Chapter 100 Chapter 100

Chapter 100 Chapter 100

Sable's POV

The whole world seemed to stop.

No one breathed.

No one moved.

Moros' words hung in the air like a blade.

"Shall I tell you who your real father was?"

I stared at him.

My heart pounded so violently I thought it might burst.

Then...

I shook my head.

"No."

The single word echoed through the chamber.

Moros raised an eyebrow.

"You don't wish to know?"

"I do."

My voice steadied.

"But not from someone who built his life on lies."

For the first time, his smile faltered only for a second then it returned.

"You've grown wiser than your predecessor."

The throne within me pulsed warmly in approval.

Leonidas' POV

Pride swelled inside me.

Not because Sable had answered perfectly.

Because she had answered as herself.

Not as the First Queen.

Not as the throne.

As Sable.

That was the woman I loved.

Moros took another step

forward. The darkness around him thickened.

"I can still show you the truth."

I stepped beside Sable.

"If there's a truth to be found..."

"We'll find it ourselves."

Moros looked at me.

"You still don't understand."

"No."

"I understand enough."

I tightened my grip on my

sword.

"You're trying to divide us."

Moros' POV

Interesting.

Very interesting.

She refused temptation.

The Alpha refused doubt.

They were already stronger than the last pair.

Perhaps...

This era truly had a chance.

That made them dangerous.

"I suppose subtlety has failed."

The darkness behind me exploded outward.

The palace shook violently.

The cracked Heart trembled.

The shadows gathered behind me, twisting into enormous wings that stretched from one end of the throne room to the other.

Marcus looked up.

"...Well."

"I officially miss when he was just talking."

Cassian's POV

"No!"

I recognized the spell immediately.

"Everyone get away from the Heart!"

Too late.

Moros slammed both hands against the cracked surface.

The palace erupted with blinding light.

Golden.

Silver.

Black.

Three colors collided at once.

The explosion didn't destroy the room. It shattered something else.

Memory.

Thousands of forgotten memories burst into the air like glowing stars.

Each one drifted through the palace.

Waiting.

Searching.

Looking for the soul it belonged to.

One entered the King.

Another found Sol.

Hundreds flew toward the Guardian Kings.

One floated gently toward Sable and she reached out instinctively.

The memory touched her fingertips.

Sable's POV

As I reached out for the memory that floated toward me I saw I wasn't in the palace anymore.

I stood inside the royal library.

The First Queen—Sera—sat beside a window, reading when someone knocked softly.

"Come in."

The King entered.

He wasn't wearing armor at this moment just simple clothes and he looked... happy.

"You've been hiding all morning."

Sera smiled.

"I've been thinking."

"Dangerous."

She laughed.

"You always say that."

The King sat beside her.

"What troubles you?"

She looked out the window.

"I'm afraid."

"Of what?"

"That one day..."

"...people will remember the throne."

"And forget the person sitting on it."

The King gently took her hand.

"Then promise me something."

"What?"

"If the throne ever chooses another Queen...Let her be herself."

"Don't let history force her to become you."

Sera smiled sadly.

"I promise."

The memory faded.

I opened my eyes.

Tears streamed down my face.

The throne wasn't asking me to become Sera.

It never had rather it had been protecting her promise.

The King's POV

She remembered.

Not the war.

Not the blood.

The promise.

I smiled.

"Sera..."

"You stubborn woman."

Even after seven thousand years...

She had found a way to protect the future.

Eden's POV

Good.

Very good.

Now the last chain is broken and the throne finally belongs to Sable.

Not to memory.

Not to destiny.

To her.

I looked toward Moros to see he understood it too.

His expression darkened.

For the first time, he looked almost uncertain.

Almost.

Noctis' POV

The balance had shifted.

I could feel it.

The throne no longer carried the weight of the past.

It had accepted the present.

That changed everything.

Even Azrael noticed as he lowered his weapon his silver eyes never left Sable.

"So..."

he murmured.

"The cycle has finally ended."

Moros laughed.

"No."

"It has barely begun."

He snapped his fingers and the floor beneath the Heart split apart.

A massive crystal chamber rose from beneath the palace.

Inside it...

Someone slept.

A young woman.

Her long silver hair floated around her like moonlight beneath water.

She looked almost identical to Sable.

Almost.

The King's smile vanished.

"No..."

Sol staggered backward.

"It can't be..."

Aster dropped his sword.

"Sera..."

The First Queen lay inside the crystal, untouched by time.

Not dead.

Not alive.

Sleeping.

Moros spread his arms.

"I never killed your Queen."

"I simply made the world believe she was gone."

Sable stared at the sleeping woman.

Then back at Moros.

"If she's here..."

Her voice trembled.

"...then whose memories have I been carrying?"

Moros smiled.

"The throne's."

The crystal surrounding Sera suddenly cracked.

A single fracture spread across its surface.

Then another.

And another.

A soft heartbeat echoed through the chamber.

The First Queen's fingers

twitched.

After seven thousand years...

She was beginning to wake.
