Chapter 24 Most powerful yet kindest

Chapter 24 Most powerful yet kindest
Emerson and Miranda suddenly get to their knees.

"My King......," Emerson let out.

"Did Esperanza come to meet you?" He asked and they peek at each other with confused expressions.

"Why would she come here? You took her to your kingdom....," Emerson let out, and Miranda's eyes filled with tears.

"My daughter.....," She whispered, and Emerson carried her before she fell.

"Miranda, are you okay?" Emerson asked and she was staring at Ezra.

" You took my daughter now where is she?" Miranda asked.

" Someone took her," Ezra said, and looked down. He gasped and turned.

"No.... Wait?" Emerson stopped him.

"Where is she? I want my daughter back," Emerson's eyes were teary with a hint of rage.

"She is not your daughter, and do not talk to me like this again," Ezra glared into his eyes and walked leaving him behind.

Miranda burst into tears, she stumbled and fell while her tears were getting unbearable.

Emerson went to her and cuddled her into his arms.

"Let's go inside," Emerson took her inside the house.

Emerson made her sit and offered her water.

"My daughter, she is so innocent in this world, in this world, how is she going to survive?" Miranda let out and Emerson caressed her hair.

"I believe her that she is strong enough, do you remember how she enthusiastically holds everything,"

"She will survive," Emerson said and Miranda nodded.

Her voice was quivering, and her body was trembling.

After some time she got calm and wanted to find her daughter.

"We need to look for our daughter," Miranda said.

" Calm down, Miranda...., even if she comes back, we are never going to see her again," Emerson said while sitting in grief.

" Why? What are you saying?" Miranda asked with a frown, and that was the moment when Esperanza was about to knock on the door but she stopped.

"He knows that she is not our daughter ....," Emerson let out with a cracking voice and Esperanza went into shock.

"What? How did he know?" Miranda was startled.

"He opened my eyes, that was the secret we were hiding from for years, but I do not know how he came to know that," Emerson let out, and Esperanza's life left her body.

" Stop it......, stop... it, Emerson, she is our daughter, and she will always be......," Miranda let out with teary eyes.

"No one can separate us from her," she let out, and Esperanza's breath went profound, her heart started beating unbearably, her body started trembling, and the tears started.

Orion saw her struggling and came down.

"Are you okay?" He asked and clutched her arm.

" No.....," She whispered and Miranda heard her voice.

"Who ... Who is there.....," Miranda asks.

" Take me away....., "Esperanza said he clutched her and flew with her away.

Miranda opened the door and found no one. Emerson came to see but the place was vacant.

"What happened?" He asked.

" I thought Esperanza had come," she let out with looking down.

Emerson hugged her and took her inside.

Esperanza was crying, her sentinels were hurt, her being was shattered.

Orion cannot see her like this, he was trying his best to make her feel good, but everything was in vain.

Her tears were crushing and strongly pensive.

"Tell me what happened?" He asked with a low voice and gave her a side cuddle. She gathered her strength and let out.

"I.... I am not their daughter," her words make Orion flustered.

" What can this not be? How do you know?" He asked.

"I heard them talking," She said and Orion got her closer.

" Do not worry! Esperanza, you should ask them. This would never be explicit to you. Maybe this is a lie," Orion said.

"No.... I know I am not their daughter..... but I was aiming for it to be a lie, but that's true," Esperanza was completely shuddered.

" So what? Are you not going to meet them? Even if they are not your real parents, they are yours," Orion said.

"I can understand this pain......," Orion said and Esperanza nodded.

"I want to meet them, I should meet them," Esperanza said and Orion nodded.

"Let's go....," Orion takes her to the door again, and she knocks on it.

"Mother...... Father.....," She let out, Miranda heard her and ran towards the door.

"Mother........," Esperanza whispered, the door was opened, and Miranda once again got into tears.

She hugged her and started crying at the door. Emerson came out and hugged them both as well. The whole family cried as they rejoined the broken pieces of their lives.

"My daughter...... You are okay .... thank goodness.....," she caressed her hair and kissed her forehead.

" I am so happy to see you both, I love you......," she cried out loud.

Orion was standing in the tree, watching the warm family reunion; he smiled and hoped for her good.

"I want to give you everything, all the happiness that you deserve, that I never got a chance to live, Esperanza....," Orion whispered.

Esperanza was sitting with her parents, Miranda holding her hand, and Emerson sitting next to her; their eyes were filled with affection and adoration, but Esperanza's eyes were questioning and blank.

" Where did you go? Who took you?" Emerson asked and Esperanza gasped.

"Who told you that?" She asked.

"The King told us all about it," Emerson said and she rolled her eyes.

"Did you run from him?" Emerson asked.

"I never wanted to know why I would make him my enemy, but he killed five innocent people in front of me," Esperanza said.

"I do not want to see his face again. I saved his life because I thought he was a good man, but I was all wrong," Esperanza said, and her mother placed her hand under her chin.

"Do not make him your enemy, you know, if you want to survive in this world, you cannot get against a single dragon, and you are hating on the King of Dragons," Emerson said.

"But fa......," she wanted to call him father but her tongue did not allow her.

"But why is he after me?" Esperanza asked, and because she did not call him father, he frowned.

"Are you not going to call me your father my child?" He asked and she gasped while gazing down.

"Is everything alright?" Miranda asked and clutched her hands in both her hands.

"I heard you...," she let out, and their eyes went wide.

"I am not your daughter.....," she let out a dejected voice.

"You hid this from me throughout all these years," Esperanza asked, and the fall of tears left her eyes.

"Why did you do this to me? Why didn't you tell me?" She asked with pleading eyes.

"My daughter .......," Emerson's heart started racing hastily.

" You are my daughter, you are our daughter .....," Miranda's voice was stuttering.

"I want to hear the truth." She asked and took her hand from Miranda's hand.

" We never wanted to hurt you my daughter," Emerson said.

"You did...... Today you have done this to me, and now I want to know the truth, truth only.....," she let out with a trembling utterance.

"Tell him the truth ....," Miranda said and gave a slight nod to Emerson, and he responded with a nod.

"Seventeen years back......, when I was young and astute,"

"There is a place that is ancient and is located in the last corner of the earth, where there is snow throughout the year, and the sun is bright and high but cannot melt the snow."

"That snow is magical and unbreakable, He said and Esperanza got stunned with his words, this place is called, " Arctic flaming descend,"

"That's the place of miracles, if someone goes there and wishes for whatever they want the next moment it will be theirs,"

"That's the place where the Golden dragon was vigorous for years," Emerson was talking and Esperanza got absorbed in his words.

"The Golden Dragon was killed and betrayed here by the invaders," Emerson let out, and her heart started shivering; her breath was getting anxious as far as they were going; that sentinel was getting over her.

"But he was the most powerful?" Esperanza asked.

"Most powerful yet the kindest......," Emerson said.

"He made all those dragons and his heart was open and gentle for them that's why he allowed everyone here,"

"And one of those mischievous dragons killed him and his breed," Emerson said and Esperanza's soul went out of her body.

"How could someone be so ruthless?" Esperanza said and Emerson gasped with a nod.

"You have no idea how ferocious they could be," Emerson said and Esperanza wanted to know more.
