorry, Lily. I never meant to hurt you this morning, that was never what I wanted!” Creed's quick to explain, cupping my face with his hands.

“We have a lot to talk about, don’t we?” I say with a laugh.

“We do,” Creed agrees with a lopsided grin, nodding his head.
