Chapter 51

Chapter 51

Isabella didn't dwell on it further. Her fingers clicked the mouse and opened the login information panel on the side.

The most recent login entry showed a different location and device. A small green icon beside it was lit up, indicating that whoever had logged into her account was still using it.

That person was probably tampering with something right now.

Isabella quickly took a screenshot of the login information. Although she didn't know who had accessed her account, she could see the login location and a string of numbers resembling a web address. She might be able to figure out who logged into her account through this string of numbers.

Isabella waited silently for a while. The other person didn't delete her design draft but exported the file instead, then immediately wiped all traces of the operation clean.

Clearly, they were after her design draft.

Isabella's eyes were calm and collected. She quietly recorded everything the other person did. They worked quickly, too—after deleting all traces, they logged out of the account and even erased the login information.

Could this person be Daphne?

Isabella frowned slightly.

Someone who could casually log into GE's internal accounts, modify login information, and had the authority to erase operation traces was probably someone at GE's leadership level.

So far, Isabella had only been in contact with Daphne from GE. She hadn't dealt with anyone else at the company.

These people had no grudge against her, so why would they suddenly do this? After thinking it over, the most likely person was Daphne.

A flash of coldness crossed Isabella's eyes.

It was obvious who had logged into her account, but why did Daphne do it?

Isabella looked down, lost in thought. Was it for her design draft?

She didn't call Daphne to confront her, nor did she tell William about this, afraid of tipping them off. Since Daphne had done this, she naturally had a purpose. Isabella was curious about why Daphne was targeting her.

Since someone had already set up the stage, she was happy to step up and perform, to see how this play would end.

The next morning at work, Isabella called GE. To bypass Daphne, she spent quite a bit of effort and finally managed to get confirmation that the string of numbers was indeed the web address of Daphne's computer.

Isabella's eyes darkened. She quietly organized all the information and waited for Daphne's next move.

Daphne seemed to be in a hurry and didn't keep Isabella waiting long. Not long after hanging up the phone, something went wrong with the design draft.

Her design was leaked. Netizens had already heard rumors that GE would release a high-end custom design for luxury gowns. Now hearing that the design draft was leaked, they all rushed to check it out, and the topic's popularity was pushed up again.

"Can I say this design is really stunning? Too bad it was leaked."

"Does being leaked mean it can't be used anymore? This time, GE even hired Isabella—looks like they really like her design."

This was GE's core design project recently, but now the design draft has been leaked. GE quickly responded and reluctantly acknowledged the design, while another wave of information was deliberately released.

The design was leaked by Isabella herself. So far, only she and GE had seen this design. They even made up reasons for Isabella, saying she was dissatisfied with GE's manager, Daphne, and that she leaked her own design to create buzz and increase the popularity of her work.

Isabella read through the post expressionlessly, unhurriedly sipped her coffee, and slowly curved her lips into a smile.

Daphne must be feeling pretty pleased with herself right now, right? Daphne thought she had done something flawless, but Isabella had already organized all the evidence behind the scenes.

When Isabella arrived at William's company, he was holding his phone, his voice carrying a rare anger.

"I believe in Isabella's character. She would never do something like this. What benefit would leaking her own design bring her?"

"She doesn't need to leak her own design to create buzz! If she were really that kind of person, wouldn't she have leaked it last time?"

William stood by the window on the phone, not even noticing Isabella behind him. His thin lips were pressed into a straight line, his brows tightly furrowed, surrounded by an unapproachable cold pressure.

"I think there's a problem within your company. As for who it is, you'll have to investigate internally. I just hope you won't accuse Isabella without reason."

With that, he hung up, gripping his phone tightly, his knuckles white from the pressure. Isabella walked up to him, her eyes showing a tenderness she hadn't even noticed in herself.

"Don't be angry anymore."

She suddenly spoke from behind William. Her voice dispelled the somewhat oppressive atmosphere in the room. William relaxed his tightly furrowed brows and turned around. When he saw her, the coldness in his eyes suddenly melted away.

"Isabella, don't worry. I'll handle this... It's just that this high-end design probably can't be used anymore. Do you want to create a new design?"

Isabella shook her head, her emotions quite calm. "It's fine. GE called me and asked me to come over. I'll handle this myself, don't worry."

William's brows were tightly knit. He rarely got this angry. Usually, no matter how serious things were, he wouldn't show this much emotion, but when it came to Isabella's matters, his emotions were always volatile.

His lips pressed tightly together, his expression growing darker. "How about I go with you?"

A smile slowly spread across Isabella's lips. Her eyes curved as if she were soothing William, her voice gentle as she said.

"Don't worry, I'll definitely handle this. I won't let myself suffer any loss, I promise."

Hearing Isabella say this, William didn't insist further and nodded. "If you can't handle it, call me. I'll come over right away."

In just half a day, the situation had escalated more and more, with all kinds of evidence popping up claiming that Isabella had leaked it herself.

The design was leaked right when the final draft was due. Only she and a few managers knew about this draft, and GE's people had no reason to leak it.

When Isabella arrived at GE's conference room, it was already full of people. As soon as she appeared, several sharp gazes turned toward her.

Sitting in the center was a very capable-looking woman. She appeared to be in her forties, frowning tightly, wearing glasses, with sharp and cold eyes behind the lenses.
