Chapter 107 Happy Life
Chapter 107 Happy Life
Lily’s pov.
“How were they while I was… away?” I asked Raya as she sat beside me with Wren and Aspin in her arms.
She smiled down at them before looking towards me, “they were great, honestly. Creed was a little stressed… but I was there, helping as much as I could.”
“Thank you, I really appreciate all of your help. And I don’t blame anyone for what happened to Mazikeen… it was a desperate attempt. But they did not succeed…” I say softly, looking towards Creed who is forcing me to rest while he cares for the babies.
I smile to myself, grateful for my wonderful mate.
“I’d do anything for you Lily,” Raya replies while standing up, “I’m going to go help Creed for a bit, it looks like he’s struggling.”
We both chuckle as she walks away, placing her sons down to help with Thena, Juni and Maze.
Max clutched tightly to Creed’s chest, not wanting him to let him down.
Extremely attached to his dad since the last few days I was… gone.
“Are you sure I can’t help?” I ask Creed, laughing as he struggles to put Max down to change him.
“Yup!” He mumbled, his hair a mess and his shirt stained with milk and spit up, “I’m good! Everything’s fine!”
I groan as I get out of bed, walking towards them and grabbing a diaper.
I walk over to Creed, giving him a look.
He sighs before moving over, letting me come over in front of Max.
“Hello, mommy’s little boy, can you be good and still for me?” I say in a baby voice, putting his diaper on quickly.
“He’s like a different baby with you,” Creed mutters, running a hand down his face.
“Why don’t you go back to our room and rest?” I say, looking at him with a sad smile, knowing how exhausted he must be.
“I don’t know…” he says nervously, looking around at our babies.
“Don’t do that,” I mumble, glaring at him slightly, “I am their mother. They will be fine…”
He looks at me with a tired frown, walking over and placing a kiss on my cheek.
“It’s not that, sweetheart… I just haven’t been away from them yet. I- I’ve barely slept…” he says quietly, looking over my shoulder at Max who’s fallen asleep.
“Okay… I think I'll rest for a bit. But wake me up if I’m out for long! Okay?” He says, wrapping me up in a quick hug.
“Go! I’ll wake you if I need to!” I laughed while playfully shoving him towards the door.
Wanting to talk to Raya alone.
“Would you mind leaving for a bit?” Raya asks Ryan suddenly, reading my mind.
“Of course, babe,” he replies while kissing her on the forehead, “link me when you want me to come back, okay?”
“Okay,” she sighs contently, smiling up at him as he leaves the room with Creed.
“So,” she says as she turns her body towards me, “what do you want to talk about?”
She looks at me expecting an answer.
“When I spoke to the goddess… she had told me she had to take some of my powers away from all of the dark magic I had used, I guess I’m just feeling like a shell of myself? And Mazikeen… oh how scared I was when I saw that maid poison her. I just feel… angry. At everything,” I ramble out, getting everything off of my mind.
Looking at Raya to see her reaction.
“Wow,” she said with wide eyes, a look of intrigue on her face, “what was she like? The goddess?”
I sigh to myself as I think back to her realm.
“She was ethereal… She was so beautiful and kind. Just like you’d imagine she’d be. She had gorgeous black hair that went past her hips, with the brownest eyes you’ve ever seen. She had scars along her legs, and a wolf howling at the moon on her lower back where her gold open back dress showed. I saw Sapphire there too, it was an unnatural feeling to see her that way,” I say, thinking back to what I saw there, just in as much awe as Raya is in right now.
Wishing Sapphire could be beside me right now.
“That’s insane… I can’t believe you met the goddess!” She shouts excitedly, wincing as she wakes Aspin up.
Quickly rubbing her finger down his nose to calm him down, getting him to fall back asleep.
“It was definitely something else… but I don’t think it’s something I’d want to experience again,” I admit, more to myself than her, “it was… different there. Time felt slow there, only a few hours there were days here, I didn’t even realize I was gone for long till the goddess warned me. Seeing through that double sided mirror… watching scared out of my mind as my daughter drank from a poisoned bottle and there was nothing I could do to save her… I didn’t really care that I lost most of my powers. All I wanted was to save my daughter.”
“I would do the same as you…” she whispers, looking at me while nodding her head, “I’d do anything for these children, I’ve grown to love all of them so much. I’ve always wondered about the goddess and her realm. I always thought it was so cool… I could never share anything with you unfortunately. Now that you speak of her and her realm though, I don’t think I ever want to go there. I think I’m good here, where I belong.”
I look towards all of our children.
Juni, sleeping soundly in her bassinet beside Maze and Thena.
Little Max who’s fingers are wrapped around mine.
I smile, loving this new life Creed and I created together.
Our own happily ever after.
