Chapter 103
Killian:
I couldn’t sleep. Something was bothering me. I didn’t know if it was because of the death of my mate and fated assassin, or if there was something more to it.
Yeah, she died. I was certain. I could not feel the strong pull that I felt the first time I saw her. But why did I feel strange? I just couldn’t explain it.
‘Or maybe she wasn’t really dead,’ Dax came to my forefront.
‘That’s impossible, Dax. There was no pull at all. She was dead.’
‘And you felt mourning about that. I could feel it. We are one,’
I sighed. There was no sense in hiding. He knew it very well, more than anyone could.
‘Why don’t we go back to Windsor and find our luna?’ I changed the topic.
Dax growled in disappointment. ‘I don’t want to. She must be human and not like us. What was there for me to see?’
I chuckled at his reaction.
‘Darn! Do you really think I would pick a human for my luna? She must be a special being. She must be extremely strong that I chose her.’
‘And what must be an extremely strong being doing in Windsor City blending with humans?’
‘I don’t know.’ I shrugged. ‘We will never know until we go there and find it by ourselves.’
‘I was outside your door, your highness,’ Aldi mind-linked me. Dax left me.
‘Come in,’ I answered through a mind-link.
And soon, my door flew open. I could tell Aldi was in haste.
“What’s going on, Aldi?” I asked him, completely curious about his actions.
“Forgive my actions, your highness, but you need to hear this,”
“Go on,”
“Seer Ronnie was on his way to Remus' pack. He seemed to be in trouble but wanted to fix it on his own.”
I frowned. What must it be? Why would he come to Remus pack on his own? If he had new readings about that certain pack, he was supposed to tell the king first.
“Alright, I’ll follow him. You stay here and make sure everything is fine.”
Aldi nodded in agreement. I tapped on his shoulder and left Forks Town. I did it the fast way. I let Dax out and went for a wild run.
I was still in deep confusion while on my way to Remus pack. As a royal, I should not be running on my own. But at times like this, I didn’t need a royal entrance. I randomly visited the Remus pack and went without notice. But Seer Ronnie and the other members of lycan pack, never went unannounced. He was a lycan and needed a formal entrance before entering anyone else's pack.
There must be some emergency here.

Sabrina:
I called Corbin. Everything was set according to his directions.
We were outside, at the heart of the pack house’s lawn. We put Yzabelle’s body exactly where the moon could shine through her once it appeared. I didn’t know what this was for, but I trust Corbin on this.
Good thing we were able to convince Draco to hand Yzabelle to us. But he gave us a clear warning that if we could not bring Yzabelle back to life, we would bring her back to his manor. And they would probably proceed to Caserta.
And I hope Corbin’s plan will work.
But he was nowhere to be found.
I tried to mind-link him since Saskia’s house was just on the boundary. But he wasn’t opening.
Alaric approached me and longingly held me by my waist. I felt him giving me a peck on the top of my head.
“Don’t worry, honey. Everything will be alright,” he whispered to me.
Somehow, I managed to calm down.
“I could not get in touch with Corbin. Where must he be right now?”
Alaric was about to answer me when we heard a loud commotion outside. Matteo rushed through us.
“What’s going on?” Alaric asked him.
“Alpha Mavy was outside together with his men,” Matteo announced.
“What?”
“Actually, they were able to enter the pack and attack everyone that crossed their paths. He was looking for Yzabelle’s body.”
“Wait, did he know about Yzabelle’s death and the situation? How?” Alaric was confused. I wasn’t. All I had was uncontrollable anger.
“That fcking asshole!” My rage suddenly consumed me. It was about time I had to face the murderer of my best friend! I would be able to avenge her death.

Corbin:
I was looking up at the dark night sky, near the sacred lagoon. Tonight, the rare blood wolf moon will occur. Saskia said it was the perfect time to do the ritual. When Saskia asked me if I was willing to sacrifice my life in exchange for Yzabelle, I didn’t hesitate at all.
I knew it, from the time she told me Yzabelle and Laura’s tale, that one was supposed to give his or her life to fulfill the fated life for the favored luna. If it was not me, then it would be my grandma Sabrina. My grandma wasn’t supposed to exist, and so do I.
And I couldn’t afford to let her give up her life. So, I must sacrifice mine.
And I didn’t feel any regrets at all. What I was going to do was for my pack’s benefit. My Luna would be tied to my pack once she was back. And I was rooting for her.
“Are you ready?” I heard Saskia from behind me.
I gave her a lopsided grin.
“Of course,” I answered abruptly.
Saskia looked at me intently.
“What?”
She shook her head.
“For someone who was about to offer his life, you were the calmest,” she commented.
I shrugged. “Maybe because I was more willing to do so.”
She smiled weakly. “And I admire your courage and love. You are a good Alpha. Too bad, good alphas didn’t live long.”
I chuckled at that. “Maybe I wasn’t meant for this time, Saskia.” I breathed. “I was happy I met you. See you in my next life if there is one.”
“I was sure you'd have one. This world needs a lot more of an alpha like you.”
That was heart melting. And it gave me enough courage to do this.
All for my love, Yzabelle.
