EXPULSION OF THIS REALM

CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

BLANC'S POV

Damn, I totally forgot about her hybrid nature, so she knew that I was pretending all this while, why did she then keep quiet and allow me to continue my charade.

I slammed the door shut and turned to face Denise whose chins were placed on her hands. She just stared at me.

I cleared my throat so I could speak up, "It's only Vampires that read minds, you are a wolf, how do you know how to do that as well" I asked, trying to pretend that there was no knowledge of her being a hybrid in me.

She stood up from the couch and started walking around the living room. I tried to read her mind to know what was happening but as usual, I was unable to read her mind. Hybrids are in charge of controlling their thoughts and making them unreadable but Vampires can only try to empty their thoughts.

It was obvious Denise had no idea on how to control her thoughts because sometimes, her thoughts are readable and sometimes they are not.

DENISE'S POV

"I have been reading people's thoughts since I do not know what's happening," I said with my hands folded beneath my breasts. I walked everywhere in the living room to get my mind off the fact that I have turned into a mind reader but it wasn't possible.

Reading Blanc's thoughts was the simplest thing to do, he was so predictable. But I do not know the plan that Lucas hatched but I knew they were lying about Dracula's plan stuff when I entered. There might be a little truth in it though.

I was able to read Luca's thoughts too and Blanc was wrong about Lucas. Lucas just wants the best for everybody although I could see some hidden secret in him that I couldn't get hold of.

"How do you do it?" He asked me, coming closer to where I was seated. I didn't initially want to give him a reply because he was trying hard to empty his thoughts so I wouldn't read it which was actually helping.

But for some reason, I wasn't able to comprehend I answered him by saying, "The thoughts are like a room, with different things written on the wall with different handwriting"

He came closer to me and sat beside me, his face seemed more serious as he looked at me, "The writings are in different handwriting?" He asked surprised.

I wondered why he was surprised, isn't that the way he reads thoughts too? For some moments, we kept quiet and the night seemed very long.

I yawed which showed a sign of tiredness, I stood up to go and get some rest since Blanc refused to talk any further. "I'm going to bed since your mouth is sealed and you are unable to talk," I said walking away from the living room slowly. He still didn't reply to me but I didn't bother because the weight of the sleep was getting heavy.

When I got to my room, I crashed into my bed and dozed off.

BLANC'S POV

Denise left me in the living room alone, I didn't know what to say to her because the way she reads thoughts is very different from the mere Vampires. It's only Dracula that reads people's minds with Different handwriting.

Let me break it down, As a Vampire, one has the ability to read the minds and thoughts of people but it is important to note that people think about different things at a time and we as Vampires or rather mere Vampires we try to arrange their thoughts and give it a suitable meaning because all the thoughts are written in the same handwriting.

But some old Vampires like Dracula, and probably Lucas, don't need to arrange their thoughts to give reasonable meaning because the handwriting on the wall is different. It makes it easier for them to read your thoughts within a matter of seconds.

The fact that Denise possesses this ability is surprising, I have spent more than three centuries living and I still do not have the ability to read thoughts with different handwriting but Denise is just sixteen and she can do that with batting an eyelid.

I placed my hands on my chin to understand how she does that, she's even more powerful than I thought. Dracula though as well. It was obvious she didn't understand how great her powers were.

I need to tell Lucas what I just found out but first of all, I must make sure she's fast asleep to avoid any questions during the discussion between Lucas and me.

I walked to the door of Denise's room, Densie" I said in a hushed tone and she didn't reply. After waiting for minutes without her replying, I whispered her name again, a little louder than the way I called her name the previous time and she still didn't answer.

The inability to answer shows that she is fast asleep. I tip-toed to Lucas's room and barged inside, "what the fuck" I exclaimed in a hushed tone, after seeing him naked and dancing at the same time. He rolled around making his dick dangle helpless. I have never seen Lucas do stupid things before but whatever he was doing before me, was the height of it all, if I had my phone with me, I would have loved to secure the moment in a video.

After Lucas noticed my presence, with a speed that he had never expressed before, he grabbed a towel and tied it around his waist. After he was sure his body was covered properly, he gave me a stern stare that sent shivers down my spine.

"You would have done a lot more if you had simply knocked Blanc," he said without smiling, his face looked very serious which made me amused but I tried my best to hide the amusement.

"You looked hot dancing" I teased him which made him more angry, I could control my laughter. I burst into uncontrollable laughter due to the expression on his face and how his anger grew every single second when he heard me laughing.

"I thought you would have gone to Andi's house by now," He said, trying to get me into a conversation and reduce the shame he felt at that moment. I didn't want to laugh at him further so I decided to flow with the discussion.

"I didn't go again, there is something very important I need to discuss with you and there should be a change in plan," I said as I came closer to the wooden chair at one corner of his room.

After I reached the chair, I crashed into it because my legs were getting weak. Lucas did not want to hear whatever I wanted to say, the expression on his face showed it all. "No matter what, Blanc, that's one of the best plans I have ever come up with so we will surely stick to it," he said wanting to hear what I had to say.

I stood up in anger, as I fell off the wooden chair on the floor, which made a very loud sound. I didn't care about waking Denise up, I just wanted Lucas to hear an opinion and see things from my perspective.

"That girl is a hybrid and she read thoughts like she had been living for over centuries, she read my thoughts, so there fucking has to be a change in this shitty plan of yours," I said, in a very harsh tone. But Lucas sat at the edge of the bed unmoved by what I just took him.

It became obvious that he knew Denise was a hybrid all along but he decided on when to tell me also this her reading of thought like an older person too, it was obvious he knew that too and that was not a new thing for him.

"You knew that right?" I yelled at Lucas who just nodded his head quietly which made me more angry, his silence and politeness were getting on my nerves so hard. "Answer me" I yelled further but Lucas remained silent and reluctant to answer my questions.

"Are you still working with Dracula?" He asked and I fell speechless. How did he know about what Dracula and I discussed? My mouth went dry and I couldn't find a word to say at that moment because I wasn't really good at making up a lie.

"That's not what we are discussing Lucas, when were you going to tell me all you knew about Denise?" I asked, after minutes of silence, Lucas sat there with a faint smile, the smile that signifies betrayal which I know I'm not, I did what was needed to save my family.

"Since you aren't ready to talk, I guess I'll have to do the needful" that was the last words I heard before I lost connection to this realm
