Chapter 227
Chapter 227
James saw the William's nicotine craving kick in. He kicked Steven in the back and cursed,
"Didn't you hear what Mr. Morgan just asked you? Are you a hacker?"
This question completely stumped Steven. An old man with one foot in the grave like him—how would he know anything about that? He had to call his secretary over just to help him with documents at the company.
Steven answered with a trembling voice,
"Mr. Morgan, I'm not a hacker!"
William could've guessed that with his eyes closed. He knew exactly how much this old fool had upstairs—he could only play dirty tricks in business at best.
"Is there anyone else in the house?" William asked.
Steven's eyes darted around as he answered without confidence,
"No, no one. Just me at home."
William blew out a series of smoke rings and signaled with his eyes for the bodyguards to search the place.
The five burly men immediately understood and spread out to search different parts of the house. Before they found anything on this floor, the sound of something falling came from a bedroom upstairs.
James led the way up. What he found at the bedroom door left him completely stunned.
Two young women were frantically putting on their clothes. Scattered on the floor were several torn pieces of women's underwear, used toys, used condoms, and erectile dysfunction pills.
This directly shattered James's already terrible impression of that old bastard. Wasn't this old fool supposed to have one foot in the grave?
Good lord, playing around like this and not afraid of dropping dead. An old man who gets winded going up stairs actually got two young girls at once. James was absolutely shocked.
The two women hadn't finished getting dressed yet and were covering their bodies with blankets, looking terrified.
James couldn't connect these two women with hackers no matter how hard he tried.
When they arrived, Steven was obviously doing unspeakable things with these two women—how could he have time to hack into the Morgan Group's system? It definitely wasn't them.
So where exactly was this F they were looking for?
James came downstairs with the five men,
"Mr. Morgan, nothing."
William didn't believe it. He trusted Terry's technical skills, and the map showed the location was inside this villa.
While they were talking, the two women came downstairs trembling with fear.
William looked up and glanced at them, understanding everything.
He just felt pity seeing two young girls being ruined by this old bastard - it probably wasn't voluntary, right?
What girl would willingly get intimate with this disgusting old man? His body odor alone could knock someone out. He must be holding something over them.
"How old are you two, and where do you work?"
The woman who looked slightly older spoke up,
"I'm twenty-four and work as a waitress at a bar."
The other girl lowered her head and said quietly,
"I'm seventeen, in high school."
As soon as she said this, everyone present was shocked.
Seventeen, still a minor. How could this disgusting old man bring himself to do it?
When Steven heard the girl say she was seventeen, he immediately became nervous,
"You little bitch, didn't you say you were already eighteen? Who put you up to framing me?"
Seducing a minor—how many years in prison would that be?
Steven realized he had really messed up this time. He liked them young, but he never thought this girl was only seventeen. If he had known she was a minor, he wouldn't have touched her even if you killed him.
The girl sobbed,
"I went to work part-time. The boss said you had to be an adult, so I lied and said I was eighteen."
James looked at the girl. She had delicate features and was so thin she looked malnourished, with hickeys dotting her neck. His disgust for that old bastard grew even stronger.
James softened his voice and said "Little girl, you were forced, weren't you? Whatever happened, speak up boldly. We'll stand up for you."
The little girl's eyes moved between James and William, then looked at Steven who was tied up and being kicked around like a ball. Her courage grew.
"I'm a student at Lincoln Memorial High. Because my family is poor, I took a part-time job at a hotel after school and he brought me here. He threatened me, saying if I didn't do what he wanted, he would post naked photos of me at our school gate and send them to my classmates and teachers to get me expelled."
The girl started crying as she spoke. She looked truly scared, blackmailed by this old bastard. A young girl who hadn't even entered society yet—how could she outsmart an old fox like Steven?
William said directly,
"Call the police. He'll get what he deserves."
William wasn't someone who liked to meddle in other people's business, but when he encountered something he really couldn't stand, he would step in. Besides, the villain was Steven—he still held a grudge about that old bastard slapping Ava twice at the hospital.
When Steven heard William was going to call the police, he was scared to tears,
"William, please, don't turn me over to the police. That would ruin my whole life."
At his age, with his wife gone, one child dead and one missing, his only spiritual outlet was sexual release. How could he have known he would mess up this time and find a minor?
His company's performance had been steadily rising these past few years, and he'd made some money. Once William sent him in, all his life's work would be destroyed.
Seeing William wasn't responding, Steven choked out,
"William, don't call the police. I have a secret about Ava to tell you."
Hearing the name 'Ava', a cold light flashed through William's deep eyes as he looked at Steven,
"Speak."
Steven steadied his emotions and said slowly,
"You've been looking for Ava's body, haven't you? She must have been taken away by her mother's family. Her mother was from Harmony City, her family is over there."
William narrowed his eyes. In the three years he was with Ava, he had never heard her mention having a grandmother, nor had he heard her say she had relatives in Harmony City. He couldn't tell how much of what this old bastard said was true or false.
"What you just said—if even one word is false, do you know what the consequences will be?"
Steven was so scared he trembled all over,
"Mr. Morgan, I wouldn't dare lie to you. Ava's mother was from Harmony City. After marrying me, she cut ties with her family. This was a sore spot for Ava's mother that she rarely mentioned to others. Ava had no idea she had a grandmother."
William's heart ached. No wonder he had searched through all the cemeteries in Emerald City and couldn't find Ava—she wasn't in Emerald City at all. The person protecting her was most likely from Harmony City too.
He rubbed his temples and said, "Call the police anyway!"
There was no need to keep promises with scum like Steven. He wasn't a saint—he wouldn't let him off just because of a few words from this old bastard.
Although the information the old fool provided was very useful to him, but what Steven had done today was still a crime, useful or not. These were two separate matters that couldn't cancel each other out.
James immediately dialed 911. Before long, the police arrived. Besides restraining Steven, they searched the villa inside and out several times without finding anything else suspicious, then took all three people away for questioning.
There really was no one else in the villa.
William looked at the red dot on the computer, still motionless at the location of this villa.
He suddenly realized that cunning F might have played another trick on him, creating a fake location to lead them by the nose all around Emerald City.
Damn it!
No matter what it takes, they had to catch that damn F!
