Kiana eyes blinked open 3 hours after the surgery. She knew from the smell of antiseptic she was in a hospital. She opened her eyes fully and winced at the brightness of the lights in her ward. She tried sitting up but winced at the pain in her head.

“ Careful dear, take it easy. "

A young guy in a white coat, the owner of the voice walked over and helped her sit up.

“ Where am I? How did I end up here? She looked around the ward curiously.

“ Well we had to carry out an emergency brain surgery on you. A powerful substance triggered a seizure. Your friend is waiting outside though he smiled, a small dimple popping out.

“ He's cute. Those grey eyes, pink lips and dimples... She blinked, she couldn't believe she just admired another guy.

“ Well his handsome and very young." A voice said in her head. She frowned hating the fact that she could not take her eyes off him.

“Damnit! She facepalmed and winced at the pain it brought her.

“ Are you alright? The young doctor rushed to her side and began examining her head.

“ Stop making movements that'll hurt you, he said worriedly his grey eyes locking on her brown ones for several seconds. He looked worried, a little too worried about a patient he'd just met.

The door creaked opened and an elderly looking doctor stepped in followed by two nurses and Olivia.

“ Ahh! You're here Master Marcus? “Good day sir" the Doctor and nurses bowed.

“ Good day Doctor Jones. I just came to check on the patient. Hope you don't mind? Marcus the young man said standing to his feet and putting both hands in his pockets.

“ Not at all sir. Although it's a little strange for you to do that, Doctor Jones added inaudibly.

“ What did you say?" Marcus asked.

“ I said you're welcome to always check up on the patients, Doctor Jones quickly added as cover up.

OMG Kiana you're awake! Olivia ran up to her bedside. I was so worried about you she said cupping her cheeks in her hands.

Kiana narrowed her eyes, wondering what the girl was up to.

“ Who are you?." The ward went quiet the moment she asked that. Olivia looked confused.

“ You don't remember me? I'm your best friend," she said cautiously.

“ I don't think I've ever met you Kiana looked at her the same way she does to strangers. “ Do I have parents? Has anyone come for me she turned to the doctors and asked.

“ Do not worried about that ma'am. Just focus on resting and we'll find a way to reach out to your parents to come get you. And do not force yourself to remember anything, or you'll loose your memories forever Dr Jones said.

“ I'll try doctor, Kiana closed her eyes but not before seeing the ev-il glint on Olivia's face.

Olivia spent the next few days with Kiana, feigning concern but waiting for the moment to strike. Kiana was the remaining witness to what she'd done and she needed to take care of that by making sure she lost her memories. Forever.

“ When would we get there?" Kiana asked. They were currently on the way to Rosevale, in the same car.

“ How are the students? Are there nice,mean or bullies? What kind of student was I?." Kiana asked.

“ You were like a Queenbie Olivia smiled. You own your fashion brand.

“ I did?" Kiana asked excitedly.

“ Don't you remember?" Barbie's Apparels. The brand all the richest kids at our school love.

Kiana stayed still for sometime then winced holding her head.

“ My head! Ouch! It hurts."

“ What do you see Kiana?" Olivia asked ignoring her cries.

“ I. I see a blurry image of a girl. She's pretty, long dark hair but I can't see her face. She's wearing a very pretty dress that looks familiar.

Amy! Olivia knew that was a memory from when Amy was her brand's face.

“ What else can you see? Try to remember she urged her on.

“ My head! Kiana screamed and fell back on the car's seat. She stayed silent for some minutes then drank some water from her water can.

“ Are you okay? Olivia asked pretending to care.

“ I feel a little dizzy. What happened to me?

“ You don't remember anything? Olivia asked trying to mask her excitement.

“ Is there something I should remember?" Look I get it that you think we were friends which I doubt, if that were the case I'll have felt some kind of connection to you. So just leave me alone Kiana retorted and stepped out the car the moment the driver killed the engine at the school's parking lot.

“ Kiana wait! You won't remember your way around, let me show you Olivia called out but made no move on getting out of the car.

Kiana stepped out just as Elliott was closing his car's door but walked past as if he wasn't there.

This made Olivia glad. She didn't think her plan of making Kiana completely loose her memory would be so effective and quick.

She quickly adjusted her clothes and hair before getting out of the car. This was a perfect opportunity to shoot her shot. With Kiana and Amy out of the way she had a solid chance of getting him.

Hey Elliott! She called out, flashing a smile when he turned around.

“ I'm Olivia, " she extended a hand for a handshake but pulls it back when he doesn't take it.

“ What do you want? Bitch. Go straight to the point and stop wasting my damn time.

“ No need to be rude okay," Olivia scoffed. I like you and I want us to hang out."

“ That's never going to work. Not even in your wildest dreams." Elliott eyed her before leaving.

“ Akira would never love you. So stop trying! She yelled loud enough for him to hear. Elliott stopped but didn't turn, then continued walking away.

Olivia huffed angrily before walking away. She had overlooked Akira. Again.

Elliott's POV

I been myself since meeting that crazy girl. Olivia. And why am I affected by what she said. Why do I feel so bad that Akira doesn't love me?

Arrrghh! I screamed running my two hands through my perfect hair.

“ She's your slave Elliott. Remember that. I said out loud but it sounded like I was trying to convince myself.

“Where's she by the way? She needs to pay for making me frustrated," I stood up making my way to the library,the thought of seeing her making me very excited for some strange reasons.

The journey to the library was shorter than usual thanks to a hidden route linking my quarters directly to the library. I pushed the door open and what I saw made my blood boil.
