Chapter 72

*LUNA*

I waited for a while before I decided to return to the dungeon, the guards let me in immediately they saw me and after requiring about Heather's cell, I hurried over to see her. A gasp escape my lips as I met her lying on the cold floor with her dress torn beyond recognition, I didn't even want to imagine what she had gone through.

"You! Open this cell right this instance" I barked at one of the guards who immediately hurried over to open it. I went inside and turn Heather over, she blink slowly awake, her eyes widened and scared. She started to struggle to get away from me but she was too weak.

"Let's me go! You are here to hurt me right? To slash my face the same way I did yo you? Why don't you get it over with and while you are at it, do me a favour and kill me" She hissed finally managing to untangled herself away from me.

Taking a deep breath I stood up knowing she would continue to struggle to touch her, my own case might not have been this worse but I understood what she was going through. She might deserve to he punished for what she did but not like this. I don't even know how to assure her of anything.

"I'm not here to kill you? I'm here to help you" I stepped away from her as she stood up on her feet trying desperately to wrap what was left of her torn dress more tightly around her.

"What made you think I need your help?" She reported glaring at me. "I'm sure you are happy, you got your mate to put me through hell. Chance never raped you but your mate made sure I was raped and brutalized, I hope you are happy with yourself. Get lost" She screamed reaching for me before I could react, she pounced on me grabbing me by the throat and squeezing hard.

My back conlided with the dungeon wall and I felt it burn through my skin to the point where I started to bleed, I coughed, struggle, kick and fight to get her off me but nothing seems to work. Her wolf was obviously healing her from the physical pain she had went through and when I thought I was going to die, suddenly someone shoved her away from me and then knocking her to the ground.

I touched my neck as I hurried out of the cell coughing, another guard came to join the one who had pushed Heather off of me and they were trying to hold her down as she scream her lungs out. Feeling lost I returned back to my room, Scarlet and Rebekah stopped arguing immediately they saw me walk in.

"Geez! What happened to the back of you neck? Your arm?" Rebekah asked as she started to inspect me. "This look like a silver wound. Where have you been?" Realization slammed into her and she dropped my arm. "Let me guess you went to see Heather and she tried to kill you" She guessed.

"What?" Scarlet injected. "Why would you do that? I can't believe you feel sorry for someone who basically ruined your life. It possible that if that scar had never been on your face, your life would have been so different" She pointed out, something I had often wondered about.

"You guys don't understand, I'm a girl. I know Heather ruined my life, she is the reason why I'm basically like this. The reason why I'm weak and considered useless, don't you think that bothers me? Don't get me wrong, I hate Heather. I just thought Alpha Kayden went overboard with the punishment he gave her. I'm a girl and that is cruel, I would never forgive him for that" I told them earning surprise expressions.

"I don't know what to say but I believe she deserve whatever punishment Alpha Kayden sentence her to. You might have not been the first girl she did something like that to. Who knows how many? People like that feel like they could treat people however they like because they got the power. You don't need to feel guilty" Rebekah assured me coursing me to wonder if she knew what punishment Kayden had passed on Heather.

"The punishment was for her to be almost raped by death and dumped at the border of my former pack. And something like that is asking for war. Heather was a very important member back in my pack and the same goes for her mate. The councils are not going to seat back and let something like this slide and everyone will blame me like always" I concluded breathing heavily.

"Well seems like Alpha cares a great deal about you, that's so sweet" Scarlet chidded and I glared in her direction not believing that after everything I just said, she only picked that.

"Okay you are right, that punishment was a little too harsh" Rebekah agreed finally understanding. The room went silence for a couple of minute before a weird breeze started to blow, I hurried over to close the window but before I could reach there, of has stopped and Miranda was standing in my room.

"Of course it is you" Scarlet rolled her eyes not at least surprised.

"Who is this?" That came from a puzzled Rebekah.

"Actually what I would like to know is how the bloody hell did she get into my room? Isn't there a boundary spell around the palace that stops uninvited guests from coming in?" I required staring at Miranda as she stare blankly at us.

"No, this isn't Miranda. The councils have a witch they consult that can help them create an illusion and send it to any place they want" She explained and to prove her point, I tried touching Miranda but my hand went through.

As if on cue Illusion Miranda started to speak and it was directed at Scarlet and I. "You have both go against the councils and will be punished accordingly and you Luna the councils are watching you" After that the illusion faded away and I frowned.

Just that? That was the message? Every nerve of my body didn't believe it. The councils are up to something. Only if there is a way for me to do that.
