Chapter 130 Back To the Mansion
Following Andreas' departure, his elder daughters spoke on and on about their claim concerning Isabella's daughter.
It had taken a while for him to realize he should have done better, not because he didn't question Isabella's intention, but the fear of Luciano's wrath.
"I've had enough!", Mr Morales said as he entered the kitchen where his elder daughters won't shut up to their mother.
"But father!
It's the truth...!", Bianca's sentence was interrupted by her father.
"Do you have any idea who I was trying to reach on the phone?!", Mr Morales asked his daughters and his wife.
"We...!"
"You don't see it, do you?!", Mr Morales asked.
"You wouldn't possibly understand.
You both weren't here when he strangled me the other day.
I'm afraid this time, I might actually get killed!", Mr Morales said as he slouched.
He walked back to his office after speaking in a cryptic manner.
The ladies didn't understand what he had to say just yet.
"Amore!", Mrs Morales called out as she followed after her husband.
His daughter had left abruptly after the argument that happened earlier.
Whereas, all efforts to call Andreas was futile.
If anything happened to Isabella, Mr Morales feared they would feel the most of Luciano's wrath.
"What!?
What were you talking about earlier in the kitchen?!", Mrs Morales asked her husband as she entered his home office.
"We shouldn't have allowed them to speak that way to her, or behind her back...!", Mr Morales started.
"But, they could have been telling the truth!", Mrs Morales said, trying to make sense of her unexpected granddaughter.
"I don't think it's true!", Mr Morales said after the thoughts that accompanied the missed phone calls.
"But...!", Mr Morales started, trying to see how not.
"Why would his very own assistant show up here if she seduced him!?", Mr Morales asked his wife the question that had been bugging him.

He had learnt of the situation, however The Morales family didn't matter to him at that specific moment.
Luciano was worried about the wellbeing of Isabella and Sofia, especially after what happened back at her apartment in Umbria.
Hearing Andreas divulge the news to him, Luciano felt emotions he hadn't felt in a long time.
Fear!
Fear of losing people that actually mattered to him.
"... We've looked around the axis Don, but we still haven't found anything!", Andreas reported to Luciano following the quick sweep of the area.
"No CCTV?!", Luciano asked coldly.
"None sir!", Andreas answered.
Everyone watched as Luciano stood up and grabbed the glass he was drinking from.
The tension in the room sent chills down their spine, reminding them of how he had reacted when the search for Isabella didn't yield any results.
"Leave us!", Luciano ordered as he poured himself more whisky.
The men did as they were ordered, leaving just Luciano and Andreas in the room.
"Do you think anyone is doing this...
To punish me?!", Luciano asked genuinely after several gulps.
The ache in his heart poured through his voice.
He brought his head to his palms in deep thought.
"No one knows she's in Milan yet...!"
The vibration of Andreas' phone could be heard in the quiet space, interrupting their conversation.
"Maybe we should keep looking!", Andreas suggested, ignoring his ringing phone.
The phone however, kept ringing, annoying Luciano even more.
"Just pick up the damned phone!", Luciano said in disgust.
Following Luciano's directive, Andreas brought out his phone to see Guiseppe calling.
His sense of urgency peaked Luciano's interest, thus, he was eager to know who was calling.
"What?
Downstairs?!", Andreas asked in disbelief as he rushed out of the mansion.
It turned out Guiseppe had driven Isabella and their daughter back to the mansion with no scratches.
Luciano was hot on his tail as he tried to figure out what happened.
However, he was quick to place it all together as he saw the familiar van.
He rushed towards Isabella who was only alighting the van and wrapped her in a hug.
His disheveled self enough to show his disarray, Isabella tried to resist his hug.
"Just let me hug you for a while!", Luciano said in her ears as he enveloped her in his arms.
The view was rather strange for Luciano's men.
It was strange for anyone else as they had never seen The Don hug anyone who wasn't his uncle.
He was literally hugging a woman.
Several men exchanged looks as they finally understood the severity of The Don's feelings.
The sight was also seen by the enemy they didn't know they had yet.
Mia!
She sneered as she saw The Don express something which wasn't anger.
Although unexpected, it was still a trivial part that she needed to be reported.
Being in the mansion had given her front row tickets to see Luciano panic, over a woman!
Not in her years of working for him had she seen him panic in such a way.
Their reaction was all she needed to report to her anonymous caller that their relationship was certainly more than they thought.
Luciano reached into the van and brought out an excited Sofia.
She was rather happy to see the man who wouldn't stop showering her with gifts.
"Someone gave me something for you while we were out!", Isabella reported as Luciano hugged Sofia to his chest.
Luciano looked at nothing in particular as he was in deep thoughts.
His suspicion was true, people were getting interested in his business...
Fast!!
"Did he give you a name?!", Luciano asked curiously.
Isabella shook her head as she looked at the bag she placed gently beside Sofia's car seat.
"He did give me that!
Said something about a surprise!", Isabella said.
Luciano wondered who was bold enough to pull such a stunt.
One which could only have happened because Isabella sent her detail back to the mansion.
"Let's go upstairs first!
You two need to have something to eat!", Luciano said, still carrying Sofia in his arms.

The dynamic had changed, especially since Isabella had left the mansion more than three years before.
The men had been quick to shift with it, making sure not to annoy Luciano.
One would probably wonder about the treatment Luciano made sure she got.
The man was only trying to take care of her like he thought he should.
He would soon learn to let a lot of things go in order to love her properly.
