Chapter 272 272

Chapter 272 272
MAD

“Congratulations, Mr. Shanewood, Your Highness.”
“Thank you.” Tara smiled, eyeing Katie with curiosity. “Wow. You’re beautiful. What happened to your face?”
“She’s taking Sylvian’s place for the time being. This is Katie Miller, Terzo’s friend.”
“Terzo’s friend?” Her eyes widened, staring at me and back to Katie. “The guy who caught that monster? You didn’t mention the hatchet man was a woman.”
“Didn’t I?” I tried to remember.
“A hot woman.” She looked at Katie from head to toe, admiring her. “Damn.”
I laughed, shaking my head. “Excuse me? We just got married, Tara.”
She stood up and hugged Katie. “Thanks for everything you did and for protecting him.” And then she kissed her on the cheek.
“You’re welcome, Your Highness, and I was just doing my job.” Katie was surprised by the hug and a kiss.
“Are you single, Katie?” Tara sat back, fastening her seatbelt. “I also noticed an accent.”
“Yeah. I’m Katja Rusov from Russia, and yes, I’m single. I’m not looking for a relationship right now, but thank you both for giving me a temporary job.” Katie went to the back with the guys.
And the jet took off a few minutes later.
“We’re gonna have our honeymoon, enjoy our time, eat good food, have fun, and have a lot of sex.”
She pressed her lips against mine, laughing softly. “There might be a slight problem.”
I pulled back a little, reading her face. “What do you mean? What kind of problem?”
She scrunched her nose. “Don’t hate me.”
“Never, my love. How can I ever hate you? What’s the problem?”
“Agh. I’m gonna ruin our honeymoon, am I?”
“Just tell me already.” I took her hands and kissed each knuckle one by one.
“I had my period last night.”
“What the fuck?” Slightly disappointed, I frowned. “Of all the days when we’re free and on our honeymoon, that’s the time it starts. What a fucking spoilsports!”
“I’m sorry.” Her face fell. She looked so apologetic because she didn’t like to have sex on her period. It was her preference, and I respected that.
“Don’t be.” I smiled, catching her chin to kiss her again. “We should try in the shower.”
“What?”
“But I can wait. Honeymoon isn’t always about sex. It’s relaxation, a celebration of our new life together, and were going on a romantic adventure.” I reached for her hands, watching her with curiosity as to why it sounded so important to her.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” She stared at me, eyes soft.
“Come here.” I patted my lap as I realized it was important to us.
She was eager to unlatch her seatbelt and sit on my lap, her arms looped around my neck. “What is it, Mad?”
“You’re having your first period after the treatment. So, it worked, and it means we’re gonna get pregnant.”
“Yes.”
“Oh, thank God. I love you so much, baby. We’re going to make a lot of babies.”

Somewhere in the Caribbean
The sun was bright, warming my skin as I opened the panoramic doors of the spacious en-suite bedroom to the house-length balcony that overlooked the pristine coastline and endless views of the turquoise blue waters.
The forty-five-minute drive to the villa was worth it, even if the helicopter could save us time. Tara and I were more amazed by the unspoilt nature surrounding the area.
The instant change of plan was a great idea, even for a security reason.
Finally, we had the time to ourselves as the place was expansive for us while our details were staying at the end side of the private resort, and we had time to explore the island for ourselves.
Chuckling, I closed the book. T.S Prince’s mind never ceased to amaze me, even if I was married to her. She was a great storyteller, but Dawn needed a continuation. And they were right, the sex scenes were steamy.
I gazed down from the exterior terrace to the infinity pool, where Tara had fun by herself in her summer yellow two-piece swimsuit. Beside it was the shaded dining area surrounded by beautiful tropical blooms.
I couldn’t look away from her as she swam backstroke like a pro. Her light skin shone against the sun, and her toned legs, flat stomach, and the great curves of her waistline fascinated me.
Knowing she was mine, my wife, it warmed my heart and made my heartbeat thump hard in my chest.
It was our second day at the family-owned private beach enclave. Yesterday, she enjoyed our boat ride as we chartered a boat to explore this calming oasis. And yes, we changed our honeymoon destinations, as she called it, being spontaneous, and one of the reasons we picked this place was our love for the ocean.
I put on my swim shorts and went downstairs, passing through the length of the house with the living room uniquely decorated in a colorful, perfect blend of Caribbean culture and modern interior design.
“Can you bring us a fresh fruit cocktail to the pool, please?” I told the staff.
“Absolutely, sir,” he replied with enthusiasm in his thick accent.
I just stepped out of the door, and Tara instantly saw me. Her bright blue gaze flicked towards me, swimming in my direction. “About time you come down.”
“I lost track of time watching you.” I kicked off my flip-flops and stepped into the pool.
“Liar. You were reading Dawn.”
I laughed. “So you were watching me, not the other way around.”
“So what do you say about the book? Which one did you enjoy most? Midnight or Dawn?” She rose the water, swinging her arms around my neck to kiss me on the lips. I instantly wrapped my arms around her body. Despite her coming from the water, I felt the warmth radiating between us.
“I love it. You should write Book 3.” I lifted her and kissed her back.
“So you love Dawn more than Midnight?”
“I love them both, but Dawn is dedicated to me. It always has a special place in my heart, and that’s not all, you wrote it while—”
“I know.” She looked right into my eyes. “If it weren’t for you, the plot might not be as deep as it is. And Dawn saved my life. You both saved my life.”
“I love you, Tara.” I kissed her. How could I be so lucky to be loved by someone as amazing and strong a woman as kissing me back right now?
