Chapter 99 Chapter 99

Chapter 99 Chapter 99

Moros' POV

At last.

The silence was over.

For seven thousand years, I had existed as nothing more than a forgotten whisper beneath the Heart of Creation.

Not dead.

Not alive.

Waiting.

Watching.

Listening as history blamed the innocent and praised the guilty.

How amusing.

How... human.

The King blamed himself.

Aster blamed Sol.

The world blamed Azrael.

Yet no one...

Not a single soul...

Remembered me.

Exactly as I had intended.

I stepped forward.

The darkness around me spread across the palace floor like ink.

The Heart trembled and I know it was not because it feared me but because it remembered me.

"Hello, old friend," I said, resting a hand against its cracked surface.

"It has been a long time."

The King's POV

Moros.

The name struck like lightning.

Not a forgotten prince.

Not a fallen king.

Something far older.

He had been the King's Advisor.

The Keeper of Fate.

The only man permitted to stand beside the throne without kneeling.

I remembered now.

Though not everything but still enough.

"You betrayed us."

Moros laughed.

"Betrayed?"

He looked genuinely amused.

"I saved you."

"You murdered our family."

"I ended an illusion."

His crimson eyes settled on Sable.

"The world was never meant to survive."

Sable's POV

Every instinct inside me screamed to run not because Moros radiated power or the power coming from him but because he radiated certainty.

He believed every word he spoke without considering others and that made him terrifying.

He looked at me as though studying a child.

"So.....The new Queen."

"You've inherited more than a throne."

I held his gaze.

"I won't become you."

He smiled.

"I never expected you to."

His eyes shifted toward Leonidas.

"But he might."

Leonidas stepped in front of me.

"I don't even know you."

"You will."

Moros answered quietly.

"When the choice comes."

Leonidas's POV

Choice.

Everyone kept talking about choices and I was getting tired of the word.

"I already made mine."

Moros tilted his head.

"Oh?"

"I protect her."

A faint smile touched his

lips.

"So did the last Alpha."

Silence.

"And he died."

The words landed heavily.

I refused to look away.

"If that's the price..."

"I'll pay it."

Sable grabbed my arm.

"No."

I looked at her to see she was crying.

"I'm not losing you."

I gently brushed a tear from her cheek.

"You won't."

Even as I said it...

I wasn't certain.

Cassian's POV

The pieces finally fit together.

Moros had orchestrated everything.

The massacre.

The lies.

The broken memories.

The imprisonment of the King.

The disappearance of Sol.

He had rewritten history itself.

But why?

"What do you want?"

Moros looked at me.

"The same thing I've always wanted."

He pointed toward the Heart.

"A perfect world."

Marcus, who had finally burst into the palace with Kael behind him, frowned.

"You murdered thousands for a perfect world?"

Moros nodded calmly.

"They would've died eventually."

Marcus blinked.

"...I officially hate this guy."

Kael whispered,

"Yeah."

"No arguments from me."

Azrael's POV

Fool.

Moros never understood balance. He believed perfection could be forced.

That weakness could simply be erased.

He was wrong.

As wrong as the King.

Hope without judgment

becomes chaos.

Judgment without hope becomes tyranny.

That was why neither of us had won.

Moros sought something worse.

Control.

Absolute control.

Even I found that... unacceptable.

I stepped into the palace and the air grew colder.

Moros smiled.

"Judge."

"Traitor."

He chuckled.

"We finally agree on something."

The First Prince's POV

I stood between my brothers.

The King.

Sol.

For the first time in thousands of years...

We stood together.

As family.

I refused to lose them again.

I raised my sword.

"So."

Moros looked at me.

"You'll fight?"

"No."

I smiled.

"We'll fight."

The King stepped beside me.

Sol nodded once.

Cassian joined us.

Noctis summoned the Void behind her, Leonidas stood before Sable, Marcus spun his axes, Kael drew his blade.

Even Eden walked forward.

The little boy looked strangely serious.

Moros sighed.

"I hoped it wouldn't come to this."

"You lie," Eden said.

Moros looked down at him.

"I do."

The child smiled.

"Not today."

Eden's POV

It's time.

The story can't hide anymore.

Everyone finally stands where they're supposed to.

Hope.

Judgment.

Truth.

Love.

All together.

I reached toward the cracked Heart. Golden light flowed into my hands.

The crack stopped spreading.

For now.

Moros frowned.

"You've grown stronger."

"I've grown older."

The child answered softly.

"Just not the way you understand."

Sable's POV

The throne within me awakened completely wrong and with clarity.

For the first time...

The whispers stopped.

The fear disappeared.

The memories settled.

I wasn't Sera.

I never had been.

I wasn't meant to replace her.

I was meant to succeed where she couldn't.

I stepped beside Leonidas.

Then past him.

He reached for my hand but I squeezed his hand once before letting go.

"I have to do this."

"I'm coming with you."

I smiled through my tears.

"I know."

Together, we faced Moros.

The Heart of Creation shone brighter than the sun.

Its light filled every corner of the palace.

Moros slowly removed his hood and gasps echoed around the chamber.

His face...

Looked exactly like mine.

The same silver eyes.

The same features.

Only his expression was cold.

He smiled.

"Now..."

He spread his arms.

"...shall I tell you who your real father was?"

The words hit me like a physical blow.

The throne went silent.

The King froze.

Sol's eyes widened.

Even Azrael looked genuinely shocked.

And somewhere beyond the walls of Elysium...

The world itself trembled, as another forgotten truth prepared to awaken.
