Chapter 23 Turn over me, whenever life gets harsh
" How could he do this....," Esperanza said while peeking outside at the bodies of soldiers.
" I cannot even imagine that you are this ruthless...., why Ezra?" She let out in her mind and those adorable eyes that had gentleness and kindness in them were coming in front of her.
Abruptly, those eyes that were in her mind exerted that golden light. She opened her eyes with a gasp and saw Orion standing in front of her.
"What happened?" Orion asked with a suspicious look on his face.
"Something is bothering me," she let out and he was all ears to hear her.
" That golden dragon has something with me, he is calling me ....," suddenly Orion gets stuck in his place.
" What are you saying?" Orion was confused.
"I have some connection with that dragon, I.... I kept it from everyone, but ......," she wanted to tell him something that he wanted to hear eagerly, and then suddenly she turned her eyes to the window and saw Felix staying close to the room.
" What tells me?" Orion said but she kept quiet and waited for Felix to get away.
"No.... Nothing... can I meet my parents? Would you take me?" She asked with a calm voice.
" What was the thing you wanted to tell me, about that golden dragon?" Orion said, and Esperanza gasped.
" Nothing, I wanted to know more about it. It stays close to my heart. I do not know why I am so inclined to know more about it. I feel some connection with it." Esperanza said with a tight smile.
" Are you serious?" Orion frowned.
"Yes, I am serious...., can I go home?" She asked and Orion nodded.
"They are your parents you can see them whenever you want," Orion said.
"Why should I see them? I wanted to stay with them," Esperanza replied.
"Okay, lady, you can," Orion replied, and Esperanza's heart filled with joy.
A man walked with a group of forces in a room. The room was massive, and the ceiling was adorned with ornate carvings and chandeliers.
The walls were adorned with tapestries, and an esteemed painting of King Wayne was hung on the wall.
That man was muscular and tall, he had a strong stature while having rounded features, his hair was black, and he was wearing a brown cloak.
He stands in front of the altar where he sees Raymond standing waiting for him.
"You are the Wyvern that has crashed, but also got healed instantly," Raymond said and that man nodded.
"Can you tell me what happened there?" Raymond asks.
" Yes, leader.....," he nodded, and Raymond replied with a nod as well.
"We got crashed and fell on the ground, we got injured, those arrows were penetrated into my body, and also King Ezra's head was injured, he was bleeding, but then.......," he started saying, and Raymond got more predisposed.
"But then that girl who King brought to see the realm, she took his head into her lap and a golden light came out of her hand......, at that moment I lost control because I was losing my life, and closed my eyes," he said and looked down.
" After that I opened my eyes and could not find a single wound on my body....., nor a single mark on my body," he said and Raymond nodded.
"I appreciate what you have contributed," Raymond said and comma to leave.
They left, and the door closed, a hand came behind from the tapestries, and Wayne came out.
Raymond bowed at him, and Wayne took his seat on the throne.
"I told you Master, there is something special about that girl....., she is really essential for us,"
" There are some secrets buried in her memory," Raymond said.
"She has a trace of royalty; no one can predict that golden glow that has been bestowed upon our heirs from the golden dragon who created everything," Wayne said, and those goosebumps were clear on his skin.
"Is she the one, then, we have to save her before our enemies could find out, and extract those powers from her?" Wayne said.
"But My King, we have finished all of them.....," Raymond frowned.
"I know, but I do not believe those remorseless creatures, they can also cause death," Wayne said with a mind full of assumptions.
"Does Ezra say anything about that incident?" Wayne asked.
"No, my King, he does not say a word, and today he has killed five soldiers of a barbarian group," Raymond said, and Wayne got off his seat with frightening expressions.
"What do you mean? How could he? He is purely kindhearted," Wayne said and Raymond nodded.
"Yes everyone knows that, but today he was in an outrageous aura, he could not even think twice about doing this,"
"That leader kneeled in front of him, he pleaded but he has blood over his head," Raymond elaborated, and Wayne fisted.
"How could he? We do not attack those barbarians, they are already those who have lost their families and loved ones and they are the most dangerous ones,"
"How could he bring revenge by himself?" Wayne was furious to hear this.
"My King, that was the group who attacked him, and because of that, he lost Esperanza ....," Raymond said, and Wayne nodded.
"He is in love with her, and this is my responsibility to get her back for my son," Wayne said.
"He is enough to get her back, you have no idea he is burning every possible place he can see," Raymond said.
"But that fire can burn him too," Wayne said.
" We would do anything to save him," Raymond said and Wayne nodded.
Orion and Esperanza were walking towards the valley of humans.
Orion seems to be calmly strolling forward. He looks calm and satisfied as he has achieved the most prized thing of his life; he never imagined that it could be that easy.
While fighting, he was reckoning on the greatest fight in his mind to get her back.
But his fate has snatched her for him.
Suddenly, he looked to his side and found no one. He stopped and looked back and found Esperanza walking while her nostrils were escaping all the air in them, her heart was racing uncontrollably, and her face was flushed.
She rolled her eyes and Orion could not control his laughter.
" What......?" He let out and walked to her.
"Are ....you.... making fun of.... me?" Esperanza let out a breathless voice.
" Look at your face..., you look adorable.....," he let out with love in his eyes.
" Stop it....., I cannot breathe.....," She said Orion got closer to her.
"You turn over me, whenever life gets harsh," he said and pulled her towards him.
"Then he took her into his arms," while she was caged around his neck.
"Orion...., I... I can walk....," she said and he smiled.
" But I do not want to," he said and started walking.
"I want to cuddle you, stay close to you all the time.....," he was talking, but not looking at her face, and Esperanza's eyes were stuck on him.
"So you lived alone all those years," she asked why clinging close to him.
" Yes, I did, they trained me so hard that nothing could beat me, before meeting you I would never be afraid of getting hurt or dying or being in prison,"
"For me my revenge was everything," Orion said.
"But after you came in again in my life that dry heart opened up again," Orion said.
"So you remembered me when you met me after those years? And you never remembered me in all those years? And you have no concern about me, you just wanted your revenge, you never think about me, am I right?" She asked because in those years there was not a single day she waited for him at the same place.
He smiled and looked up at her face, "So my little woman is curious to know,"
He looked straight into her eyes, and she snuck it quickly. He smiled and then let out.
"I was always watching you, I want to be with you but never wanted to hurt you, if I showed myself before gaining recognition and power, then they will kill you without thinking twice,"
"And that day when I came to meet you, I found that man wanted to devour you, and that time I lost my senses,"
"I wanted to kill him, but then opened your eyes, and if something happened to you, I swear I would never forgive myself," he said, and she was amused to see his desperation.
"After spending just a few hours with you, I reckon that I cannot live without you, my revenge is essential, but you are crucial for me," He said, and Esperanza got away with his words.
"I know that is going to be hard but not impossible, and in my heart I have given that place to you, ever and forever," Esperanza got dazed by his words.
"I have cleared that before, why do you keep asking?" he asked.
"I...... I do not know, but it feels good," Esperanza replied.
"If it feels good then keep asking,' Orion said with a soft smile.
Miranda and Emerson were waiting for their daughter to come back home; they were oblivious of the day and the night, everything just stopped in their world, their lives, everything.
The only thing they wanted to see was the knock on the door and walking Esperanza in.
Suddenly, someone placed a drastic knock on the door and Miranda assumed that it was her daughter.
"Esperanza.....," she runs towards the door, and Emerson follows her steps.
She opened the door and her eyes went wide while her soul left her body.
