He glanced around quickly. "Are you sure nobody will come this far?"

"Only if one of the guests wanders off," I replied. "But we should be fine here."

He led me to the wooden bench by the lake and helped me sit. With gentle hands he opened my legs and carefully removed my panties sliding them into his suit pocket. He raised the hem of my dress and knelt between my thighs. His mouth found me immediately. Warm and hungry. He squeezed my hand. "I have already moved all your things into my room. I cant stand us sleeping in separate rooms anymore. The bed feels too empty without you."

I stopped walking and looked up at him excitedly. "Really?"

"Yes," he said with a warm smile. "I need you beside me every night."

We continued walking until we ran into Sophia. She looked at us with knowing eyes.

"Hello Alexander," she said politely.

He greeted her warmly, noticing immediately how much she resembled me. "You two look so alike. It is remarkable."

Sophia grinned. "We get that a lot. Where have you two been? You disappeared for a while."

I blushed. "We went for a walk. I showed him the lake and the garden."

Sophia gave me a look that said she knew exactly what we had done. I smiled shyly and we continued walking.

Alexander leaned close as we moved. "Do you think we should start wedding planning now or wait until after the baby is born?"

I thought for a moment. "It depends on when the war is finally over and it is safe for a big celebration. My bump is not too big yet so I would love a beautiful ball gown for the wedding, it can hide the baby bump. But if it grows more we can wait until after the baby arrives."

He nodded. "I will try harder to find the remaining Moonthorn and Ironthorn members still on the run. I want to bring you home as soon as possible."

"I cannot wait either," I whispered.

Vincent and another elder approached us. "We need to borrow Alexander for a while," Vincent said. "There are some final details to discuss."

Alexander kissed my cheek softly. "I will find you soon."

He left with them and Sophia immediately came to sit beside me.

"You are glowing like you just got some serious vitamin D," she teased.

I laughed out loud, my cheeks burning. "I do not know what you are talking about."

She grinned. "I understand completely. If Alexander was my man I would do the same. He is so hot. How do you handle all that beauty from one person?"

Lila arrived just then. "Who are you getting vitamin D from?"

Sophia and I burst into laughter. "It is nothing," I said, trying to keep a straight face.

Lila looked at me with wide eyes. "Maddie oh my god Alexander is so fine and hot. How do you deal with this much sexiness from one person, I'm sure he has 6 packs and broad shoulders?"

I smiled shyly. "Yes, he is incredibly handsome. I must admit. He looks so young for his age.

I know your child will be beautiful because you both are blessed in that department." Lila said.

Sophia laughed. "Thank you babe."

Lila rolled her eyes playfully. "I was not talking to you. But yes you are pretty too since you look like Maddie."

We continued talking and laughing until Alexander returned. He walked straight to our table, kissed my cheek and said. "Come see me to the car. I am leaving now."

The girls stared at him with open mouths. He greeted them politely and thanked them for taking care of me. They responded in unison. "You are welcome."

I walked with him to the car with my hand in his. "Sleep over please," I whispered.

He sighed. "I wish I could. I have things to take care of and I need to go to the office tomorrow. I have been away from work for too long. I am happy you are alright with your family. I will visit as soon as I can."

I did not want to speak because I knew my voice would break. I simply nodded and held him tighter. He kissed me until I was breathless then bent down and kissed my stomach gently. "Daddy loves you," he whispered.

He straightened and looked into my eyes. "I love you Maddie. More than anything."

He entered the car with his men and they drove away. I stood there watching until the taillights disappeared. Sophia came up beside me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. 

"He really loves you," she said softly.
I smiled through the tears. "I know. And I love him just as much."

The night continued but my heart was already counting the days until I could go home to him.
