Chapter 10 Mesmerizing Beauty
Emerson's breath was about to be stopped; he was not getting the chance to settle.
His friends and companions rushed to the other side of the mountain, far from the valley.
Emerson was standing alone in front of that barbarian beast.
In his heart, he knows that it's going to be his last day; he closes his eyes, and in his mind, he rewinds all the memories with Esperanza and his wife.
" Please forgive me.....," his eyes became watery, and he closed his eyes to embrace his death.
And suddenly a voice came.
"Raymond, come down," Ezra came on his white horse.
Emerson was closing his eyes and praying for the good of his family.
Raymond got calm and frowned with his dragon gaze.
" I do not tell you to transform," Ezra said.
" Why do you need to be transformed to fight these tiny things?" Ezra asked and got off his horse.
Emerson heard his words and predicted his coming, he went down on his knee and bent down on the floor.
Ezra looked calm and was politely handling the situation.
" I.... I am sorry.......," Emerson let out.
"Please pardon me.....," he was begging Ezra and was bending down.
" Poor thing," Ezra felt mercy for him, but he had to stiffen his heart; in that way, he could not prove that he was a leader.
"But we have to do something, we cannot let you go with this," Ezra replied.
"But not only you, but we also want your other campaign as well," He said.
"You are taking us to your village," Ezra commanded.
" And we will make you pay in front of your people, so no one will try to attempt that again," Ezra said.
" No..... Please......," he got up and looked into Ezra's eyes.
His soldiers came and clutched him on both arms.
" Look down, you filthy thing," one of the men growled.
"Please do not in front of my daughter," Emerson said and Ezra's heart felt this.
"You have attempted the wrong thing, you would have asked," Ezra said.
"No one ever listened to us," Emerson replied.
"We do not know that you exist," Ezra replied.
He said and got on his horse again, his troops bound him in shackles and made him walk with them.
Esperanza opened her eyes and broke the closeness.
Orion frowned, and with a glare, he peeked at her.
"Are you assuredly going to marry him?" He asked.
" Yes, ...... I.... I am," she replies with trembling lips.
He smiled and affably looked into her eyes. She looked adorable, and her innocence was surprising him.
What are you looking at? She asked, and all of a sudden his gesture changed.
He felt something, something precarious was coming to them.
" Why are they moving here?" He let go of her arms and looked out of the window. Esperanza also felt that but she does not know what it is.
She moved to the window and looked outside.
"Who are they?" She asked.
"My vengeance.....," he whispered and Esperanza heard him.
I need to go, do not come out, he holds her hand and makes her understand everything.
They are dangerous, do not come out. I am out there, protecting you. Do not worry. He placed both his hands on her face.
He nodded while looking into her eyes and she nodded back.
He rushed towards the forest and vanished.
Esperanza saw a crowd of horses and men coming into their village. She was stunned to see them because she had never seen anything wearing royalty and prosperity in her village.
She stands here, and her eyes are stuck on them.
They stopped in front of their house, and Esperanza's heartbeat stopped when she saw her father shackled and grabbed by a trooper.
" Father.......," she let out louder and her heart jumped into her chest.
She froze there and Ezra's gaze fell on her mesmerizing beauty.
He flickers his eyes because he has never seen someone with this enchanting beauty.
He forgot that he is here to punish someone.
Esperanza ran downstairs and came out.
Ezra came off his horse and stood there without having words in his mouth.
" What ..... happened to you?" She ran to him and the troops positioned in front of him.
She stopped and Esperanza turned her shimmering eyes on him.
He followed his hand up, and the guard got released. She kneeled to his father and grabbed her hand.
"Oh my daughter," he let out and with tears she hugged him tight.
" What happened? Who are they?" She asked while crying, and her mother also knelt here.
"He.... is the king..... of dragons....," he let out with a flustering voice, and their eyes widened.
They got stunned and looked at them with terror.
"What do they want?" Amanda asked.
"They caught me, I have theft," he let out, and it was clear that he was not able to talk.
"They... are going to kill me......," he let out, and Amanda burst out in tears.
Esperanza's eyes were framing small pearls that were smoothly sliding off her face.
She turned her pleading eyes on Ezra, and at that moment, he felt something strange for the first time in his life.
" Please..... do not do this to us," she let out in a quivering voice.
Her tears were piercing into his heart, and that pain she was feeling was getting enormous on Ezra's being.
" You can take me instead of him," Esperanza said.
"I will do whatever you want, let him go, please," Esperanza pleaded, and Ezra was not able to look at anything else in that moment.
"Please, do not kill him." Her melodious voice was a pleasure to his ears, and her trembling body was enchanting to watch.
"Why did you stop here?" Raymond shrugged his shoulders.
"Huh......," He got out of his thoughts, but again got a glimpse of her excessively radiant being.
"Why.... Why are we here?" Ezra asked.
"To punish those thieves," Raymond answered.
Ezra lowers his gaze and tries not to look into her eyes.
" I.... I think we are missing something here," he replied.
"What? My king....," Raymond was flabbergasted.
" I think we should do something about that issue," Ezra said.
"What? What are you saying my king?" Raymond was perplexed by his bewildering comment.
"I am saying that we should do something about the issue of water here," Ezra commanded.
