Chapter 226
Chapter 226
"Where is he?"
Terry said, "What a coincidence, he's right here in Emerald City. The map points to the Science Museum."
William clenched his fists.
"Can I keep watching this map?"
Terry nodded.
"As long as you don't close the system, you can keep this page open and track his movements."
William seemed to have made up his mind. He took the computer from Terry.
"Sorry to bother you."
He carried the computer back to his car, started the engine, and headed toward the Science Museum, making several phone calls along the way. About twenty minutes later, he arrived at the museum. James and several bodyguards were already there, waiting outside.
"Mr. Morgan, is that person really at the Science Museum?"
James looked curiously at the computer. The little red dot on the screen was precisely located inside the museum.
"Terry helped me check. There won't be any mistakes. Buy tickets and let's go catch him!'' William growled.
James counted—seven people in total including the bodyguards. He bought seven tickets, and William led the group of seven into the museum, carrying the computer.
At that moment, Samuel had used the excuse of going to the bathroom to escape Robert's watch and check on William's situation. When he opened the system, his eyes widened. On the small screen of his phone watch, William's arrow was moving toward him. Frightened, he quickly turned off the watch.
Robert was holding Sophia's hand, waiting not far from the restroom, when he saw a group of people walking past aggressively, then walking back, pacing around the area in front of the restroom several times, as if looking for someone.
When he saw who was leading them, his heart suddenly tightened. To run into this William even at a science museum—what kind of weird fate was this?
Really killed the mood.
He picked up Sophia and went to the restroom door to call Samuel. They couldn't enjoy themselves today—they had to get the two kids out of here quickly to avoid letting them run into that scumbag.
Samuel washed his hands, pretending he'd actually been using the bathroom, and came out to see Robert looking a bit tense.
"Uncle Robert, what's wrong?"
"Samuel, Sophia, I have something urgent to deal with. Let's call it a day, okay? I promise I'll bring you back to have a great time next time."
Samuel, feeling guilty, wanted to leave too even without Robert suggesting it. He nodded repeatedly.
"Uncle Robert, I'm tired. I want to go back to the hotel."
To prevent that scumbag from seeing the two children, Robert picked them both up, held them against his chest, and strode outside.
On William's side, just as the two positions on the map were about to overlap, the other person's location suddenly disappeared. He followed Terry's instructions to close and reopen the map, but only his own location showed—the other person had completely vanished.
He must have sensed danger. What a cunning F.
William's hawk-like eyes scanned everywhere in the museum but couldn't find anyone who looked like a hacker.
James led several bodyguards to search separately for suspicious people with computers in the museum. The only person they found sitting by a computer was an old man in charge of monitoring security.
Just when they were at a loss, the location appeared on the screen again. The other person had left the museum and was heading toward the Fifth Ring Road. Judging by the speed of the moving location, the person had gotten into a car.
Everyone's eyes lit up. As long as his location appeared, they wouldn't worry about finding him.
James asked,"Mr. Morgan, should we chase him?"
William agreed."Chase!"
In the MPV, Samuel nervously opened his phone watch to check and found that William was still monitoring him on the map. At the moment, he only had his phone watch modified into a mini computer, which limited his operations.
Besides, under Robert's watchful eye, he didn't dare do anything. Robert and Ava absolutely couldn't know about him provoking William.
For now, he turned off the watch to avoid being tracked.
Back at the hotel, Samuel went straight in shouting that he was tired, entered the bedroom, and locked the door.
He pulled out his computer and started typing away. He discovered that the Morgan Group's system had strengthened its protection with several firewalls, but these were just a matter of time for him.
As long as he wanted to, there was nothing he couldn't crack.
He just wanted to give William trouble and get revenge for his mom.
On William's side, the location on the map kept appearing and disappearing. They followed for a while but couldn't keep up, stopping by the roadside halfway with several people staring at the computer.
When the red dot appeared again on the computer and stayed fixed in one place, the bodyguards excitedly rolled up their sleeves.
"We're definitely catching him today."
The car started again, heading toward the little red dot. As they got closer, everyone in the car grew more anxious, wishing they could fly there to catch the person.
Finally, the car stopped in front of a villa. The map showed the location was right here.
"Mr. Morgan, we've arrived."
William got out of the car, feeling the place looked somewhat familiar but couldn't remember when he'd been here. He signaled the bodyguards to ring the doorbell.
A moment later, a man wrapped in a bathrobe came out hurriedly from inside, still tying his belt. When he saw the group of people outside, his steps froze in place.
"Mr. Morgan, why are you here?"
William was surrounded by an icy aura. He looked closely and saw the person who came out was actually Steven. No wonder the place felt familiar—he'd been here once when dropping off Sarah.
He wasn't here for a reunion. William gave the bodyguards a look, and several big men immediately rushed in and restrained the person.
Steven panicked and nearly wet himself. His old bones couldn't withstand being roughed up by these strong men.
"Mr. Morgan, please don't kill me. Ava's death was tragic, but I didn't do it. Didn't you already drive that woman crazy? Let the punishment fit the crime. I swear I never thought of harming my own daughter. Please let me go!"
The old man was already crying from fear. These past few years, he'd been keeping a low profile, afraid of attracting William's attention and ending up in prison, half-dead.
He knew well what the consequences were of offending this big shot, so he'd been keeping his tail between his legs. Who would have thought he'd still come after him, and four years after the incident.
Hearing him bring up the painful matter again naturally made William's expression ugly.
James was like a mind reader for William. At this moment, he definitely had to beat up this old bastard to vent, smash his broken mouth, and see if he dared talk nonsense again.
James: "Tie him up and teach him a lesson!"
Five bodyguards immediately took out rope and tied Steven up tight, giving him a beating until his nose bled before stopping.
William sat on the living room sofa with his long legs crossed, in the posture of someone in power.
"You old bastard, you know how to hack systems?"
Steven was thrown on the floor like a spineless dog.
"Mr. Morgan, I don't know what you're talking about, but please believe me, I'm a father, and I would never do such cruel things to my own daughter. I knew nothing about this from beginning till end. It was all that stinking woman's idea."
He was still thinking William had come to beat him up over what happened four years ago, explaining through tears, afraid William wouldn't believe him.
A beating was one thing, but he feared this devil would beat him half to death and then throw him in the ocean to feed the fish.
William narrowed his eyes and slowly pulled out a cigarette. His smoking addiction had gotten much worse these past few years, especially whenever he thought of Ava and those two babies—he'd chain-smoke several cigarettes.
