Chapter 95

Chapter 95

Lila stumbled as Alexander moved, her feet losing balance for a moment.

She had just steadied herself when Alexander's lips caught up with hers as she tried to pull away. What was supposed to be just a peck turned into a long, deep, passionate kiss under his control and lead.

He pressed forward step by step, pinning her directly against the entryway cabinet beside them.

They say kissing is a beautiful thing, and you should close your eyes and truly feel it when it happens.

But at this moment, Lila's eyes were wide open in disbelief.

Of course, Alexander's eyes were open too.

She even saw something like provocation in his gaze, as if telling her "I'll do whatever I want with you, and you can only accept it."

Lila's mind was filled with nothing but shock.

She didn't know how long this lasted, or when it ended.

Lila only remembered that when they pulled apart, Alexander looked down at her from above, saying in a lecturing tone, "That's what a kiss is. Got it now?"

Lila's eyes were innocent, even a bit wronged like she'd been taken advantage of, "But you just said it was a peck."

He curved his lips, "Same thing."

"You were just taking advantage of me."

"One kiss counts as taking advantage of you? Miss Grace, you really are incredibly naive."

She bit down on her jaw, forcing herself to speak, "Fine, I'm naive then. So, my scheming dear, are we done building our relationship for today? Can you leave my room now?"

Alexander didn't move. Instead, he asked her, "How did it feel?"

Lila was confused, "What?"

Alexander patiently spelled it out, "Me kissing you, how did it feel?"

Lila was so surprised she didn't know what to say.

Kisses come with post-event interviews now?

Was his brain missing some basic common sense?

Lila sighed silently to herself, but still gave a perfunctory answer to his stupid question, "It was okay."

Alexander's expression changed instantly, "Okay?"

She looked at his dangerous gaze, even suspecting that her "okay" rating wasn't just about the kiss, but questioning his ability in some other way.

Lila pressed her lips together, feeling a bit at a loss.

She glanced at the doorway, sidled over a few steps, and when her hand could reach the handle, she looked back at Alexander, her face flushed, "I've only kissed you, never anyone else, so I don't know how to rate it. Anyway, I didn't hate it."

These words seemed to please him.

Because Alexander raised an eyebrow, and his lips showed a slight upward trend.

But Lila didn't see it, because she had already looked away from him.

She just wanted to get him out so she could properly process everything that had happened tonight.

Lila opened the bedroom door, covered her mouth and yawned, then looked at him, speaking in a coaxing tone, "Dear, I'm tired and want to sleep. Can we stop building our relationship for today?"

Alexander lazily looked her over, completely ignoring what she said.

He gave her a sudden announcement, "I've thought about it. Since we're already married, we shouldn't sleep in separate rooms. So tonight, you're coming to my bedroom to sleep with me."

Lila's hand, still resting on the door handle, slipped down when she heard this.

Although she felt Alexander was being unreasonable, she still tried to speak gently, "When we made the marriage agreement, we both agreed to sleep in separate rooms. We can't just change that on a whim, right?"
