Chapter 224

Chapter 224

The two children noticed Aurora was busy, so they held hands and sneaked into the room, closing the door behind them.

Sophia whispered, "Samuel, did you see Dad?"

Samuel shook his head.

"Don't even think about it. Dad's a total jerk. We don't need him. Let's have Mommy find us a better dad."

Sophia looked confused.

"You can pick your own dad based on what you like?"

Samuel grinned. "Of course you can!"

Sophia laughed happily.

"Then I want a tall, really handsome dad who can bake strawberry cake, tell stories, and take us to amusement parks."

Samuel said, resting his chin on his hand.

"Most importantly, he has to love Mommy."

The two children were unfamiliar with the word "dad" and were actually planning to find themselves an ideal father.

That afternoon, Robert finished his business and returned to the hotel. As soon as he walked in, he asked Aurora about the two kids that morning—whether they had caused any trouble.

Aurora had promised Samuel she'd keep the morning incident from Robert and Ava, so she replied, "We went out and bought a cake this morning. Nothing special happened."

Robert took off his suit jacket and hung it on the rack, changed his shoes, and stepped into the room.

In the bedroom, Sophia was drawing with colored pencils, completely absorbed. Samuel was focused on tinkering with his computer, his little hands flying across the keyboard.

Neither child noticed Robert had returned.

"Samuel, what are you doing?"

Robert was especially curious about his nephew's computer. It was the little guy's treasure—a birthday gift from Ava for his third birthday. He had modified it later, and after the modifications, he refused to let anyone touch it. Even Ava didn't dare .

Samuel was startled by the sudden voice. He looked at Robert warily.

The code on his computer screen was still running rapidly. What he needed to do was almost complete—he couldn't let anything go wrong at the last moment.

He hugged the computer into a corner, turning the screen away from Robert, and said dismissively,

"I'm watching cartoons."

Robert put his hand to his forehead. He'd clearly seen the screen was full of letters—where were any cartoons? What was this little devil up to now?

"Samuel, let me tell you something. Just because you're talented with computers doesn't mean you can do whatever you want online. You can't post bad comments or cyberbully people, and you can't attack other people's websites and cause them losses. Be a law-abiding, moral citizen."

He knew his nephew was clever beyond his years and wouldn't be taken advantage of online. What worried him was that, at such a young age, the kid might not understand the consequences and end up doing something illegal—so he needed to give him a heads-up.

Little did Robert know—he had actually hit the nail on the head.

Samuel glanced at his screen. The program had finished executing, showing a big "success!"

He snorted and said stubbornly,

"I'm not doing that."

He was punishing a jerk for Mommy's sake—that wasn't doing something wrong.

Robert looked at his expression and felt uneasy, genuinely worried he might do something irreversible.

"Samuel, turn the computer around and let me see!"

Samuel had already finished what he needed to do, and now his attitude was completely carefree. His little hands tapped the keyboard a couple times, then he turned it around for Robert to see.

Robert saw Peppa Pig playing on the screen and laughed in exasperation. This little guy had obviously switched screens beforehand to fool him.

He put his hands on his hips, completely at a loss with this kid.

"Alright, you two—change clothes now and get ready to go out. Ava's finished with work, so we're going to the science museum ."

The two kids' eyes lit up. They dropped what they were holding, jumped over, and hugged Robert, shouting.

"Uncle Robert, we love you!"

Meanwhile, at the Morgan Group.

Starting that afternoon, employees discovered the company's time clock system had problems, and the access control wouldn't unlock either.

No matter who stood in front of the time clock, the screen showed an image of Peppa Pig making faces. HR couldn't access the system from the backend either—the username and password were completely ineffective.

Now the entire Morgan Group was in chaos. Employees couldn't get in or out. It was almost quitting time—what would they do if they couldn't go home?

The matter quickly reached James. He knocked on the CEO's office door holding several files.

"Mr. Morgan, our company's time clock system has been hacked. The access control won't open now."

William's eyes sharpened as he looked at James.

"Who did it?"

James told the truth.

"Whoever hacked our system is an expert. Our network security department is still trying to fix it and has no leads at all."

Although the Morgan Group's network security department couldn't compare to those big tech internet companies, anyone who could work at the Morgan Group was a top industry professional. If even these tech geeks had no leads, clearly this was serious trouble.

For the first time since the Morgan Group was founded that they'd been attacked by hackers. William had made plenty of enemies running the company over the years. With his personality, he had offended quite a few people. Although he didn't take those defeated opponents seriously, it wasn't impossible that some backstabbing villain was hiding in the shadows ready to stab him.

This matter couldn't be taken lightly.

William's fingers tapped the desk irregularly.

"First notify the finance department to back up important reports and documents. Files that need encryption should be backed up to a separate computer and disconnected from the network to prevent loss. Destroy the originals."

James didn't dare delay and immediately gave orders to the finance director. He also notified all company employees to keep their important work and not randomly open unfamiliar links.

The entire company was in an uproar all afternoon, and no one could focus on work.

After two hours of intensive investigation, the network security department found the barrier set by the hacker. The hacker had left them three questions with a hint: answer two of them correctly to unlock the system.

Question one: [Who is your favorite woman?]

Question two: [What does your favorite woman like to eat most?]

Question three: [What is your favorite woman best at doing?]

Several programmers stared at the three questions, completely baffled. Who could know what answers the hacker wanted? It would be a miracle if they got them right.

James brought the computer for cracking the hacker's challenge to William.

"Mr. Morgan, these three questions are most likely meant for you."

William put his hand to his forehead. What childish person came up with this? Why not ask what kind of shit his goddess takes or whether she snores in her sleep?

He thought hard about who around him could ask such questions—there didn't seem to be anyone.

Unable to figure it out, he tried entering answers.

Favorite woman: Ava Davis

Favorite woman's favorite food: seafood porridge

What favorite woman is best at: design

After entering the answers, he pressed confirm.

A few seconds later, that image of Peppa Pig making faces appeared on the screen again, with a notification sound:

"Congratulations, you got one question right. You have two more chances, nyah nyah~"

This... was absolutely infuriating.

William's face turned green with anger.
