*LUNA*

I stared at him uncertainly still unsure of what I just heard him say, what if due to my nervousness I didn't hear him clearly? I wondered before deciding that things like that couldn't be misunderstood, we are talking about Alpha Kayden here. I shook my head taking a step away from him. "I don't understand what you mean" I finally said waiting for his reaction.

"You heard and understand me correctly" He replied taking a step towards me, I didn't back away this time instead I stood on the spot watching his head lower down, it took only a second for me to realize he was about to kiss me and despite my body fighting him to lean closer to him, I turned my face and instead of my lips, his lips landed on my cheeks.

I don't know if I'm supposed to kiss the person I was helping plan to kill, I guess the next time Miranda showed up I'll have to ask her, for now I will take on Kayden's offer about fighting back. When I looked at him, he was glaring at me but I didn't miss the amusement in his gaze. He truly likes the fact that I fight back. For someone who want me to be submissive, I find that very surprisingly.

"I was told you were looking for me" I said changing the subject, I wished he would put on a shirt or something, I find my gaze going going to his broad shoulder, wide chest and the urge to do something stupid like lick them was getting harder to resist.

"I did, I was hoping my pet would help me get dressed today" He gestured with his hand, I almost drool by the way his muscle of his arm flex, does he know what he's doing to me? A man like him doesn't need to try hard and I couldn't help but be mad at myself for not being able to resist him.

I searched my brain recalling what Miranda had said, something about me being attracted to Kayden and hating him at the same time. Is that even possible? Plus I have no idea what an attraction is supposed to be. Maybe I can cause Rebekah about that since she has a mate and she might know a lot about feelings.

And I went ahead to do as I was instructed, which wasn't easy, I became so nervous I almost strap his belt around his manhood don't even ask me how that is possible, I barely had an idea of what I was doing, he stood still chuckling at my clumsiness and once I was done, I bolted out of the room not waiting for his orders. I was walking down to my room when I was suddenly pulled and shoved into an unfamiliar room.

Thinking it was Sophie I turned around quickly to give her a piece of my mind but stop when I saw it wasn't her, in fact I had no idea who the girl standing in front of me is but judging from the way she was dressed, she's no doubt one of the members. She walked over to the door, poke her head through it probably making sure no one was around to hear her answer my question on why she pulled me here.

"Do I know you?" I demanded immediately she closed the door behind her.

"Well you are about to. I'm Scarlet" She introduced, flipping her hair away from her face.

"I still don't know you and at this rate I don't really care who you are, just don't pull something like this again" I warned before turning to leave.

"You are just like the councils described you to be" She said and at the mention of the councils name, I stopped walking.

"Did you just say the councils? What do you know about them and what is that suppose to mean?" I demanded wanting her to answer me immediately but she just laughed like I said something really funny. I never felt like hitting a stranger who has done nothing to me until now, meeting my gaze she stopped laughing.

"Oh! You are serious with those questions, I thought you would have figure it out by now duh. I'm the girl the councils sent to pass their instructions to you and keep an eye on you so you won't make any mistake and I'm to report anything I see about you to them. You just came out of Alpha Kayden's room, no one is allowed to go in there" She pointed out.

"That is none of your business, just do what you are asked to and stay out of my business" Okay I don't like this nosy girl. What could have drive her to agree to be a spy for the councils despite knowing how dangerous it is.

She gave me the seriously look before speaking. "I dragged you into my room...." I interrupted her.

"This is your room? Why? You are not Alpha's mistress and the only people who shared this side of the house is the mistresses and their maids. Who are you working under?" I required.

"I'm supposed to be working for you but you bluntly refuse to have a personal maid. We are going to fix that mistake, the more closer I am to you the better. Ask Caroline you want me to be your maid and if she disagree, you can just report her to Alpha" Okay, I don't like where this is going. "As I was saying, I dragged you in here to inform you about your first order"

I groaned. I don't even need to ask to know whatever it was would be drastic, I never expected it to be easy. I hope it will all work out so I can have the one thing I crave for the most.

"You have been pretty slow, I have been here for a week now" At the shock expression on my face, she laughed again. "I'm good at staying out of your sight, like I said. You are slow, your first order is to gain Kayden's trust, it looks to me you are his favorite mistress that why Sophie is jealous. He rarely visit his two other mistress, Beatrice and Fiona, the two girls Sophie had almost injured due to jealousy"

"That happened like a month or so ago and you've been here only a week, how do you know about that?"

"The other servants told me. They really gossip a lot and another thing they also gossip about is you and a girl name Rebekah, they hate you and they believe the Rebekah girl shouldn't be the Gamma's mate. Is she not your friend?" She asked.

"She is and she knows nothing about the fact that I'm working for you know who, I'll tell her once the time is right, she will be so happy but right now I don't want to worry her and stay away from her" I warned pointing a finger at her. "Alpha Kayden doesn't trust anyone, he only two people he trusts are Damon and Darren and I'm guessing it's debated, I'm only his mistress" I pointed out.

"It all depends on how much your freedom is worth and how badly you want it" She reported, there was a sad edge to her voice.

"You are also doing this for your freedom" I asked softly and she nodded in agreement.

"Now go, start working on winning his trust, you don't have plenty of time. If I were you, I will start working on it right away before the councils come with the next instruction. Have a nice day Luna" She said opening the door for me, I took a deep breath as I exit her room thinking about ways to win Alpha Kayden impossible trust. The man is complicated, he wants me to fight him and still be his submissive? He better make up his mind on which one he wants me to be, I thought stepping into my room.

I met Rebekah in the same position I had left her only that she was reading a book, on seeing me she dropped it. "Phew, you were gone for like forever" She remarked.

Despite not meaning to blush, I did biting the inside on my cheek to stop myself. "Sorry about that. I think I'm going to need a maid after all, Alpha insist I get one. You should too" I told her.

She sigh in defeat. "Fine, I will do that"

"Can I ask you a question? What is an attraction?" I blurted out before my courage fails me. "Do you have any idea?" I pressed harder.

"I'm only a year older than you Luna and I'm as inexperience as you are. I'm thinking it's an emotion that has to do with lust? I will have to ask Darren" She told me.

*A feeling that has to do with lust* I echoed recalling all the tines I have been in his present and feeling that way and it all came down to the first time I had seen his shaft and then his naked upper body just a few minutes ago.

So... I'm lusting after Alpha Kayden? I asked no one one in particular. "Just great" I muttered under my breath.
