Chapter 41

Chapter 41

The little girl was now in front of Megan. Her hands immediately flew to her mouth in a desperate attempt to stop herself from screaming.

Megan could have sworn that the little girl was still quite a distance away from her.

She was also sure that she had just stared at the door for a few seconds but here she was face to face with her as she was still planted on the cold tiled floor.

Her breath smelled of salt water as her pale face moved inches closer to hers.

If Megan didn’t know any better, she would have believed without even as much as a shred of doubt that the little girl was trying to peer into the very depths of her soul.

Megan’s back breast tightly against the sink as the little girl’s stuffed bunny which was damp was against her knee.

The sensation felt cold and very uncomfortable. Megan did not need to look at ger skin to know that it was now covered in goosebumps.

Her body hairs were at attention and if it were jot fit the fact that she hands were over her mouth, she would have let out another ear piercing scream.

“You let me in.”

The little girl said as her pale blue eyes never left hers. Her voice was faint but ag the same time, Megan could not help but feel like her voice was loud at the same time.

“I-I don’t know w-what you mean.”

Megan struggled to say as her voice cracked.

Megan could not explain but the more the little girl spoke, the more she found it very difficult to look at her like she was just a child.

The little girl’s eyes narrowed as she stared at her.

“You lie Megan.”

She said again with a cold voice.

It was like something had snapped in Megan. All of a sudden, nothing made sense to her anymore.

“N-no I’m Cleo Ainsley.”

She muttered as she stared down at her hands.

The name rolled of her tongue smoothly almost as if she had said it a thousand times yet at the same time, Megan could not help but feel like the name sounded very foreign.

At first, the little girl said nothing as she just continued to stare right at her.

heeheehee

heeeeeeheeee

stupid stupid

“You don’t even know who you are anymore.”

heeheeeee

heeheeeee

The little girl giggled loudly as her voice echoed off the tiled walls.

The smile of the little girl widened exposing her teeth which looked more like broken shards of glsss.

The giggles continued as she tainted Megan.

“Megan….I know who you are because I remember.”

She said sweetly after she was done giggling.

Megan stood up from the tiled floors abruptly as she stared at her face in the mirror.

She tried hard to concentrate but she could not explain what she was looking at.

On one half of the mirror, she was staring at a female with brown curls and brown eyes…..Cleo Ainsley and on another half, she was staring at her regular plain self.

However, there was a third reflection. One that was more than enough to cause a shiver to run down the length of her spine.

It was her but at the same time, it was a different her.

In the reflection, she was stained with blood.

Megan let out a loud gasp as she stumbled sideways almost as if she was trying ti run away from her own reflections.

However, before she could fall, a cold wet hand held on to her right hand and this time, Megan could no longer control the tears as she cheeks became stained with them.

She turned around and there she was still starting right at her.

Her touch against her leg felt icy and at the same time, it felt completely lifeless.

“Do you remember how you killed me?”

“Do you remember how you killed them all?”

The reaction came in an instant.

Megan’s blood tan coke as she felt her stomach dripping. Her entire body visibly shivered and she was not even sure why.

She knew that she had not killed any one but the words of this little girl was more than enough for her to question her very reality.

Her eyelids fluttered against each other as strange images flashed through her mind. I angels with blood stained hands.

Her entire body convulsed as these images flashed through her mind.

Her nostrils were now runny as breathing became even more and more difficult.

“N-no it wasn’t me. I didn’t kill anyone.”

She croaked out but it sounded more like she was trying to convince herself.

Like she was trying to make her believe such a fact.

The little girl stepped back into the treatment cubicle with her stuffed hubby in tow.

Then just like that, she disappeared into the darkness.

It was like she was never there in the first place as Megan tried to get herself under control
